Apparently, I can‘t get enough of Joe…
really different from season 3 of ‘you‘ but still great story
really different from season 3 of ‘you‘ but still great story
At first I was SO HAPPY to be back in Joe‘s mixed up brain 🧠 and I was really digging his witty self banter but by hour 3 I began to lose interest and by hour 5 I lost patience. BUT then the last 3 hours of audio picked up & although the book went completely 🦇💩cuckoo…Im not quite over Joe. Book 4 coming out April 2023 😛EXCELLENT narration 🙌🏻 so this was a mixed bag - needed to be edited but still a pick.
I guess I feel like spending Halloween with another #serialkiller 🫣Finally getting to book 3- Everyone 🧡 Joe Goldberg, the most misunderstood guy who just can‘t seem to get love right 😜🔪
I was super surprised to find this at a Kyobo in Seoul, so I had to get it. I love Joe and his murderous antics, what can I say? This was a fun read, but doesn‘t come close to the first “You.”
Third book in the YOU series. I thought the first two books were exciting, but this one felt really lackluster. Maybe after two books & three TV seasons it just doesn't feel as fresh anymore. Mary Kay isn't very interesting and the "oh shit" moment doesn't happen til the very end; and when it does the conclusion just falls flat and feels unfinished. It would have made an interesting conflict in the middle of the book rather than an ending.
My current read. 81% of the way through and I‘m loving it! 📚❣️
Current read!
😩😟😭I‘m giving this a pick even though it got swiped back before I could finish. Libby shows no mercy. Libby doesn‘t care if you‘re 32 chapters into the book when your time is up. Libby doesn‘t care if you‘re literally listening to it when the buzzer rings. GONE! I know this one‘s a pick though because being in Joe‘s head is funny and disturbing and thoroughly entertaining! So I put it on hold once again…
For me, this book is where the series went off the rails. Not sure I‘m interested in a fourth installment.
I can‘t deny it. I love this series! It makes me feel kinda dirty admitting it, but there you go. 🙈😅
Good ol‘ Joe is at it again. As charming as he is, you do not want Joe to fall in love with you. It could be the death of you. Third in the series. 4-stars
I started skim-reading this about a third of the way in. Near the end I got more interested, but then the actual ending was bad. I liked You, didn‘t really like Hidden Bodies, and found Joe just creepy and disturbing in this one. I mean, he‘s always been creepy and disturbing, but somehow likable in You. Here, he‘s just a sad sociopath who needs mental help. And the story is completely unbelievable. No more for me!
My favorite book from #April. I‘ve loved this series from the get-go. Joe Goldberg is sick and twisted but I dig him anyway even though I know I shouldn‘t!

LOVED this latest installment much more than I thought I would. I think it‘s great how the show and the books are diverging and am now excited to watch the third season. I hope they consider bringing in elements of this storyline eventually because it was super entertaining. Love Joe and this audiobook narrator!
I forgot to put this book in one of the free squares 🤨 Oh well—I wouldn‘t have a #bookspinbingo anyway!
Pretty good but not great reading month. $15.28 for #pennyperpage.
I liked this one a lot more than Hidden Bodies—it felt like a return to the Joe we hate to love and things not going weirdly, irrationally well for him. The only things that go well are because he‘s managed to convince people that he‘s such a great guy… and some things go very badly for him because of that. And so many characters that are so delicious to hate, just like in You!
I still feel like Love makes no sense though.
This was a good addition to the series. I definitely didn‘t love this one as much as I loved the first two, but I think it was because a lot of it was becoming a bit unbelievable for me. Overall, I was on the edge of my seat through most of it and there were definitely some twists that took me by surprise. It was so different than the show which I really liked because I was able to enjoy both for what they were!
This was great fun! Joe is such a great character and I just love hanging round him in his crazy world. What a cracking thriller. I can‘t wait for the fourth book and the next Netflix season. 👍
Today‘s audiobook! 🧡 I started reading this one a while back, but never finished the ebook copy so I‘m thrilled to finally have an audiobook copy! 💞

I liked the first two series on Netflix and decided to give this audio a try — I liked it! I didn‘t read any of the other books in the series though
This is kind of a low pick for me. I listened to it and the audio experience was just as enjoyable as with the other two. I think I liked the story more with this one than with Hidden Bodies but, as is typical, the first book was the best.
I love Joe‘s commentary about society/social norms and while there was some in this, not as much as You. By the end things spiraled into craziness but it was a fun read
That feeling when your audiobook comes in. I‘m excited to listen to this one. I wasn‘t a fan of Hidden Bodies but I‘d enjoyed You so much. Hopefully I‘ll like this next installment with Joe
Won this in an Instagram giveaway months ago and it finally arrived! So excited to read the newest book in this series!
I was so hyped for this book as I was obsessed with the first two in the series, but this didn't hit the same. I listened to the audiobook and I slowly listened over a couple months. Joe didn't seem to fit his characterization from the previous books, and the beginning of this book felt like a far jump from where the last ended. The ending was also abrupt. I still enjoyed aspects, but it didn't live up to my expectations.

All of the best characters from the first two books are either dead or show up for only a few pages in this one, and the new characters introduced just aren't as interesting. Joe has, in his own words, gotten soft. All his actions that made the first two books exciting turn into accidents or coincidences this time. I don't know if Kepnes wanted to make him more likable and less of a "bad guy," but instead it just made him kind of lame.
It‘s pretty clear that this book was written in response to the popularity of the Netflix series. The beginning reused elements of the first book, the middle was actually decent, and the end was just WEIRD. How no one on this island questioned a bunch of a dead bodies is beyond me. Skip it. #netgalley
One of my most anticipated reads for 2021 and it exceeded all of my expectations. I love being in Joe Goldberg's world and inside his mind. I know I shouldn't love him so much given what he does to anyone who thinks is in his way but I cannot help but love him a little. Another addictive page turner from Caroline Kepnes it had me mesmerised from the very first chapter. The only negative I have about it is that I am always left wanting more Joe!
Joe is back! I've missed him... I loved this book...lots of twists and some heartbreak
⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
Joe has found love, and he is going to do everything right this time. Mary Kay loves books, just like Joe, but the best part is she loves Joe back!
There‘s just one problem.
She is married and also has a teenage daughter.
But when has Joe let other people get in his way? He will be Mary Kay‘s shoulder to cry on, her rock. Til the end.
Not quite as good as You, but I still enjoyed the story. That ending still has my mind spinning!
Pomegranate blueberry açaí green tea & some reading to start my day ?
“When people show you who they are, it is your job to pay attention.”
“Stephen King doesn‘t have to murder people to describe death, & you don‘t have to have kids to understand being a parent....”
This librarian working in the Pacific Northwest enjoyed reading about Joe loving a librarian in the Pacific Northwest. It was a darkly comic romp that moved the series forward. And Joe got kittens!
The cats woke me up early on my one sleep in day :/ 40% into this one and no murder yet??!
Finished this up sort of #audiosouping making a quick cold cucumber soup with shrimp from Ina. Santino Fontana rocked the narration—he is why I must listen & not read these books. Dark, twisty & between Keynes‘ writing & Fontana‘s spot on narration, you can‘t help but root for sociopath Joe to get some happiness. A great addition to the series, this hit somewhere in the middle for me between You & Hidden Bodies. Good set up for the next book too.
Yes! Yes! Yes!!
I was stoked when this FINALLY came out. And I did the proper thing.. I reread the first two books and now that I finished You Love Me, I'm Jonesing for some more Joe Goldberg.
