Even though #Washington was the only new state I visited in September for #RoadTripUSA2022, it was a remarkable trip!

I visited four new states in August: Georgia, Hawaii, Oregon and Montana. (Actually, only half of The Paris Library was set in Montana. Th other half was set in France. If France wanted to become a state, I‘d vote yes in a heartbeat!)
July was a busy travel month. Five new states! Delaware was the most enjoyable. Colorado was the most thought-provoking.

Two new states in June. The trip to South Carolina was fascinating. The trip to Michigan, unfortunately, was just plain weird. May have to re-visit Michigan at some point, hoping for a better experience, lol!

I visited 2 new States this month: Indiana and Wisconsin. Both trips were very enjoyable!

Visited 3 new states this month: #California , #Iowa, and #NorthCarolina . All were good visits! 😀

Two new states this month:
Kansas - The Chicken Sisters
New Jersey - A Window Opens
Guess I need to spend less time in Britain if I‘m going to hit all 50 states by the end of the year!
So far I‘ve only finished two books that take place in the United States 🤔 Sparks Like Stars is mostly about Afghanistan but does eventually end up in NY! And A Flicker in the Dark takes place in Baton Rouge, LA! The rest of the books I finished in January took place in different parts of the UK 🥸 We will see where I end up in February!

Would anyone care to join @megnews in this #RoadTripUSA2022 #readingchallenge? This would be a low key challenge with no requirement to read all 50 states, a meandering road trip as opposed to a strict itinerary. No need to plan out your books ahead unless you want to.
If you are up for alittle fun.... try this out!

#MOvember #Holiday I especially love Madonna‘s dancing ... In this one she is so light on her feet. And this surely became a great Holiday Anthem 👍🏻❤️

Hey all, I and my friend Stacy (not a Litten 😢) are road tripping it to #BookExpo18. And what is a road trip with out some awesome music?
New post (and link) a song perfect for the trip, and match it to a book. Please tell us why the book goes with the song.
One person will win a Book Expo surprise package. I'll be posting throughout the trip.
You have from now till when ever I get back Sunday. Multiple entries accepted.
Car, although after 20 years in southern Cal I‘m beginning to weary of driving
I like to go someplace I haven‘t been before. But I‘m fond of Yosemite. And I want to take the kids to San Antonio.
Not exactly. We are traveling for a family event, and several trips for ice dance competitions. My son and daughter are each going away to camp.

Is it bad that after looking up the title of this book I now have ??"Surfin' U.S.A." ?? ? stuck in my head? ?
But seriously, I'm starting to get excited about the prospect of the hubby and I being on the road and listening to some audiobooks... or possibly a podcast or two? Maybe I'll get to sneak in some reading when I'm in the passenger seat??
Aside from what I have pictured above, does anyone have any more recommendations?

#passportbook is on its way to the next destination first thing in the morning @corycatelyn @Kaye
Hey Littens, I am planning a road trip to visit The Bookshelf in Thomasville, GA (cuz that is what I do when I need to get out of my head) this weekend. Of course, gonna buy new books. Any recommendations? I am looking for books I would enjoy reading AND would want to keep, either to reread or just stare cuz I loved it. I tend to use the library for read and enjoy, but not keepers. #thankslittens #bookrec
In case anyone needs to grow their TBR 😂😍

This was the standing-room only bus that took a big bunch of library patrons to #NYC for some Christmas shopping and sight-seeing 😁. They all had a maaaahhhhvelous time, and some brought back BOOKS! 😁👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 #LitsyLovesLibraries
So my surprise road trip is Indiana Dunes. Here is the beach we sat on for most of the day. It was still kind of a chilly day, but who cares, the beach right? Across the lake you can kind of see the Chicago skyline. Read 106 pages of The Hearts Invisible Furies. Great book so far👍
Surprise road trip. My husband won't tell me if we are going north or south or the destination. So, my #LOTRchapteraday and #litsypartyofone is going on the road with me.

Bus is late but I have several books with me so this just feels like I'm being gifted more reading time. 📖
And we are off! Summer reading road trip across the US. Challenge runs through September. I need to figure out my starting point today. One of the participants will get to take home an unframed version of this print (but no walking dead Winnebago 😜)
You can still join here: https://thereadersroom.org/challenges/reading-road-trip-across-the-us/
So excited to try this! Don't know how far I'll get, but I can't wait to get some literary traveling done! What a cute idea @JenP Thanks for hosting! Hopefully I can mostly do it with books I already own (or can check out)! #readingroadtrip 📚🛣🚗

We are heading into the mountains tomorrow for a little family road trip. 🏔️🏔️ There's laundry, cleaning, packing, organizing to be done.
BUT, I only have 70 pages left in my current read...Makes sense to finish it right? It's silly to take along an almost-finished book. Right?
#recommendsday My favorite travel guide! I used this baby a lot during my cross country road trip last summer. With the best routes to take and unique destinations to check out along the way, this continues to be an invaluable resource for both the planning stages and the hours on the road!
