Here‘s my progress on this ARC that was sent to me from Chasing Books PR. It‘s really good. It comes out April 15th. I read 2 more chapters tonight so I made some progress. I‘m hoping to spend more time this weekend reading this. It‘s a sports second chance romance set in college. The guy and girl dated in high school and then they broke up and now, they‘re attending the same college. He‘s a football player and she‘s dating his teammate.

Here‘s my progress on this #roll100 book I started in February. I‘m still reading it and journaling along with it when the blank journal pages come up in the book. There are journal prompts but I‘m not doing them. I‘ve been choosing journal prompts that I find online or I do stream of consciousness writing where I‘m just filling up 3 pages in my notebook with just my thoughts. Anything that‘s on my mind at all.

I finished reading this week‘s short story for #noplacelikeholmes and I‘m ready for the discussion tomorrow.

I just took this quiz and this is what it said about me. They‘re not wrong about me as a reader but I read American Gods and Lonesome Dove and I didn‘t really like those books very much.

Today, I got an email from St. Martin‘s Press saying that it‘s time to reapply for their Early Readers program so I reapplied and this is what they said afterwards. I haven‘t read the books they‘ve sent me to review because I‘m behind on ARCs but I reapplied for the program anyway. I‘ll find out in June if they‘ll let me stay in their Early Readers program or not but I hope I get to stay. I really like their books that they publish.

I just started this ARC last night that was sent to me from Chasing Books PR. It comes out April 15th. It is really good. I hope I can finish it before the 15th. This book is not in the Litsy database. I didn‘t get to read as much of it as I wanted to this afternoon because my mom and I were at the dentist today.

I‘ve seen Toy Story 3, The Help, Les Miserables, Silver Linings Playbook, American Sniper, La La Land, Black Panther, Bohemian Rhapsody, A Star Is Born, Joker, West Side Story, Elvis, Barbie.

I want to watch The Social Network, The Wolf Of Wall Street, The Martian, The Revenant, Get Out, Little Women, Sound Of Metal, Top Gun: Maverick (but I want to watch Top Gun first), Wicked (I‘ve only seen the musical).

My mom and I both had iPhone 12s and now, we both have iPhone 16s. The picture I‘m showing is the difference between the iPhone 12 and iPhone 16 chargers. We have 1 charging cube that will work but we‘ll have to share it. Luckily, Amazon has charging cubes. The iPhone 12 charger can still charge my iPad but what I liked before was that I could use the same charger for my phone and my iPad and now, I won‘t be able to.

I slept all day. I didn‘t wake up until 3 PM. It was raining all day and I stayed in my nightgown. I didn‘t change into regular clothes. Tonight, I ate dinner and then I took a shower after dinner. I read more of Assassin‘s Apprentice by Robin Hobb for the #realmofelderlings buddy read. It‘s midnight right now so I‘m going to journal for a little bit and then get back to reading more of Assassin‘s Apprentice.

I made more progress in this book tonight. I was on chapter 6 and I just stopped on chapter 10. I like what I‘ve read so far.

This book is a Netgalley book I was approved for before it was approved but I never got around to reading it. I found out that recently Taylor Swift is older than me by about 6 or 7 months so she‘s not that much older than me. Her birthday is December 13, 1989 and my birthday is July 9, 1990. She turned 35 in December. I‘ll be 35 in July. I like her so I think that‘s really cool.

I‘ve seen Ghost, Beauty And The Beast, Pulp Fiction, Juno, The Blind Side, Up, LOTR: Fellowship Of The Ring, LOTR: The Two Towers, LOTR: The Return Of The King, Moulin Rouge, Crouching Tiger: Hidden Dragon.
I want to see Jerry Maguire, Erin Brockovich, Avatar, The Green Mile. I like Tom Hanks. I found out that he and I share a birthday. Our birthdays are both on July 9 but we were born different years.

This is a #roll100 book that was picked in February when the numbers were drawn. I‘ve been reading it since February 17. This was a book I found on Netgalley under the Read Now section and I didn‘t get around to reading it before it was published. Will I finish it this month? I don‘t know. I‘ve been journaling along with this book. This has a lot of blank journal pages and journal prompts. I might not have time to read my other #roll100 books.

I‘m looking forward to reading the *NSYNC book and reading Party Of One which is about being single. I‘m also looking forward to reading the book about black fashion designers. The only book I‘m not looking forward to is about Josephine Butler and women‘s rights. I‘m not in the mood to read about that but I will read it.

They‘re happy. Before I know it, it‘ll be time for them to have their babies.

Houston Library Foundation posted this on Facebook today. I‘m glad I participated in Library Giving Day on April 1 by giving $5 to Harris County Public Library and $5 to Houston Public Library. I feel good about this.

I was on Kanopy recently and I discovered that PBS documentaries are on there. I typed PBS into the search function and they have so many things from PBS. This is just some of the things from PBS they have but I was sitting here scrolling through all of this and it goes on forever. I never reached the end of the results. I‘m glad I discovered this because I love PBS. PBS has a Roku app too. My mom cut off the cable so I can only stream PBS now.

For everyone participating in the #naturalitsy buddy read, I saw that this online event will be happening on April 8. It‘s all about trees.

I saw that my library has the books in the Shardlake series. It sounds really interesting. I think I would enjoy the books so I added the first book on to my Goodreads TBR. I don‘t have time for more long books right now. I have a lot going on with reading right now. I‘m participating in #realmofelderlings. It‘s a 15 book series. All of the books are over 500 pages and I‘m still reading the first book in that series.

I answered a guided journal prompt that says,” What is a song that always makes you feel a certain way and what emotion does it evoke?”. I filled up 3 pages in my journal answering this prompt but these are some of my answers. I enjoyed this prompt when I did it last week for the first time.

After I found out that today is Library Giving Day, I gave $5 to Houston Public Library and $5 to Harris County Public Library because I have digital library cards from both of them. I think we should all donate money to our local libraries even if we can only give $5. I hope every library gets a lot of donations today.

I won‘t have as many Agatha Christie books to read in April. I‘ll only have 1 to read. They‘re so short. They don‘t take any brain power to read.

For #weeklyfavorites, I chose The Mysterious Affair At Styles as a favorite for week 3. For the last week of the month, I chose the tagged book. I‘m participating in the #christiescapers buddy read. We‘re reading Agatha Christie books in publication order. I feel like you can‘t go wrong with any of her books. They don‘t take a long time to read so when you read one of her books then you feel like you‘re at least finishing something.

I haven‘t been to any indie bookstores in my area. I live in TX and I found out we have 25 indie bookstores here. I didn‘t know we had so many. 4 of them are close to where I live. I don‘t drive because I don‘t know how. My mom drives me if I want to go somewhere. I‘m supporting Village Books in The Woodlands on bookshop.org and I‘m supporting The Book Attic in Tomball on Libro.FM.

Tonight, I watched this movie about Taylor Swift on Kanopy. I might as well use Kanopy since it‘s free through my local library. I‘ve found a lot of stuff I want to watch. If your local library has Kanopy to watch stuff, you should take advantage of it. It just depends on what you like to watch. I also watched Fathom tonight on Apple TV. Fathom is a documentary about humpback whales and their songs. It was so interesting.
