I just found out that the next book doesn't come out until Sept 2025 and I am unwell. 😭

Finished book one, am currently devouring book two...when the music schedule permits.
Back in Rennedawn, serving as apprentice to The Villain and attempting to fulfill or thwart an age old prophecy (and maybe smooch the Villain).

⭐️⭐️⭐️½ stars. Not as fun as the first with too many POVs and side stories. But I‘m still enjoying the series overall.
A great second book in the series! I can‘t wait for the next book. I‘ve been home sick this whole week with pneumonia so I‘ve gotten some quality reading in.
3.5 ⭐ The first book was better, but this sequel was still worth the wait. I'm pretty sure Evie is my spirit animal. LoL She talks without thinking first, she's klutzy, she's amazing! Loads of laugh out loud moments with this book and a decent story to boot. #audiobook
"I do not lack equilibrium," she argued, " the ground merely lacks the courtesy of letting me know when it's coming closer." -Evie
You and me, girl! You and me! ???
The Villain: "Does your mind live in the gutter?"
Evie: "No, but it rents there on occasion." ???
Oh, Evie, I can so relate! ?
#serieslove2024 Although not as good as the first, I still enjoyed this one. I loved the “will they” or “won‘t they” love story that continues in book 2 and revisiting the characters. It was the plot that didn‘t unfold as naturally as the first I think. Clearly, with this cliffhanger there will be a third so excited for that one. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Loved the first book so much that I couldn‘t wait for the my library hold to come in and ended up buying the sequel. I should know better by now because this just didn‘t have the sparkle of the first book for me. Too much quest, too little everything else. I am hoping book three is better.
I liked this one well enough, but I absolutely loved the first one. With that said, hoping the next book isn‘t too far off. Want to see what happens next.
I don't know why I picked up this second book even though I didn't care for the first one. I think there is something wrong with me and that I'm the only one who doesn't love this series. This one may have been a bit better than the first one, but it still had incredibly cheesy moments that had me rolling my eyes. I still don't care for most of the characters, but now I feel like I have to find out what happens with them.
Just as full of adventure and snappy banter as the first book in this series, Apprentice is a wonderful continuation of this cozy fantasy series. I loved revisiting the characters we met in the first book while getting to know some of the newer ones. I particularly love the "found family" aspect, as it is one of my all-time favorite tropes, and this is a family like no other. The romance still sizzles between Evie and the Villain of course.
I need to stop reading and finish my semester prep. Loki says, "Not yet." #CatsOfLitsy #BratPrincessOfAsgard #KittyLove
I‘m attending an author event today through Looker Books in Coatesville, PA! The first book was super fun and fantasy-y and I‘m excited to read the sequel, which is now signed!
We just moved to PA yesterday, but I had registered for this event before the move was scheduled. Unpacking is going well, the cats are settling into the apartment, and now I‘m one step closer to opening my bookstore in Media!
Yay for shared bookishness!
Oh no… love the interaction between Evie and “the Villain” and all the little complex situations they get themselves into. The ending still left questions so one more book please to answer them hopefully soon …. Please one more book I really can‘t wait for one more book 👀📚 anyone know if there‘s one more book 🤗📖
I love the dynamic between the villain and his assistant. The cast of supporting characters are fun, too. It‘s silly, but highly entertaining.
I‘m looking forward to the next book, which will hopefully tie up some of the loose ends from this one.
So I know I bought the tagged book prior to this haul but I had to show the accessories I bought this time in connection to the books … love it plus I bought more books 🤪📚
Banter for days! The first book sucked me in completely as Evie Sage becomes the assistant to an ”evil” villain. This book picks up right where the other left off as Evie is finding her own strength, and the villain is struggling with his new feeling. The supporting characters are just the chefs kiss on top. The characters show growth, which is essential in a second book. It‘s not wrapped up neatly at the end & I‘ll look forward to reading more.
Anyone else love it when your pet loves to snuggle your books?
Although he is about to get super grumpy at me, because I am about to take his pillow away to start reading. 🤣
Just picked this up from Target can‘t wait to read it I‘m going to get to it after I finish the willful child series
