Bedazzling a DIY special edition for a gift, it‘s hard to capture the sparkliness, & I still have a lot of letters todo but it‘s looking pretty neat so far

I have been so busy but this weekend I‘m getting into this one!
I‘ve been off social media the last few days but have been reading. Today my boyfriend and I went out and surprised me by stopping by the bookstore and said pick out some books 😍
My Christmas book haul from my hubby.
For me this is a:
10/10 book (the cover art, and whole book, is absolutely beautiful)
10/10 murder mystery
10/10 romance
I love when I can figure out a mystery before the end, but I love it even more when I can't. I was not expecting the twist at the end of this book and I love that this book kept me guessing the entire time.
This book did not disappoint. The writing was beautiful. I loved the mysterious setting, the snarky character Signa and the lovely banter. Sometimes the pace was a bit slow. The showdown was top of the notch.
I‘m sharing this book I received in the mail yesterday. I preordered the Exclusive Edition of this book from Barnes & Noble. This is the first book I‘ve ever owned with sprayed edges. It‘s so pretty. I like the book cover and the story sounds really good. This makes me want to buy more books with sprayed edges. I preordered the second book too but I don‘t think the second book will have sprayed edges which sucks because it‘s not going to match.
A soft pick. I enjoyed the first half of this book then it kind of lost its way and became boring in the second half where it felt like the author didn‘t know where to go with the story.
3 ⭐️
The pacing was slow, but I liked the mystery and paranormal aspects.
Next in my YA Fantasy line-up!
I have around 500 unread kindle books to get through but I just can‘t resist buying more when they‘re on offer 🤷🏼♀️ 😂
How many unread kindle books do you have?
This was very good!
Death has always surrounded Signa Farrow. Both death & Death actually. She is taken in by extended family & has to solve a murder in order to save her cousin, all while trying to abide by her etiquette handbook & preparing to make her debut …or trying to find her way in life outside of the rigid societal guidelines.
Very spooky & atmospheric
+a library ghost 👻
I will definitely be looking for the sequel out in August.
I loved this Gothic Romance. Signa can see spirits and can talk to Death. When she moves in with her remaining relatives, she must solve the mystery of who killed her aunt before they kill the rest of her family.
Belladonna was a little darker than I was expecting, but I did choose it for that reason. Most of the books I have been reading lately are lighthearted, I needed a change. I got what I wanted, and I was pleasantly surprised. The book is a bit on the slower side at the beginning, but the whole concept really drew me in. I really can't wait for the next book to come out.
Love, Love, Love...
I actually thought I might abandon this book early...Glad I did not do that...
“It‘s said that five belladonna berries are all intakes to kill someone.”

Orphaned at an early age, Signa Farrow has gone from guardian to guardian as each one died an untimely death & Signa herself seems to be unable to escape Death‘s attention. She eventually lands at Thorn Grove where she vows she won‘t let Death take any more of her relatives—but something is wrong & when a ghost appears claiming she was murdered, Signa may have to align with Death to figure out what happened. Sequel coming to this fun YA read.
It‘s 18 degrees (Fahrenheit) outside so what better way to start the morning with a book about a “gothic-infused world of wealth, desire, and betrayal” before venturing outside…no better way! Ive seen this one on at least one end of year “best of” list so I‘m hoping for an entertaining read.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
“Belladonna” was a dark yet interesting read. I enjoyed the plot and the romance, and the murder mystery made it even better. I surprisingly did not see the plot twist/culprit coming, and the epilogue sets up for the next book in the series. I‘m not sure if I will end up reading the second book, but this one was a solid fall read.
I'm super excited to start reading this book! An orphan who has been followed by death her whole life, a murder, a house full of ghosts, plus a romance? It sounds like a fantastic gothic fantasy and I'm 100% here for that.
It was quite hard to relate to them when you knew so little about them.
This was an atmospheric book and that I loved. I loved the beginning and was intrigued but soon found out how the rest of the book didn't really deliver what I had expected. Soon this started to feel boring & un-mysterious because nothing really happened.
This was okay but not at all that awesome that I thought this would be.

The whole book is a vibe, from the gorgeous cover to the spooky gothic mystery. The premise was absolutely intriguing and the story did not disappoint. I could easily put myself into any of the characters places and, as a cozy mystery reader, the mystery was solid.
Sooo....I kinda met Adalyn Grace randomly at a coffee shop before YALLfest starts.
Was grabbing an iced mocha at a coffee shop that's hosting Victoria Aveyards signing. I saw a lady walk in and I saw a YALLfest badge around her neck and went to ask her about where the line starts. Turns out it wasn't a volunteer badge but an author badge, having never seen Adalyn Grace I didn't know what she looked like... Had a nice 20 minute conversation.

October Reading Progress is minimal 😅
I keep book hopping, so I'm not very far in to any of the books yet. However, I'm really liking Belladonna.
I'll most likely slide right into #NeilGaimanNovember with Trigger Warning and Good Omens
Just a quick stack of my recent book mail; I can sense my future reading will be very spooky indeed 👻🎃
”All those I touch,” Death whispered, “die.” His other hand pressed against her cheek suddenly, and he breathed out a wondrous sigh so heavy that Signa‘s entire body warmed. “Except for you, Signa Farrow. When I touch you, I feel you. On you, my influence is temporary.”

It's been a while since I've enjoyed a YA book as much as this one. I loved the romance and gothic vibes, mixed with paranormal elements.
Review from #AugustARCs about a month late 🙄🙄🙄
The audiobook of this YA gothic/paranormal fantasy novel was good, but the story was a bit long-winded for my taste. There was too much woe-be-me by the main character Signa. The mysteries were, given I had paid attention from the start, obvious to me.
If you liked Kingdom of the Wicked, you will certainly like this book. After all, it's a story of romance between a not-so-mere mortal and Death.
Here‘s the 🫖
I absolutely love this book! I read an early copy last fall & currently in the middle of a reread for my book club on Instagram since we‘re discussing it Friday. I love when books do these fun designs on the case and I honestly believe this book is just as beautiful on the inside as out - so I approve any judging a book based on cover in this event 😂
I‘d like to take this opportunity to introduce my next read. Isn‘t she absolutely gorgeous?! I will not lie, I haven‘t a clue what this book is about. I saw the inside cover on Booktok and immediately went to Barnes and Noble for this exclusive edition. I have zero regrets on the matter. It‘s just too damned pretty to have any buyers remorse.
This book is so pretty and the story within is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I loved this read, romance, suspense, paranormal elements and a FMC who was strong and one you‘ll want to take the journey with. Can‘t wait for the next book!
Hi 👋. It's been so long since I have been on here that I would be surprised if people knew who I was still. I had a very painful book slump that lasted 6 months. I am finally out of it (thank god) so I'm going to try to be better at posting now. I have also changed what genres I want to read right now. Horror & gothic are the main ones now. Just wanted to share my newest book. It's gorgeous 😍.
I pre-ordered the British edition of this book because I couldn't pass up the pretty purple cover. I was so happy to see the actual book itself is a gorgeous deep purple with the title foiled in purple on the spine. 💜💜
I've been waiting for a book that completely swept me away for a while & it's finally here. I absolutely loved the supernatural mystery side of things. Signa (I kept misreading her name as Sigma) is one of those main characters that starts off a bit annoying but then grows on you. (Continues in comments)
4.5🌟
