“You're on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the guy who'll decide where to go.“
This story will engage children like no other while giving teachers the chance to connect learning through the strong messages/themes.
This is such a perfect book that encapsulates all the journey's you'll experience through life. Children of all ages will love the world this book takes you to. I've even seen this as a popular graduation gift of past school teachers sharing memorable moments throughout a students school years.
Reading is slow right now! Getting ready for this kid‘s graduation from Penn State next Friday. Our daughter and her family arrive tomorrow from Arizona. They leave for Germany soon! Feeling very blessed this month! 🌷💚☀️
It might be a bit of a line call, but I'm calling this sentence “not a blurb“.

For the Book That Was Featured on Friends prompt of #wickedwords : most were either unavailable or I've read them. So I decided on a re read that I haven't read for a long time.

Hey, y'all! I've missed you!
The past six months have been a crazy journey. My younger daughter graduates from high school next week, & she is pursuing a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre. This means that in addition to academic applications, she had to audition for the programs. 13,125 miles & 18 auditions later, she is thrilled to be attending Dean College in Franklin, MA & I am thrilled to have time to read once again!
I'm back! 😁
This is a classic Dr. Seuss book. It highlights all the places you will go and things you may experiences through out your life. It is full of rhymes and the illustrations are engaging for students. It teaches a great lesson. It is something I will definitely have in my classroom.
This book by Dr. Seuss is very poetic and inspiring. I have heard this story many times and in other situations like speeches, etc. I think that a lot of children enjoy reading Dr. Seuss books because of they rhyming!
Okay, so this isn't Halloween related at all, but it is book related so I had to share. 😁
I love to get this book for my graduating seniors!! #memorablegift #indeliablemoments @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @Eggs
My favorite Hello Bello diaper box yet! My boys loved the book and my four-year-old "flew" around our kitchen and talked about all the animals he saw "below." ?
This cozy moment brought to you by the Litten who recommended Oh Reader! I will comb through my notifications to find who it was who recommended, until then thank you 😊
The Girl Child graduated from college in 2020 but didn't get a graduation until today. I graduated with a Master's Degree 3 weeks ago. Hers came a year late, but we got to celebrate together... 🎓🎓 #silverlinings #makethebestofit #graduation #betterlatethannever #family #celebration #lifemoments
My Mum just sent me an article about the upcoming blood moon and how it *could* affect fire signs - in particular - Sagittarius.
Wish me luck this week! I‘ve got my performance review and a super awkward chat about what my job should entail (I say super awkward because the last time I spoke with this particular manager - she said some really unprofessional stuff) which is what you want, coming off a major restructure.
Masters Degree done! ☑️
Bring on the TBR list! 😜🤩😆🤓🎉

This MF book is a staple in any classroom regardless of age and it is my all time favorite children's book. This book would be a great read aloud to do at the beginning and end of the year as a motivational story. It is encouraging to people of all ages. I would use this book the day before testing to give students some encouragement. #UCFLAE3414SP2
It is Dr. Seuss‘s birthday - Happy Read Across America Day!

1. I received the tagged book as a gift from my Mom when I graduated college. She passed away almost five years ago.
2. These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner.
3. You by Caroline Kepnes
I tag anyone who would like to participate!
Masked preschool teacher by day + masked library clerk by night = a whole new kind of exhausted. It is definitely a crazy world we are living in.
Not book related, but I wanted to share that we FINALLY got to celebrate my daughter's high school graduation. It was an unseasonably cool, beautiful night in Tennessee, on the football field, with social distancing both between the grads on the field & families in the stands, & a live stream for those unable to attend. So very thankful that the biggest event in her life thus far didn't go by without recognition. 🎓

I was able to get my partner to read to me again. It‘s been a while and I‘ve missed it.
I signed up for the #Staycationtimeswap but was soooo overwhelmed by trying to chose literally any place in time and space to visit?! So I left it pretty broad! 😂 Can't wait to shop for my match!!! Seriously, if I get a couple of books and some goodies, I'll be happy no matter where & when they're from!
@Chrissyreadit is hosting this one, so check out her page for the signup link!!!
This happened today - 4th and final kid is a high school graduate! ❤️👨🎓💛🦁

Also, I keep getting distracted trying to read the titles on the bookshelves behind her! 🤣
This F book was a huge part of my childhood! It is perfect for any child wanting to dream big and having optimism for all the journeys life can offer. It is also great to send off this book to anyone graduating! This story is about a boy in pajamas going on a variety amount of adventures and visiting all the places that he can go. This would be cute for a RA! https://www.seussville.com/book/43092/oh-the-places-youll-go/ #UCFLAE3414SP20
This book is a great book to read when entering a new stage of life. It talks about the journey of life and it‘s challenges. This is a NF book that would be great for a SR because every student should have the opportunity to read/listen to this book. https://www.weareteachers.com/oh-the-places-youll-go-activities/

Today‘s Prompt: Dr. Seuss
I'm over the moon excited to give this amazing journal created by @TheAromaofBooks to my son tonight to use during church. Check out her Etsy shop as ThreeTreeWhimsy. 📙
I know that this book is kinda cliché as a graduation gift, but I received it as a baby gift for one of my girls - what a great idea! I have had each of her teachers sign it at the end of the school year & plan to present it to her at graduation (she's currently a freshman). So, now I give it as a baby gift with a note suggesting the same. I'm only sorry that I didn't get it as a baby gift for my older daughter!
I'd definitely include this book among other Dr. Suess books, because I know Dr. Suess books were some of my favorite books growing up.
“Oh, the Places You'll Go!“ by Dr. Suess, 1990. Poetry book. This is one of my favorite Dr. Suess books! It's a very empowering book about how you decide your own path. It rhymes so it will keep the kids engaged.
Oh the places I want to go...♡♡♡

I will definitely be reading this during a poetry lesson. This is a great end of the year story as well for students to transition into the next grade!
“Oh, the Places You‘ll Go!” was written by Dr. Seuss in 1990. This book is a wonderful form of poetry and describes a hopeful story about everything someone can become in the world! Overall, I really love this childhood favorite
“Congratulations! Today is your day. You're off to great places!“
