Great fictional read about space travel and Earth in the near future. A spaceship sets off for the Alpha Centauri galaxy on a 10-year mission, but doesn't return for 40 years. What happens to the crew when they make such a surprising return?

A little slow at times, but a great read and good characterization. I recommend this book and look forward to reading Two Roads to Paradise, the second book in the series.

Wrote something after a long time. Really wanted to share here :)

And that‘s a NOPE for me. Dekker was one of my favorites growing up, but this did not deliver. Bad world set up, clearly self-published (needs editing) and just blah. Couldn‘t get more than 25 pages in.

I haven‘t been able to share what I‘m reading because I‘m judging in the Romance Writers of America RITA awards and I have to keep mum about which books I judge. The 2018 RITA finalists will be announced in March, but if you are looking for #romantsy recommendations, you‘ll find a list of last year‘s finalists and winners at RWA.org

I read this book after running across references to it in two books, one of fiction and one on yoga. There were some parallels with yogic meditation with Iśvara being Jesus Christ. It was nice to read about the contemplative side of Christianity.

This my Christmas tree we have to put a grate in front of ours because my daughter figure out how to take the ornaments off.
