5/5 for this one! This one had my emotions all over the place. Another wild ending that has me immediately reading the next book. I love all these characters. They are like family. I need the next one!

This is my favorite one so far! Things are heating up and I cried several times in this book! The end shocked me and MAJOR CLIFFHANGER. Yes, I am already reading the 13th and FINAL novel in this series.
Such an adventure! Only one more grim reaper book to go.

Another 7 hrs for #24b4monday
It was bound to happen. I was just bragging about being 10 books in and still loving the series. Number 12 just isn't as great as the rest. Maybe the revisiting of amnesia even though it is a different character. This one also seems to be more redundant in explanations of previous happenings in other books of the series. (That lengthy, twisty sentence would fit right in in this book)
1. I did throw this one at the end. Violently. There are reasons. I'm still mad about it.
2. I usually go home
3. There was an incident involving tequila, a bar and a ping pong table....we don't talk about it.
4. Anything clean. Oh and lilacs. Always lilacs
5. Grey Ashes.

These books never fail to put a smile on my face. They are quick, easy reads, & Charley is just downright entertaining. Even when her life has gone to hell she laughs it off with a heavy dose of sarcasm & wit. She just rolls with the punches and doesn't let anything get in her way.
I laughed, I cried, and that ending?!!!! I am not ready for this series to end!!
Congrats Tamara on your milestone! 🎉👏🏻🙌🏻🎶💃🏼🕺🏼
And thanks for this #3333giveaway.
Picking one fave is hard, but the first author that popped into my head was the awesome Darynda Jones. Fave genre is urban fantasy & fave color is deep blue (or really any of the darker, oceany blues).
This weekend‘s SFF Reading Series event with Darynda Jones and Jeffe Kennedy at BookBar was fantastic fun!
I don‘t think I can love Charley and more. The ending is so heart wrenching. I‘ve had a great time re-listening to this series. I‘m so sad the next book will be the last.
Attending a meeting in the North Georgia mountains. The view from my window is made even better by this gem. Love this series, which is way outside my normal choice of historical fiction. #GoodMorning#Littens

I had the pleasure of meeting Darynda Jones at the HallowRead book festival last October. Not only are her books fantastic, she is a genuinely nice (& funny) person. I also had time to just hang out with her & talk. Such a fun weekend!
Juno sleeps under the bed so I brought my kobo to her tonight. Wow! What a great read! I mean I caught onto a few things before Charley did but I couldn‘t have guessed where Darynda would leave it off. Only one more book in the series after this. I‘m not ready to say goodbye. 😔

Curled up with my book and watching Niagara on the Lake wake up. 🍷🧀#vacationreading #toomuchwineyesterday
With this installment, I had the laughter and fun, the continuation of a story that progresses in so many different ways and also the 'gasps' and the 'OMG' moments which worked very well alongside the intense and jaw dropping 'FUCK' moments!!!! But come on, that ending - That God Dammed Blasted Ending!!!! What a mother of all cliffhangers!!!
Highly recommended, well worth every single written word!
I think it took me longer than normal to finish this 12th book in the series because I found the first half didn't grab my interest--but the last 80 pages or so had me gripped & I'm still thinking about the cliffhanger--so it's a pick. This is the penultimate book as the series ends on number 13 & I'm sad about that even though the last 4 books have not been as funny & engaging for me as the first 8. I do love these characters & will miss them.🖤
Got my work done (at least the work I intend to do today) 😆so I'm spending some time finishing this one up as it must go back to the library tomorrow. My audiobook hold came in this morning though so if I don't finish it tonight, I'm still covered. Max has joined me in the reading chairs for one of his afternoon naps. 😽❤️#catsoflitsy So very sorry for the loss of your sweet fur baby 🐱 @TaylorMay --Max and I send our 💜.
You'd think 7:30 would be early enough to get in & out of Whole Foods before the crowds but it was holiday madness there & everywhere else today so I rewarded myself with an apple hand pie & a soy cinnamon-dolce latte & I'm finally back home. I'm farther along in this book but this quote "Coffee:A warm, delicious alternative to hating everyone forever." sums up my feelings. Check out my adorable Jane Eyre bookmark from @imabusybee ? #bookmarkswap
At the risk of being laughed or yelled off Litsy because I KNOW it's actually truly cold, even freezing practically everywhere but here... I've not been able to get warm all day-so after finishing work & errands I got a soy-cinnamon latte at SBUX on my way home & I'm currently camped out on the couch with it, chocolate & a current read wearing sweats, socks & a blanket. In my defense-everyone else I've talked to here is cold too. #bloodthins 😬❄️
Taking a work-at-home lunch break with leftover Lemony Chickpea Noodle Soup (I added capers to the feta topping-yum!)😋🍲Finally starting this one. Too many library books, too little reading time. I am hoping things slow down in a few days project-wise & I can binge read a bit.📚📚😬📚📚📚
Library run on the way home to pick up my transfer of (brand new copy!🤗) The Trouble with Twelfth Grave. Hunger was sitting in new books & my audio transfer just came in but I grabbed it in case the audio doesn't wow me, then I saw Paperbacks from Hell sitting there & had to get it to see how many of the 70s & 80s horror paperbacks I read or recognized. (I read A LOT of them in the 80s) & got a gorgeous cookbook at the library bookstore for $1.🤗
These books are always such a wild, fun, sarcastic, crazy ride, and I loved revisiting the entire gang on this installment. Charley always makes me laugh, the mysteries are always twisted, the behavior outrageous, and those cliffhangers always leave me wanting more! Great fun series on audiobook, and one that I‘ll miss once it‘s finished.
As usual Charley Davidson was great. This book wasn‘t my favorite of the series, but always a good ride and always a great cliffhanger.
I got to see the lovely Darynda @ B&N today! It was nice to catch up with her after so long! 😊
I‘m having concentration issues while reading lately. Just sooo much going on at work, been sick, etc. So, decided to put all other books aside and delve into the latest Charlie Davidson mystery! As usual, Darynda Jones doesn‘t disappoint! It was wonderful and ended with an unexpected twist. Cannot wait for #13! ♥️♥️
This series is one of my favorite and this book is the epitome of why!! Oh my!!! I was on edge the whole book and just when I thought things were ok the world upturns and cliff hanger!!!! 😳 How much longer do I have to wait for the next book to come out to see what happens? (Did I mention that I was able to read this as an advanced copy through netgalley.com? It comes out around Halloween!) Oh the suspense is going to kill me!!! LOVE THIS SERIES!
I absolutely love this series! This is another really good addition to the Charley Davidson story. Lots of shocks in this one along with the usual laughs. I listened to this entire series until the last two and the narrator is fantastic. I rarely read books twice but this series I would purchase the audiobooks and listen to them over and over.
Love these!!
