I enjoyed this audiobook, Lauren is very funny and it was interesting to learn more about his life with a pdf of pictures included!

I don‘t read many memoirs (and my reason for reading this one was mainly to fill a book chain challenge prompt) but I had a delightful time listening to Lauren look back on her acting career - it‘s really just a highlight reel of what went well and it‘s told in such an upbeat, breezy manner that it feels like a friend telling her favourite anecdotes over coffee.

I really like Lauren Graham, so this was a wonderful audiobook. She talks about life, family, friendships, love, her acting career, the show Parenthood, and of course Gilmore Girls. I'm looking forward to listening to more of her books!

As a Gilmore Girls aficionado, it‘s slightly shameful I haven‘t read this memoir yet. 😂🥲

Fun and quirky. Makes you wish she was your friend. I always liked her on Parenthood and other shows. Will satisfy Gillmore Girls fans.

Also starting this book by Lauren Graham.

Loved this book - even though I didn't listen to it on audio, I feel like I could hear Lauren in my head. It was funny and insightful.

Lauren lets us get a glimpse of what life is like throughout an acting career. She illustrates just how much both busting your ass and luck are involved. Or as she calls it Kismet.

She takes us through her early days mispronouncing song lyrics. Her midyears on Gilmore Girls and Parenthood, and the odd movie or show in between. And finally through returning to Gilmore once more. This memoir is short, sweet, and to the point.

A wonderful book to read if you are a fan of Gilmore Girls! I used to watch this show years ago when it was on TV, and binged every episode this year to make sure I didn't miss one. Then watched the 4 episodes of A Year In the Life.
I really enjoyed the peek inside the life of Lauren Graham. It enhanced the experience of being a fan of hers and of the show.
I still am hoping there will be another season of AYITL. The last 4 words = cliffhanger

As a huge Gilmore Girls fan I was super excited to listen to Lauren read her book. It didn‘t disappoint. And honestly before this book I wasn‘t a fan of AYITL, however now can watch it with a new set of eyes. Lauren is just awesome!

As a fan of Gilmore Girls and Lauren Graham, I am definitely intrigued by this book and can‘t wait to hear her in her unique voice.

Fun stories. Lauren Graham seems so similar to Lorelei Gilmore in real life. Wish we could be BFFs!

Shorter audiobooks are better for me right now, & this one is really good. I‘m finally watching Gilmore Girls & had watched the Year in the Life eps when they came out (I know I did it backwards). This has a lot about GG, some about her early years in acting, how she started writing, & a little about Parenthood. Entertaining.

This was a pure delight! As a huge Gilmore Girls fan, I loved it, and it was quintessential Graham. She talked fast, went of topic and was downright silly at times.

The beginning started off with a tone that felt a little like trying too hard for a laugh. Once she got into a rhythm though, the writing settled down & felt more genuine. The last third of the book was extremely nostalgic for me & I loved it. Gilmore Girls was such an impactful show for me that her reminiscing just brought back all the feels. Lauren writes like talking to a friend & I particularly enjoyed having the audio with her narration.

I have always loved Lauren and the quirky mother is Rory. Her book was witty and fun. I loved the insight she gave about her time on Gilmore Girls. Listening to the audio made it that much better

#Booked2020 Set in Hollywood

My boss declared a snow day yesterday so I took a nap and then finished this book. The snow is mostly gone today, so I'm sure I'll be working the evening shift.

I really enjoyed this book! It was fun and, as a Gilmore Girls fan, full of little tidbits that I found interesting. I did not like Graham's fiction book (Someday, Someday Maybe), but am glad I took a chance on this one when I saw it at the Dollar Tree.

As a massive (and I mean massive GG fan) I was so excited to read this book. I loved how many behind the scenes stories she told. Finding out stuff about GG that I didn't know yet made me want to rewatch the show and I did. Definitely a recommendation for any GG fan.

Thank you @LeeRHarry for my wonderful #jolabokaflodswap gift. I have been dying to read this for ages. I just watched all the Gilmore Girls Christmas episodes while I did my festive baking yesterday. I am sitting with a cuppa and about to dive in now.

Lauren Graham sure can #Talk fast... like, REALLY fast. It‘s not just an act when she plays Lorelai! Watching her interview is like watching Lorelai Gilmore herself brought to life. I love her character and her as a person ❤️☕️

1- I‘ve read 10 of the 24 I‘d like to read.

3- Most of the books (but not all) were borrowed from someone.
4- My read along of George RR Martin‘s A Song of Ice and Fire Series has not gone very well as I have only completed book one and am about to be 2 books behind 🙈 (but that‘s ok I‘m still planing to continue)

And another one bites the dust! Loved this one. Already planning to read it again when I can get my hands on the audiobook so I can become even more immersed. Definitely pick this one up if you‘re a fan of Gilmore Girls or of Lauren Graham.

I loved that this audiobook was read by the author, whom I loved watching on both Parenthood and Gilmore Girls 😊😊 She‘s funny and the book is a great listen! Would‘ve totally been a different experience had I read it. 😄

A quick #audiobook made more enjoyable with the author's narration.
I am counting this as "something with music" as Lauren Graham talks about and sings some of her Broadway bits and the theme song of the Gilmore Girls in the audiobook. ?
