My 8th independent bookstore visit for the #HTXBookCrawl24 was the pictured Baskets, Books & Art. It had a nice selection of poetry and international reads and features an art gallery on the 2nd floor.

My 7th independent bookstore visit for the #HTXBookCrawl24 was CLASS books. Another fun stop where I enjoyed a lovely conversation. This whole experience so far is really helping me explore so many different communities of Houston.
The 6th independent bookstore I visited on the #HTXBookCrawl24 was Gulf Coast Cosmos Comics. It is the only comic store participating in the bookstore crawl and is literally just next door to Kindred Stories. The owner was so friendly. Plus, the store has different rooms to explore that includes the featured entertainment room.
My 5th independent bookstore visit of #HTXBookCrawl24 was to Kindred Stories. This store was beautiful and had a stunning backyard area as well.
Took some time during the readathon (continued to audiobook even while out and about) to visit more independent bookstores in the Houston Bookstore crawl. LIT Java was my 4th stop on the crawl this month and isn't officially opening until the end of the month but wanted to open the doors for the crawl.

My 3rd indie bookstore visit of the #HTXBookCrawl24 was a cute place called Buy The Book in the Woodlands. I'm really enjoying checking out the bookstores, but I may be broke by the end of the month.
Small #bookhaul from a visit to my favorite used bookstore yesterday. Each was only $1. Now to find room on my bookshelves...
Awful.
On a trip to see the family and stopped at my sister in law‘s for the weekend. One good thing- the have a Half Price books here!
Borrowed this from IG.
OK, my Litten friends…
Anyone want to share their Top 5 (in order)?

Although this was partly #setinaplaceyoulove , the bookstore, this read like pretentious chick lit. I struggled to finish and disliked nearly every character. The only part I did enjoy were the descriptions of NYC, another type of setting I love to read. Thanks to June #bookspin I finally got this off my tbr
6-9-22: My 56th finished book of 2022! Esme Garland is from England and living in NYC. She is getting her PhD in art history at Columbia University. In her spare time she works at a secondhand bookstore called The Owl. She befriends the kooky owner and staff and makes lasting friendships. Her life takes some turns but in the end she alway has The Owl. I love stories about bookstores. That would be the perfect job for me. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️📖#️⃣5️⃣6️⃣
1. Two local bookstores have opened near me recently and I'm really excited to visit both bit haven't had a chance yet!
2. I'll go in with maybe one or two titles in mind and then usually go a bit wild. Other times I'll just browse and see what book strikes me.

Balthazar said I should read my #doublespin book next. It was one of those light, predictable, books that I won‘t read again, but was a nice palate cleanser. I was predictably annoyed with the MC and her bad decisions, but the quirky bookstore characters were fun. @TheAromaofBooks
My #doublespin book couldn‘t be more different from my #bookspin! Five chapters in, and while it‘s predictable fluff, it makes me miss browsing in secondhand book stores. I‘ve ordered books online since COVID, but nothing beats the serendipities and pleasures of browsing physically. @TheAromaofBooks
Soft lockdown in Tokyo. Kinokuniya book store is closed but will take orders via email and telephone. Stay safe everyone❣️
This could be interesting.

My husband and I are taking a quick trip to Nashville this weekend, and I‘ve already requested a stop at McKay‘s, a wonderful used bookstore there. Since I‘ll probably have limited time there, I need to have a plan of attack. 🤣 Where do YOU head first in your favorite used bookstore? 📚📚📚
#bookloverproblems 😊
Took a moment to capture revisiting #TheStrand‘s mighty impressive Rare Book Room 😁! How‘s it feel to be surrounded by books that cost upwards of $2,000-$10,000? Priceless! 😊 #NYC
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book- and am a bit sad I had to miss bookclub where they Skyped with the author. I really hope she onefay revisits this story - I‘d love to see it through!
Has anyone ever seen someone in a bookstore in costume? That‘d be cool!
Here are my Top 5 Favorite Bookstores, requested by @4thhouseontheleft

The B&N in Wilmington DE moved one mile south (why? The former location was right by a mall). This is what the new one looks like. Son and I think it looks too much like a warehouse. But maybe they‘re not finished with the final look? It‘s definitely much smaller too. It‘s too bad to see it like this, even though we prefer indies. Any of you seeing changes with your local B&N? (bookstore tag wasn‘t in @Litsy database)
So this is my final stack for these two days. 🤣 I think, I did a great job and Mainz will be happy, that I spent so much money here. 😍🤣😂👍
Starting our trip to Mainz and already visited the first bookstore. 💓💓💓💓
Hitting the first bookshop for today 😍🤩
This might be the safest bookstore I‘ve even been it. It‘s Finland‘s largest and I don‘t speak or read Finnish. Frustrating ! #bookishproblems
Look at this cute bookshop I saw in San Giminagno... Unfortunately it was closed 😪 #sarahsflorencetrip

Have spent basically my whole life being a bookworm in Saskatchewan and just found out about this bookstore yesterday. On the other hand, this place sounds like a nightmare to me. Precarious disordered stacks make me anxious. I like my books orderly and less of a serious fire hazard.
Happy Independent Bookstore Day to my local indie bookstore! Little fact BookBub put out a list of 51 indie bookstores to visit , one for each state and Curious Iguana is the Maryland bookstore to visit! It was so great to see so many book lovers out supporting the day! I also won a gift card! Score for me!
Now, I *have* to visit a bookstore when I‘m in #NYC. I can‘t always, but if I get the chance, I have to take it.
My first visit to this store! Excited!
#MrBooksAdventures
Here‘s the three books I took home with me from Chapters today. For 3/$10, who could pass that up!
On the way home from the wineries and dinner, one of our friends said there was a bookstore, like, less than 5 miles from our route! 😳😱😱😱 This B&N is in an immense plaza area, which we‘ve been to before, and didn‘t realize this is there 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🙈🙈🙈. Soooo, an hour later, we finally left. 😆☺️
Books for sale 💕💕💕
I never go to a bookstore just “to look” 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
I do browse at the library 📚📚📚
We couldn‘t resist a Friday night visit to the bookstore!
My #BookHaul from Barnes and Noble's 50% off sale. I also got my Henry a Pete the Kitty book, but he grabbed it the minute I walked, so it's not in the photo. 😁
I've already started The Disasters, which is great so far.
It's time, litsy peeps. Heading in to the #bookhaul sale at Barnes & Noble! 📚💕📚
So I got this mysterious email from Barnes & Noble! Does anyone know what it entails? Another 50% off sale? The website doesn't really say, it just has a counter which looks like whatever is happening is going down on tuesday?
Visited this gem today where I happened upon The. Best. Bathroom. EVER!!
Don't know how it happened, but I accidentally went to a bookstore today... This was totally a coverbuy 😍😍😍 #sorrynotsorry
