These books… W O W. I am so glad I‘ve jumped on the Percy Jackson train as the kids and I are having such a ball reading these together. This book is seriously gripping and has some really quite scary parts in it. AND THE END. I mean, if you don‘t see that coming it kills you. I feel very sorry for anyone who read that at the time of publishing and had to wait however many years for the next book 😅 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
if you're up for a thrilling adventure that'll have you on the edge of your seat until the very end, “The Mark of Athena“ is a must-listen. Trust me, you won't regret joining Percy, Annabeth, and the rest of the gang on their quest to save the world,,,

Insanely good!

I love Rick and these books are very good but they‘re also just, so long. There‘s a specific kind of irony in these books about a bunch of adhd/dyslexic kids being so long that my adhd/dyslexia adjacent brain makes it hard to read them 😆 I do enjoy them still but it takes longer to read them then it should take me because big book 🤷🏼♀️
I stand by my previous assessment that this series could have been split in half and made into two series.
Unabridged Audiobook (10/10):
Of all the stories I‘ve read so far in Rick Riordan‘s Camp Half-Blood Chronicles, this is truly one of my favorites. The stakes are so incredibly high, the lore is expansive yet easily understood, and there‘s a large cast of characters who are all easy to love and appreciate. The final chapters of this one genuinely gave me goosebumps and had me on the edge of my seat. I can‘t wait to see where things go next!
3 of 5 in the series. The story continues with more development. It is surely the middle where things are still ramping up and I hope the conclude in the next couple of books. I will more than likely keep pressing on without much delay.
⭐⭐⭐💫
This third book of the series was a little bit more chaotic than the first two, maybe all seven demigods and multiple storylines were a LOT to handle at the same time.. But that ending?!? It was brutal 🥺😭💔
This was my #bookspin for October @thearomaofbooks
Here they are, my #bookspin and #doublespin for October.. The Heroes of Olympus #3 & #4 🤩 can't wait to spend more time with Percy, Jason & Co.
Rereading these books have been an amazing experience. The third book in the series is no exception. This book made me feel so much closer to Piper, Leo, Frank and Hazel. Rick Riordan is an amazing writer and makes it so easy to fall in love with these characters!
Aaaah! I loved this book, and the emotional roller coaster I went through leaves me unsure if I‘m mentally ready for the next book. Well, until then, know that I really enjoyed this book and recommend it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I must say there were a lot of main characters. I confused Hazel and Piper quite often, because I don't know them so well. However, all the divisions they made for beating new obstacles was a nice touch. In almost every chapter they formed a new trio, which gave new dynamics. I liked the chapters from Percy's POV the best, because he remains the original hero. We met awesome monsters and the cliffhanger was thrilling! On to the next book!
5✨ This series is so much fun! I‘m glad I still have two books to enjoy. We follow four main characters: Percy, Leo, Piper, and Annabeth. Annabeth is really the main storyline though. These characters along with others have one main quest, but they have to split up and each split has its own adventures. The main task through the series will obviously conclude on the last book, but the mini adventures along the way keep you on the edge of your seat
I feel like this third book in the Heroes of Olympus series is really where things start to take off. I really loved seeing this group of demigods take on such a big quest. The fact that they had to figure out how to work together in pretty dire circumstances really heightened the tension. I also think this book really allowed us to get to know Annabeth more than we have in the past.
Continued on IG and GR
It was fun dipping back into this world & esp. seeing all these characters working together. Bouncing btwn their perspectives was excellent, and the stops on the quest were fun & led perfectly one to the next. A few parts did drag a bit, and there was a great deal of repetition of their missions & the various prophecies that they were following that felt unnecessary. Still willing to see where their quest goes from here.
And Leo is still awesome.
A brilliant book and still a terrible cliffhanger however many times you read it. #percyjackson #annabethchase #heroesofolympus #percabeth #rickriordan
Things I loved about this book (the best Riordan I have read so far):
1. The gang is all together! We get so many PoVs.
2. Annabeth's solo quest
3. More of Leo's backstory
4. I got to google Archimedes. #rabbithole
5. I also got to google Athena Parthenos. #rabbithole Did you know that there is a to-scale replica of the Parthenon complete with Athena Parthenos in...Nashville, TN? So that's weird.
(quarantine book 103; read a book set near water)
I am loving this second series. This one has a lot of POV characters out on the quest and it was sometimes a little hard to keep track of. But I loved all the myths and legends.
New and old demigods!
Goddesses and a "villains" child!
I even learnt what the ΑΦΕ means on Athenas coin.
I remember that episode of Myth Busters. That was an awesome show.
I made a suggestion for their show once and they actually did it. One of the great moments of my life. 😁
The mer-heroes training camp trained Weissmuller...that made me laugh so hard! 😂
Enjoying the tagged book whenever I get time to spend on it. We just watched The Princess Bride. I‘m currently charging my new iPad mini and will fool around with it soon. Thanks to @LibrarianRyan @TheAromaofBooks @Butterfinger @wanderinglynn for the input! We decided to go with the familiar platform and hope that helps. I am so not tech functional!
Here‘s the kiddo doing an online ballet class, because she‘s cute. #keepLitsypositive
I started this today, hoping it‘ll stick. The last few days I‘ve had no time to myself at all, and any attempts at reading have fizzed out.
I appreciate all the positivity here, but since this is my safe place I feel like I can say I‘m really struggling. The uncertainty of it all, the frustration for my daughter missing out on activities, craziness at my husband‘s work (military), and all the strain on me as the one holding it all (cont)
Third in the series. Worthy enough to binge forward to book four.
I really found this book interesting because its an adventure romance, my favorite genre. It's very sweet because Percy risks his life and lets go of the cliff knowing that he could very much die, but he does it for Annabeth.

How did you choose this book: Completing a series
Annabeth Chase is terrified. Just when she is reunited with Percy, it seems like Camp Jupiter is ready for war. And that's only one of her worries. In her pocket she carries a gift from her mother that came with an unnerving command: Follow the Mark of Athena, Avenge me.
I thought this was a great book.
It had a lot of ups and downs and offered a lot to the series.
Can‘t wait for the House Of Hades📚
Continuing the adventures of the demigods, the two groups from the first two books are united, and I found the combination very satisfying. Annabeth gets to shine, which I appreciated. All in all, a nice chapter in the saga.
Built a blanket fort for the kids and their friend who stayed the night. Totally going to monopolize it while they're busy playing video games to read.
What an ending! This book was a gut wrenching roller coaster and I loved it. If you‘re not itching to read the next one after an ending like this, then I question your sense of loyalty and adventure. What a journey this has been.
“I only attack my boyfriend that way.”
-Annabeth Chase
“You dropped this.”
- Percy Jackson
"War is coming. Bloodshed is inevitable. So there's really only one thing to do."
"....have tea and chat, obviously."
Aphrodite knew how to do tea.
1. My daughter getting her books signed by Rick Riordan at the LA Times Festival of Books!
2. No... my daughters like to watch AGT so I sometimes get sucked in.
3. I Contain Multitudes, by Ed Yong
4. Bookmarks... I love both but I probably have too many totes.
5. Between Heaven and Here by Susan Straight

Currently reading this book. Great book!!!
Rick Riordan is my top read author so far. If you haven't read any of his book start with Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief and so on...
5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Done! It was amazing, which is no surprise. Riordan's books are always great. I started this years ago, but wasn't in the mood at the time. Finally picked it up again and just flew through it. Now on to book four!
