A strange, hopeful story of a lonely young girl who find solace in reading Jane Eyre. I liked it!

I really like this small book. The book was black and white most of the time but some places was color, I really liked that part. It would go colour mainly when the girl is happy. The girl gets bullied quite a bit at school by lots of different people. She helps get away of all that by reading which she loves. Overall this is a great book and i definitely recommended it.
An excellent YA graphic novel about experiencing the cruelty other children and becoming capable of, and overcoming that. #Booked2022 #SetInACanadianProvince #PopSugar2022 #ABookYouKnowNothingAbout #Pantone2022 #FragileSprout #WinterGames2022 #TeamGameSleighers
This graphic novel entwines Jane Eyre‘s story with the story of Helene, who has experienced bullying in school. The illustrations convey deep emotion, with gray coloring and somber lines. Helene feels adrift, until a chance encounter with a red fox gives her a new perspective. This book offers solace and hope to readers and would serve as a good recommendation to any middle schooler suffering from bullying.

I am taking a course that focuses on service and resources for children in the library. I have to read a children‘s graphic novel and I found these two. I loved Coraline and I found this Jane Eyre rendition. Has anyone read either of these? Or do you know of anymore have any suggestions for children‘s graphic novels? #coraline #graphicnovel #mustread #bibliophile
This picture book/graphic novel follows a young girl who is now an outcast and bullied. Her days at school are shown in grays. When she reads Jane Eyre, however, the illustrations are in full color. When her school goes on a trip to the country, color begins to peak in.
I love the use of color in this book and the beautiful illustrations 💕. Loved the message too. #scarathlon 1pt (read) #TeamStoker + (matte cover) #ScaryScavengerHunt
Ooof. This was a beautiful gut punch. I remember so clearly those middle school feelings of shame, isolation, inadequacy, and longing; I also turned to Jane Eyre for solace (and to hide). This lovely graphic novel has completely gorgeous illustrations and a painfully real protagonist looking for connection and affirmation. It also has a wonderfully sweet ending, I'm happy to report! #GraphicNovel #InTranslation
This book did a really good job at showing a young girl dealing with bullying. I love how she turned to the book Jane Eyre to cope. The ending was great. I definitely recommend this.
4.75 stars
I highly recommend this book. It is lovely in every way, a quick read, and a solace to those who have endured similar circumstances.

It seems like the best option for #itsgonnabeme is one of my outfit photos from my Instagram account, abookishbutterflyscloset, with one of my TBR books for May. #amonthofsongs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @OriginalCyn620
What is on your May TBR?
I fully confess that there is a chance that I won‘t get to all of these but there is just as much of a chance that I will. Two of them are relatively short (100–150 pages).

This was a quick read about a girl being bullied. She escapes her reality by reading Jane Eyre. The art in this is not a style that I would normally go for but it worked well with the story and was quite beautiful in places.
This book represents a few of my loves: books, art, and animals. ❤️
#Aprella Day 14: #ItsAShame that there is still so much bullying going on in schools, especially among tweeners. This is a powerful illustrated novel about a young girl grappling with body shaming, belonging, and figuring out who she is by escaping into Jane Eyre‘s world. I wanted to borrow this from the library but sadly it‘s been taken out - no longer available. There must have been a complaint about its “appropriateness.”
What a lovely book! Beautiful story and art. Very quick read too.
A wonderful little GN about bullying and Jane Eyre, and this poor girl in school and at camp. I loved the story, and the use of color in the illustrations. Please read the review that @Emily92Bibliophile did, it‘s great, and she‘s where I found out about this book from.
Very much enjoyed this one. It‘s very relatable if you‘ve ever felt like an outcast. Great first book of 2018!
This book is beautiful and kind, and reminded me of my own youth and the experiences of my friends and family. The illustrations are lovely and evocative, and the story moves beautifully.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️What an absolute beauty. This graphic novel was about a young girl, who's being bullied by her classmates, and turns to her copy of Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre for comfort. 💜
I loved this book so much. I was and still considered myself as different from most people. This often leads to feelings of loneliness that are hard to carry sometimes, but makes connections so much more meaningful. I often turned to books to feel less lonely and they inspired me to be true to myself. That is why I love Jane Eyre and why this book was so beautiful to me.
This was more painful to read than I had expected. Hélène's experience being bullied by former "friends" felt so real, so senselessly cruel, and her isolation complete. I remember those days. Reading Jane Eyre provides her comfort and hope, but also a heightened sense of what she supposedly lacks. And the fox, her mother... ? Reminds me of that Adrienne Rich quote: "Without tenderness, we are in hell." The tenderness in this book is powerful.
Beginning tonight. Despite it being July and woefully hot and humid in southern Appalachia, I have been craving hot cocoa every night. 📗☕
This lovely graphic novel is #setinFrance and tells the story about a young girl being bullied. To deal with this she reads Jane Eyre (which is understandable) and she befriends a fox (which is sweet).

