Start out w/a cliff hanging mystery, what happened to Glen? Forward to an interesting new family dynamic Nina (Glen‘s wife) moves to a new house w/ her kids, & Simon. Simon is not only Nina‘ s new beau, also a history teacher in Maggie‘s school, awkward much?A bit of a slow burn, makes the build up well worth the investment. The story gets going things get crazy good, you'll devour the pages. Fans of domestic fiction & thrillers will equally enjoy

SilversReviews Great review....this is a slow burn with an ending that had me “yelling” at the characters. 😊 5y

A wonderful emotional story about an unbreakable bond & life journey between a boy & his dog.
No family story is complete without its share of troubles and/or drama. The narration of a teenager Toby & his dog Buddy. The story flows back & forth between the past & present.
It‘s a touching story that I found to be a great quick read definitely worth reading.
I recieved a copy of this book via Net Galley in exchange for an honest review.

Happy Pub Day🎉. While this is not my favorite book by the authors it's definitely great read nonetheless. It wasn't a non stop page turner for me but once the pace of the story picked up it was hard to put down until all the pieces of this twisted tale made sense.

each chapter is in essay form, a great read I ended up reading the whole book over a weekend.
This book has various chapters on topics varying from the #MeToo movement to Adam Sandler movies. Lindy West manages to take on serious topics while adding humor in them. She Has a voice that I that I find relatable & universal.

Horror genre but it‘s not horrifying rather dark & twisted with a balance of humor & wit. I had quite a book hangover after reading this one, btwn supernatural elements, Christmasland, and terminology of inscapes, strong creatives, & a knife all are quite fascinating. Hill writes seriously creepy kids, a great villain, some bad ass female characters. I was hooked all the way till the last sentence.

TrishB A great read 👍🏻 5y

The Poison Garden was my final read in 2019. It was a perfect length at 194 pages

Fans of the unreliable narrator will really enjoy this one. It's a real page turner full of twist that keeps the suspense building throughout the story. I found myself trusting none of the characters almost everyone is a suspect.

The ending leaves the reader satisfied all the loose ends tied up nicely in under 200 pages.
