pickI really found this book interesting because its an adventure romance, my favorite genre. It's very sweet because Percy risks his life and lets go of the cliff knowing that he could very much die, but he does it for Annabeth.

pickI thought this was a great book.
It had a lot of ups and downs and offered a lot to the series.

pickContinuing the adventures of the demigods, the two groups from the first two books are united, and I found the combination very satisfying. Annabeth gets to shine, which I appreciated. All in all, a nice chapter in the saga.
Built a blanket fort for the kids and their friend who stayed the night. Totally going to monopolize it while they're busy playing video games to read.
pickWhat an ending! This book was a gut wrenching roller coaster and I loved it. If you‘re not itching to read the next one after an ending like this, then I question your sense of loyalty and adventure. What a journey this has been.

I feel kind of like I wanted someone to notice the cord and cut it before it dragged Annabeth into Tartarus, and kind of like that would be too unrealistic and not advance the plot.

pickDone! It was amazing, which is no surprise. Riordan's books are always great. I started this years ago, but wasn't in the mood at the time. Finally picked it up again and just flew through it. Now on to book four!

This series just keeps getting better and better with every book. As it's book 3 in a series I can't say much without spoiling things but the characters are working together well despite their differences and things are definitely heading towards a climax of some sort as the tension is building and I can't wait to read more.
pickMy daughter got me into this series, when she knew I was reading this book she told me that Annabeth reminded her of me so much. After reading this book I feel stronger than wonder woman. Getting at last the pov of Annabeth and her fears and wits made me glad. She is everything I expected and more. Loved this book so much.

Page 265 and this book is just getting better and better. The writing is effortless and brilliant, Riordan weaves each character narration flows beautifully. Jumping between Percy, Annabeth, Leo and Piper's point of view, the rest of this book is going to be insane!

I started The Mark of Athena by Rick Riordan last night, 106 pages have flown by. My favourite book in the serried so far, Annabeth has always been my favourite character and I ship her and Percy so much so I was really emotional seeing them together! I'm finally finally finally going to continue with this series!!! 😄😆I used to be a HUGE Percy Jackson fan and read all but the very first book right when they came out--and the previous one came out in October 2011, 5 1/2 years ago! Then I just stopped reading them for no reason... ☹️ I'm trying out the audiobooks for the first time, and so far I don't really like the reader that much, but hopefully I'll get used to him!

So many different races and cultures were represented in this series. The female characters were strong and equally as important to the plot as the male characters. And there was a LGBTQ character. If reading this meant so much to me, can you imagine what it means to kids who these books are really geared for! Representation matters.

pickCamp Half Blood and Camp Jupiter joining forces is as epic as I thought it would be! Seeing Annabeth at her best again was such a treat. I listened to the audiobook, and the narration was great.
