#unpopularopinionsbooktag

1. The Chronicles of Narnia
2. Diary of an Oxygen Thief
3. None actually????
4. Fantasy, sorry :(
5. Don't really know if she's beloved or not but I quite dislike Daisy from The Great Gatsby
6. George R. R. Martin
7. YA novels with the repetitive outline of a weird kid in love with another weird but popular kid, and the whole no climax thing during a book
8. The Hobbit
9. Pretty Little Liars (more than the book)

I've had this book sitting on my shelf for about three months now and I finally got to reading it! It makes me think how much we degraded our speaking abilities! Such a beautiful language used and such a beautiful story. You all have probably already read it several times but I felt like I need to post about it anyways. #classicsjourney #prideandprejudice #janeausten

1. Definitely Beer
2. Based on their last pages #oops
3. At a beach, I'm too intrigued to explore forests, I won't have time to read.
4. Only read realistic novels!
5. MR. ROCHESTER ALL THE FKING WAY!

Kalalalatja You read the last page? 😱 7y
ballina @Kalalalatja if it's a full page I just read the last paragraph hahahah, 97% of the time it doesn't give out any important information, I just like seeing how the author concludes the story 7y
Kalalalatja That's true, most of the big twists come before the last page. It just feels so wrong to me 😄 7y
minkyb @ballina My daughter does the same thing with the last page! 7y

I just can't believe my dearest has turned 20! I will never be able to thank J.K. Rowling for creating this whole new universe I have had the fate to experience. I grew up re-reading these stories, and re-reading these stories made me grow up even more. Forever grateful.

GRThomas2014 Ikr? I remember picking the first book up off a shelf in a bookstore before it was ever really heard of. What a find it was! 20 years of bringing readers back to the love of words and imagination 😍 7y

HOLY FKING SHIT!!!!!! This book oh my god! I was wondering why isn't there a climax to the book? What is going on! But the ending oH MY GOOOOOD! This book is so good 10/10 everyone has to read it. It'll kill you.

Laalaleighh I'm buying it today. 8y
mcctrish I had a few issues with this book ( all solved by better editing) and friends who bailed for different reasons. But I still encounter things IRL that I say to my husband ( who read too) OMG its The Circle ( and often) 8y

This book had sooooo much potential, and I loved it until, WAIT FOR IT. In the middle of the book, it switches genres and becomes a fantasy novel! I really liked how it started with a great mystery but then the mystery turns around and it just becomes so stupid. I'm sooooo disappointed. :(

This book started out great! It had three of my favorite things intertwined: politics, physics and astronomy. I was absolutely in love with it, until I reached the middle of the book and then it became kind of "meh". It lost its spark and it wasn't interesting anymore. Still a great book though! #november #great #danbrown

ballina @Crafts4others it's great, I like it :) 8y
ballina @Crafts4others I put this book down because I was so preoccupied with other stuff in my life but I just continued it and I have to sat I'm quite disappointed. I thought that this would be a cool mystery novel but in the middle of the book it just has a huge plot twist that results in it becoming more of a fantasy novel and that's not what I expected. If you like fantasy it's nice I guess but I don't 8y

Inferno: A Novel | Dan Brown
post image

One of my favorite books ever, ending with a mind blasting plot twist. The author did a wonderful job on intertwining Dante's Inferno with the book. A great adventure/mystery book, an even greater series. If you're a fan of mystery with a hint of history then this is your book.
P.S. Don't watch the movie. Just don't. It's real bad. Don't. #danbrown #inferno #mystery #october #amazing #adventure #favorite

mariejoechahine How would you compare it wirh The Da Vinci Code? It's the only Dan Brown book that i read and i found it a bit overrated 😅 8y
ballina @mariejoechahine Well, in my opinion The Da Vinci Code is more of a conspiracy, while the other books are purely fictional. There's no big revelation or connection to a blood line like in The Da Vinci Code. So if you like a good adventure, read it. The other books are way different and more interesting to me :) 8y
mariejoechahine Thanks! I'll consider reading it 8y

This book started out GREAT. I loved it, I couldn't WAIT to get to the end and find out who the murderer was. The revelation of the murderer in my opinion was a total disaster and it could've been so much better.
The actual story: 10/10, the ending 1/10.
Didn't buy the sequels because I was so mad at the ending. If you're a mystery/crime fanatic like me, buy it so you'll have it in your collection! #october #crime #mystery #dark #murder

I've been avoiding this book but I finally came to my senses and started reading it... #annakarenina #leotolstoy #october #fall #read

vuhlrybyhn How was it so far? I've only read Tolstoy's short stories before and it was good. :) 8y
ballina @vuhlrybyhn Well it takes awhile to actually get into the story, I'm at page 150-ish and the story still hasn't started quite yet, Anna Karenina's character was introduced about twenty pages earlier. Overall it's not bad but it's not the best either :) 8y
vuhlrybyhn @BALLINA I see.. The roller coaster ride might start in the middle? It' a thick book after all, right? Actually, it's thickness intimidates me. Haha. Anyhoo, good luck! :) 8y

MrBook Welcome to @Litsy ! I think you'll like it here 😎👍🏻. 8y
ballina @MrBook thank you, I'm already loving it :) 8y
BooksTeasAndBookishThings This story has so many different facets. I know it takes a while to get to the titular character, but he is also telling a story of Russia and westernization and double standards and family... It really is great. You have to see the farming as another character because in a lot of ways it is. This is my 3rd favourite Classic, and I know it is not for everyone, but it is such a beautiful book. ❤️ 8y
ballina @BooksTeasAndBookishThings if I'm honest I actually love the rest of the story, Anna's love story is great but I love how the author gives so many details to other characters, I feel so close to them! 8y
BooksTeasAndBookishThings I completely understand that, I think Tolstoy might have wanted to give such detail to the others because they make Anna even more human. Anna is full of so much passion and compassion and even Karenin loves in his own way. The best quote from that book is the one mentioning many minds for many heads and many loves for many hearts. It rings true. These characters all won me over 😍 8y
