I‘m posting one book a day from my massive collection. No description, no reason for why I want to read it (some I‘ve had so long I don‘t even remember why!). Feel free to join in!

Last year I bailed on this one. I gave it another shot. Not my favorite Hannah book. I‘ve loved all of the others I‘ve read but this one just never seemed to click.

Ugh. Worst Kristin Hannah book. Husband was utterly unlikeable. Wife was full of self doubt. Just so much unnecessary angst with no real point.
Depressing pretty much throughout the whole book and even the "happy ending" was a farce...too many lies and too much heartache to heal. This is the only Hannah book I have not liked. Maybe I'm in a mood.
I‘m a big fan of Kristin Hannah & love how emotional her stories are. But, honestly, this one was a bit too sad and depressing. Maybe I shouldn‘t have read it while it is still so gray & rainy here, I don‘t know. It was good, but now I need something lighter & happier for my next book.
I‘m going to hibernate this one for a later date. I‘ve loved the Kristin Hannah books I‘ve read so far. I just couldn‘t get into this one. Instead of pushing through, I‘m hoping it‘s just not for me right now.
If you‘ve read this, what are your thoughts?
Hmmm! what to say about this book?! 🤷♂️
Definitely not up to the author‘s usual standard, and never felt emotionally involved in it like with her other books. Usually she can lead me to tears of sadness, happiness etc, this one possibly just tears of boredom or not caring at points. Don‘t let this put you off the author, we can all have a bad day. @Tove_Reads @EadieB
Have started the tagged book, which I am reading with @Tove_Reads @EadieB
No. Just no. Boring and predictable, poorly written, and people constantly questioning their lives and choices they‘ve made, or were made for them. Repetitive. My least favourite Hannah.

Elizabeth and Jackson Shore married young, raised two daughters, and weathered the storms of youth as they built a family. From a distance, their lives look picture perfect. But after the girls leave home, Jack and Elizabeth quietly drift apart. When Jack accepts a wonderful new job, Elizabeth puts her own needs aside to follow him across the country.
Finally finished it. This book hit home for me on many levels, making it hard/not exciting to continue reading.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ …meh 🤷🏻♀️ You can definitely tell this written was before KH found her niche. I also kept asking myself, “have I read this before?” Like everything sounded so familiar but I think that‘s just another word for basic. Idk how Elizabeth stood Jack, his parts were hard to read.. ugh, men 🙄 wasn‘t my favorite
“Moments of extreme joy or sorrow always feel surreal and incredible, which tells us that life is mostly a voyage of mundanity between distant, analogous shores of disbelief.”

The perfect reading rainstorm has just erupted here in Tennessee. A relaxing night of reading is ahead. 😌⛈📚
Found these gems at the used book store. All for $20! Slowly building my Outlander collection (if I ever finish them lol) ☺️
Picked this one up from a Little Free Library knowing that Kristin Hannah rarely disappoints.
This is the story of a crumbling marriage, second chances, and never giving up on your dreams.
* Note how I included a picture of a seashore 😄

This week we have more Kristin Hannah. Again from my mom.
If you‘ve read any of these let me know what you thought.
Another Kristin Hannah book that didn‘t disappoint. It had all the feels, ups and downs.
My feet are too cold to move the dog laying on top of them...so e-book it is.

Bittersweet...I don't believe there exists a Hannah book that I would not love.
(Ughhh-that sticky used-book label)
This book was just not good. It was all based around a couple who‘d been married a long time and just were distant from one another. The husband does a myriad of stupid things. The wife tries to “find herself”. I almost bailed and sort of just skimmed the last half. 😴
1. This bear was in the parking lot of my husband‘s work. We don‘t usually have bears around here.
2. Coffee
3. Couple Fights Constantly
4. A text box on a document I‘m working on
5. 5‘6”

This book is just not holding my attention. I have 3 Kristin Hannah books in my #13books13weeks pile and am starting to be nervous about it, if they‘re all like this.
"The lure of the distant and difficult is deceptive. The great opportunity is where you are." -John Burroughs
I enjoyed this! There's a character called 'Large Marge'-I think there was a character with same name in The Great Alone???
I felt this story was really underdeveloped and the characters very unlikeable. The main characters spend half of the book thinking about how stale their marriage is, the husband considers cheating with every younger woman he comes into contact with. Finally they separate and surprise....the husband does have a affair. I found the parts where he was lusting after other women to be a bit maddening and it greatly reduced my enjoyment of the book.
My current read has a somewhat fitting title for my Labor Day Weekend. Hubby is nice enough to drive everywhere so I can read. 😊🌊🚢
