My husband and I went to a Japanese festival yesterday and got a couple of old books for $4. The top one is in pretty bad shape,but we thought we could use it for crafting purposes. The bottom one will just look beautiful.
pickI really enjoyed this book. It's beautifully rich w/ folklore from the 8th to 12th centuries & covers a wide area of subjects such as Buddhism, Shinto, relationships, death, & spirits (to name a few). Also, there are many folktales that provide life lessons in ethics, morality, honesty, & compassion. Some stories are strange, but most are funny, enlightening, & fascinating! Great study of historical #Japanese culture & beliefs of the era! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