Sometimes, it is the #scars you can't see, that hurt the most. This graphic novel about a young girl being bullied and escaping into Jane Eyre blew my mind. The artwork is stunning, and themes of loneliness, low self esteem and fitting in was dealt with very delicately. 👌

So beautiful! I love the story and the illustrations. Like Helene, (and many of you) I use books to filter out and to understand the world around me--to find myself. Also, Helene's brothers are drawn to look like ninjas. And her mother is a wonderful person. I cannot recommend this sweet, delightful book enough. Spoiler alert: if you haven't read Jane Eyre, she gives away the ending.
On a reading binge today (because I put 56 books on my library list and they will probably start being ready tomorrow *panic*) but am savoring this graphic novel (Translated from French) about a bullied girl who finds refuge in reading-JANE EYRE-my personal favorite.
For anyone who, as a kid, had problems with their body image, with friends, or bullies, this book gets very real. It's lovely, the artwork, writing, it's simple message. I loved it, it's a book that deserves all the praise it's received.
Boom! Another French translation. Helene's getting lost in books and love of Jane Eyre helps her deal with getting teased and bullied. This one is pretty awesome. I do wish the fox played a bigger part.
Some #animallove - Fox edition 🦊 I don't have any pets yet, so I have to be satisfied with fictional animals for now

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️- what a beautiful story! Helene is a young girl who is bullied for her weight. She finds comfort in reading the book Jane Eyre, and later discovers that she has a choice in deciding how the hurtful words can affect her. Beautiful charcoal illustrations, and a strong theme. Im going to have to buy this book for myself soon!
Excellent graphic novel with beautiful artwork. A story of escaping from bullying and loneliness through reading Jane Eyre. 😍📚❤️
I just read this absolutely sweet, short graphic novel set in Montreal about a young girl who uses reading (Jane Eyre) to escape from bullying and social isolation until she meets a fox and a friend. The illustrations are terrific. This book really speaks to the pain of social isolation and bullying.
Jane, The Fox and Me is a graphic novel about a girl being bullied. She thinks she is fat (which she is not) and unlikeable (which she isn't either). To escape she read Jane Eyre. And there's a Fox too. What is not to love?
She is a great #childprotagonist and she drama with a lot of problems that I think a lot of girls/women can relate to.

Amazing graphic novel that deals with being the subject of bullying. About isolation and finding some peace in a piece a literature and art that talks to you, comforts you and helps to march onward. It's about the power of friendship and hope.
Amazing illustrations, amazing text. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We have a quite a collection of graphic novels at our house because both my teen and tween love them. But this book is mine and an all-time favourite. I'm a sucker for stories about the power of reading in any genre. #booktober @RealLifeReading
The character overlays her favorite story Jane Eyre onto her life in a self-deprecating way, yet adding humor to deal with awkwardness and low self-image. Anyone who dealt with those topics when younger will see the beauty and find healing in this book. One of my favorites this year.
