So exited to jump into this book right after finishing House of Sky and Breath! I‘m loving the story so far….I just hope it continues to please.

Aaah, well, the beginning was interesting and eventually it became hard to get through. Things were happening but there was too much crazy, too unrealistic, it felt like a dream where you could change the rules of magic with a thought to fit your narrative. Bryce‘s personality felt different than other books. All in all, the end was somewhat better and I ended up giving it a 4 ⭐️, but definitely the worse from all SJM books I have read.
This book is a JOURNEY, and it only takes place over a span of days. So very much happens, and it‘s as magically themed, powerful, and romantic as you‘d expect from SJM. Bryce and Hunt make an engaging lead couple, and their adventures are always fun to experience. I did think SJM wrapped things up quite neatly, while still leaving herself space to write more in this universe. Docking a point bc Ithan is so very obnoxious😅
This was so fun. Sets up Nesta for future books. Will there be another one in this series?
“A world where people loved and valued books and learning so much that they were willing to die for them. Can you imagine what such a civilization was like?”

Finally finished this one! I started it in February!

I love it so much. Got so emotional towards the end. But, i really hate some of the characters. Very selfish. Hoping there will be happy ending for some of the characters.
5⭐️ holy shit! That was a roller coaster of emotions. Finally finish this beast, and it had me in all the feels at all times. I know not everybody is a Sarah J Maas fan, but I freaking love these books. 100% recommend😁 this was also my #BookSpin for #BookSpinBingo
Well. This book doesn‘t need my help so I guess I can be honest. Sarah j Maas is a master, no doubt, her characters are so compelling and I‘ll always keep reading. This one I loved when the “2 worlds” intersected (no spoilers but you‘ll know what I mean if you‘ve read anything of hers), I took a break of about 2 weeks 50% of the way thru. I kind of skimmed the last half to get it done. But of course, I‘ll read all the next books😂I miss TOG🤷🏼♀️
My 1st bk of March is the latest in the Crescent City series. I enjoyed it, but I thought the connection to ACOTAR could‘ve been used more effectively. I like how it concluded I suppose but it wasn‘t the big finish I was hoping for. Bit of a bummer, but still a good read. #SeriesLove2024 #BookspinBingo #FourFoursIn24 #Readaway2024
I love SJM books so much and this one did not disappoint and I‘m honestly counting down until we get a new one. The Nesta/ACOTAR crossover was done so well. Light it up! All the stars to this one.

Updated Board!
Fractal Noise on the N: Unfortunately not my favorite of Paolini. I love All his books, always fantastic...except this one. The story for me was kind of flat, which is a shame because TSIASOS is Perfection.
House of Flame and Shadow on the H: My review of this gorgeous piece of fantasy is on my previous post, complete perfection and in the top running for my book of the year.
What a fun adventure! I went slow when diving into this book because I knew it was going to be epic and full of twists, adventure, and love! I feel like SJM really threaded the ending of this series perfectly. If she writes another I will be one of the first in line to read…but I‘m really happy with how this story unfolded! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ LIGHT IT UP
Ho-Ly…WOW!!
I don‘t even know where to start with this book. The sheer awesomeness has no bounds, not enough stars on any review page to give a proper rating.
Where the Maasverse goes from here… I may need to start eating healthier and try exercising.
What a great book! This book was unlike any of her others 🤯 I'm debating redoing the throne of glass series again or moving on to something new 🥲 Gosh, SJM truly has my heart ❤️
Also, I highly suggest book sleepovers with your bestie 🥰
The most action packed of the trilogy, in fact it never really lags. Though not perfect-there are definitely plot holes and copious amounts of plot armor-it is still an enjoyable fantasy world with solid characters. 4⭐️
I haven‘t read a physical book since last year because I‘ve been hooked on reading Apple Books. However, I did buy a copy of this book. HOFAS was really good! I especially love the ending. Not to mention the fact that I really enjoyed the story arc for character and that is my favorite. I was worried that they were going to get killed off. Thank goodness I was wrong! #hofas #sarahjmaas #houseofflameandshadow
FINALLY got it!
Gonna probably get a bit of flak for this one…😅 This was my most highly anticipated book this year and I think I was expecting too much from this read. Did it have twists and turns? Yes. Did it stir up emotions and have me on the edge of my seat? Yes. Was it about as predictable as a book could be in the end? Also yes. Unfortunately finishing it felt more like a relief than a triumph. Still would read the series but just fell flat at the end.
I have 176 pages left. I‘m on chapter 71. Despite the fact of having a physical copy of the book, I‘ve been reading the digital copy via iBooks.
Welp. I tried to read this slowly, but for those last few hundred pages I just could not put it down! Once again, Sarah has given us a book that turned me into a whirlwind of emotions! 💕📚 I know she's probably planning another book featuring some of the other characters and their story arcs wrapping up, but I am also really really happy with the way this book ended! ❤️
I did love this one, but not as much as the first two. As a whole, it was still so good. I was hoping for a little more from certain parts, I won't say as the book hasn't been out for too long and I don't want to spoil.
I loved Lidia's back story. It's so sad.
Ithan, Tharion, Ariadne, and Sigrid's stories seemed a little out of place, and I didn't really enjoy them. I am hoping their stories will continue in the 4th book for the 4th house.
Wow. Just wow. What a rollercoaster ride this third book was. Our girl Bryce trying to save her world and her mate from the asteri any way she can. I loved each character‘s journey and storyline. Can‘t wait to see what Sarah Maas thinks up next. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
When you are waiting for your favorite character to appear and she does when you least expect it. 😊
Starting Chapter 90. 😬 😬 😬 😬 😬 😬 😬
Up to page 263. #houseofflameandshadow #sarahjmaas
More was accomplished in this book than I thought possible. I was worried after the growing pains of book 2, but it was phenomenal. The beginning was a bit rough with how quickly the POVs cycled but it moved away from that, & moved away from some of the more overused Maasaverse tropes, it was really fun & a unique journey even after 835 pages I can‘t wait to see what‘s next.
216 pages in. A lot has happened. #houseofflameandshadow #hofas #sarahjmaas
These stickers are evil and should be a crime on such a beautiful cover! I finished last night and have many thoughts about this book 🤔🤔 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Went to the midnight release party for HOFAS- was soo worth it! I went alone but I‘m glad for the experience and the fun, since I‘ve never been to a midnight release even after living through HP and Twilight📖🫶🏼
Happy release day everyone! The wait is over! Here we goooooooo! ❤️🔥
I‘m 64 pages in. The wait is over. #houseofflameandshadow #sarahjmaas
Such a beautiful sight! 🥹💕📚
I had the extreme pleasure of going to the midnight release party for House of Flame and Shadow tonight at my Barnes and Noble! 💕📚💕📚 There were people in costumes, trivia and prizes, and of course I walked around and ended up leaving with more than just the one book I was there for! 🤭 I haven't done a midnight book release in years! It was absolutely so much fun!
