Sooooo. Maybe this would be 3 ✨‘s if I read it instead of audiobooked it. As an audio book 2 ✨‘s. She reminds me of the kid in school who‘s every other word was fuck to show how cool they were. Sometimes it‘s just toolish not funny:(.

If you‘re not a hoarder, you‘re fine. That‘s essentially the message here. There‘s humor, but it can feel repetitive. Lots of profanity and sex jokes so if that‘s not your thing, skip it. If you like lots of snark and irreverent humor, this is for you.

But if you do feel overwhelmed by stuff and clutter, aren‘t sure where to start, and need some inspiration, check out Peter Walsh, Margareta Magnusson, or Marie Kondo to get you going.

I love the concept behind this book, that it's okay to have things and stuff all over and not have an immaculate house and her thoughts on the Magic of Tidying Up echo mine (seriously, it's weird to talk to socks), but her humor was a bit grating. I appreciate cursing and I'm not prude but her constant sex references became annoying and took away from her point of giving people permission to lighten up and not take minimalist culture so seriously

As a failed KonMari aspirant, this book is 💯 on brand! #trueconfessions #socksunday

I mostly picked this up because people kept asking me if I'd read that Marie Kondo book. I'm not reading that book. That level of tidiness sounds insane. This books is mostly a silly response. It's funny, but the joke runs thin quickly. It's a quick read if you looking for a response to all those Marie Kondo recommendations. If you're looking for an informative book on clutter, I recommend "A Perfect Mess" by Eric Abrahamson & David H. Freedman

My favorite book title of the year! 😂

Found this in Dolly's, Park City's independent bookstore, chocolate, and ice cream shop (aka Nirvana). I didn't buy it, but got a good laugh from the clever parody.

Pursuant to my review a few posts down, I clearly spent my $27 on the wrong book. It is the one on the right that was written with me in mind. Running out to get my copy tomorrow.

This is absolutely amazing. I feel so validated. I'm definitely buying this book for my collection.
