I really got sucked into this book. I got it at the $1 Tree and it still had the target 20% off sticker on it so I was excited at the thrill of finding it for such a steal to begin with. The book was interesting case study on what happens to a child when they are raised by a psychopath. I can't say I'm shocked by the ending, however, I hate loose ends and wish I could've found out what Mike decided to do after it all. Still.. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Engrossed in this thriller and so far it's really hot my attention! The plot is very intriguing and I'm hoping it lives up to my expectations 😂

Milly‘s mother is a serial killer. While waiting for the trial to testify against her, Milly lives with a foster family. She adapts to a new high school and a foster sister who is a bully. I wasn‘t too sure where this book was going. While Milly is battling within herself whether she is a good or bad person, I felt like I was on a journey without a destination. As events started to unravel, the story got creepy weird and intense. #MountTBR

Really enjoyed this from the start. A tense thriller with a really great storyline. Not one I‘d heard of before, but definitely recommend.

This was a great psychological thriller. Aaand the end of this one had me in total shock 😰

The enticing narrative had me hooked from the first page. Even though I found the plot to be a bit predictable I was still happy to continue reading.
The feelings Land evoked was stong and had me rooting for Milly all through out.

I read this on the flight to LA, and it was easy to get through, just a bit boring at times. Really need something to really pull me in, if anyone has any suggestions? Been in an “alright” book slump

Solid debut thriller! Female serial killer, daughter turns her in, goes to foster care, has issues of her own . . . of course I need to read this! At one point Milly says “nature vs nurture, I‘m screwed either way.“ This was hard to put down, was heavy into to the psychological bits, really good!

It‘s about a teenager who is taken into care as her mother is a serial killer. But how much does Milly know about these crimes and how much like her mother is she? Is blood thicker than water?

I read this book in a day and a half. I didn‘t want to put it down and I just wanted to know what in the world was going on. My first thought when I finished the book was “what did I just read?”. This entire book just blew me away. Definitely a five star read!

Good Me, Bad Me by debut author Land is a slow-building psychological suspense novel that gets into the mind of a serial killer‘s daughter as she tries to come to terms w/her mother‘s murders, while attempting to have some semblance of a “normal” life. While there are a few twists, none are as shocking as might be hoped, & are in fact, somewhat expected. Overall this is a solid, if not somewhat vanilla, entry in the psychological suspense genre.

Finished good me bad me. Slow paced at first but then you get hooked. All I‘m going to say is the picture scene (you‘ll know what I mean) made me feel totally uncomfortable for poor milly. Not the best thing I‘ve read but well worth giving it a a go. 7/10 😀

Finally finished that last book! Had one long slog this afternoon for an hour to get it read. Now onto this! Which has been voted a Sunday times bestseller so it should be good. Another thriller. My favourite kind of book! 🤞🏻👍🏻📚

Guys. Was it just me or was this book bananas?!?! I thought this was an awesome depiction of inside the mind of someone who is struggling between good and evil every day. It disturbed me for sure but I loved every minute of it. A beautiful take as well on nature vs nurture in my opinion.

I'm enjoying this book, it's kind of relatable for me how Milly behaves because I come from a broken home. But even so a bit 'self-mockery' with the title and some pastry!

I devoured this book! I loved the style of writing although predictable in places it still kept me entertained. I think it was just one chapter too long though-It was all very neatly tied up where as I thought it could have been left with a slight mystery! #goodmebadme #onedayread

I have wanted this book FOREVER, @squirrelbrain 😽 It was so lovely to receive it in the post from you today; all wrapped tightly in brown paper, and then in lovely floral wrapping paper. I‘m feeling rough today because I have none of anti-fatigue meds Provigil left (insurance hasn‘t approved the next load yet, for my MS), and I can barely keep my eyes open.

I could not put this down! I had to know what happened next! A story of a girl looking for a fresh start after living with her serial killer mother for most of her life. Although the topic is disturbing, I really enjoyed the book it kept my attention and kept me guessing until the end. Will Annie be like her mother or is she capable of being different?

As I finished this book, I wondered why I kept on reading. Milly‘s mother is on trial after Milly turned her in for committing several child murders. A mother as a serial killer, and Milly battles the entire book how much of her is nature vs. nurture. Seriously creepy. I definitely need to read something light after this!

I heard good things about this one and really wanted to read it, but I just couldn‘t.

Wow, a fantastic, gripping, debut novel. I highly recommend. I read it going to Barbados and couldn't put it down. It's told from the perspective of a serial killer's relative, Annie, who hands her mother into the police after she witnesses the death of countless children in their home. Annie is placed in foster care and tries to get on with her life but finds she is an outsider & fears it may run in her blood. A face-paced novel that I enjoyed.

My first post on Litsy. Having no clue how this works I'll learn by trial and error I guess haha. Did anyone read this book? I started reading it a year ago but I stopped. I just wasn't in the right mind set. Struggling with a disorder and trying to read something like this is quite the challenge. This year is going better so this one could be next in line!

My first audiobook for 2018! I really enjoyed this one -- great characters, good plot development, and very quick listen. Imogen Church is a fab narrator.

Rainy Saturday morning reading

Wow this book was beyond amazing. Why did it have to end??!!!

I‘m torn between rating this somewhere between 3.5 & 4 🌟🌟🌟.💫‘s so for arguments sake we‘ll just say it‘s somewhere in between 😉. This book was well written and I enjoyed it. My issue w/it was the originality-only because well it‘s been there done that for me, but hey it was still a good book nonetheless. It also dragged a bit here and there, but the author portrayed the main characters internal struggles very well. 😬A good read👍🏼

Started my first audiobook of the year today.

I had to bail. This book is very much like a Gillian Flynn novel. I really liked Gone Girl, but with the narrators voice being the perfect amount of creepy I had to bail. It‘s about a child murderer. I woke up to having creepy dreams the last two nights. Usually I‘m not so bothered, but having two young children this hits home. Sorry, bail!
