This should have been my cup of tea. The ghouls are non-human creatures that eat human flesh. This reminds of vampires and I love Buddy and The Vampire Diaries. So I‘m not sure what happens, but I won‘t rush to read the next volumes.

Tokyo Ghoul was not at all my jam, but that's a me problem. It did fill the Manga Horror prompt for the #NoShameReadathon23 , which was the point!
I've wanted to check this out for so long. I've watched a few episodes of the anime and from what I can tell.. pretty similar. Lots of blood and moral dilemmas for poor Ken. The next volume I put on hold and gotta waaait 😭
Hey Litsy! My son is in 7th grade and loves Tokyo Ghoul and Demon Slayer. However, he‘s feeling like reading a novel because he burns through the mangas so fast. He needs a book for free reading time at school. Any suggestions?
57 of 2021. Day 2 and book 2 for #awesomeapril . Ken Kaneki is a student who barely survives a deadly encounter where his date reveals herself as a ghoul and tries to eat him. He is taken to the hospital in critical condition. After recovering, Kaneki discovers that he underwent a surgery that transformed him into a half-ghoul. I really enjoyed this so I will continue this manga. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Really enjoyed reading the first book in the Tokyo Ghoul series!
The artwork is cool, the story is intriguing and I‘m wondering where it will go next!
My new introduction to Tokyo Ghoul, sure was cool! With this digital read, I'll plan eventually for picking up the 1 again, & book 2 also, at bookstores in the future; seeing if these keep me interested for more. 💀☕️
This is my Manga #Bookspin for December. Ken Kaneki is a bookworm who gets drawn into the dark world of ghouls after an organ transplant. He struggles to find where he belongs between these two worlds. +91 #Wintergames2020 #MerryReaders #ReadYourWay #CrushtheRush #BookspinBingo #MerryBookmas #25DaysofManga #ReindeerReadathon
This was my first time reading Manga, it was recommended to me by a friend. Its not something I would ever of thought I would have enjoyed as I don't usually like animation or comics etc. So I was really surprised at just how much I enjoyed reading this for both the story itself and the artwork. I loved it and am looking forward to reading the other books in this series and also trying some more Manga.
First book down for #MrBook1InAMillion readathon. This was a entertaining story about a college guy who becomes part ghoul after a organ transplant. Loved the illustrations 😈

Looks like I‘m going to have to make a library run to pick up the next few volumes!! This is a great story. +11 (team theme/post) for #TeamStoker #scarathlon #24B4Monday
My first Manga that I read this month and it was really amazingly fantastic I can‘t wait to continue reading the rest of the volumes.
Had to change planners in July. I also filled up my Read page. So that means a new Read in 2019 spread. 😍
One of my students has the best obsession! If only I read like this at his age...
I Just Love the Anime!!! No Surprise Loving the Manga As Well😀
Tokyo Ghoul Attracts Me Because It's Not like any other Horror - action Animes/Manga.
It's Emotionally Resonant and has a serious psychological depth to it. Kaneki 's struggle to adapt and fight through all the obstacles as the only member having equal access to both the Human & Ghoul World is just breathtaking.
And Then There is 'Unravel', the OP of the Anime. Just Damn Good✌
Confession:
I enjoyed the Kindle sample of Tokyo Ghoul so much that I purchased the entire series (for Kindle) 😆 This will definitely keep me occupied during the downtime on my Japan trip 👍 🇯🇵 📚 ❤️

“We‘re gonna talk about our favorite books. It‘s my first ever outing with a girl. On top of that, it‘s the bookstore date of my dreams!! I‘m so happy I can die right now!”
Manga on Kindle - Ooo, pretty good 👍 This is dangerous. I cannot like it too much though because I still love the feel (and collection) of physical books 📚 ❤️😉

I loved it! Having watched the anime, I knew the storyline, but I love the supernatural aspect as well as the emotion in this story. The art is great, although sometimes a little unclear, but it‘s still eerie and adds to the overall mood of the series. Very easy to read and the flow is perfect. Starting Volume 2 immediately!!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I‘ve watched the anime but I am super stoked to finally be reading it! I got the first three volumes for Christmas and the next two are in the mail!! #currentlyreading #manga #booksforchristmas
#bookmail I was sad once I finished watching Tokyo Ghoul I had to buy the Manga. Plus, don‘t get me started on Penny Dreadful... #addict
"Ghouls live among us, the same as normal people in every way- except for their craving for human flesh." Heck of a book blurb! #manga #zombies #braaaains #librarylife #bookdropfinds
Just finished the first season of the anime, so bought vol 1-7 of the manga. Just finished volume one and loved it :)
This wasn't a bad story. I thought it was pretty enjoyable.
Reading my first manga. Borrowed from one of my students who said I had to read it.
Wohoo!!! Getting close to finishing my reading challenge!!
Feel free to add me on Goodreads if you want to 😁: https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/63279724-grace
So adorbs....#manga #amreading
You know how sometimes you go on a date with a cute young woman and she takes a bite out of your shoulder and when you try to run she skewers you with her "claws" and then after some steel beams fall on her you're rescued but her kidneys are transplanted into you and you learn you're now some kind of human-ghoul hybrid? No? Me neither. But wow is it fun to read about it. There's action, wacky humor, violence, a clueless eighteen year old etc.
My sister has this lying on her shelf. I've never read a manga before so thinking about it out. Anyone recommends it?
I haven't read comics or anything graphic since I was a teenager. This year, I decided to try manga and this was my first one. It was weird, but in a good way. 😉 #comicmangagraphicnovel #octphotochallenge #day9
Its been a year of #debutnovels for me. Here's my list and I enjoyed them all! #booktober #day5
I'm not really into manga, but once I picked this up, I couldn't put it down. I immediately read one after another, and am impatiently awaiting vol. 7.
