It‘s Chauncy! I found him at BN but he‘s created by https://kingdomofthreads.com
It makes me ridiculously happy to find things inspired by this book.

New in! I‘m excited for this, but saving it. (As one does.)
Can you tell I absolutely adore this author?
I‘m ecstatic NetGalley granted me a copy of The Examiner, which is not due out until September.
I started it last night, stayed up way too late, am about 60% in, and can‘t wait to get back to it.
Oh, and I also preordered it today during BN‘s preorder sale. #netgalley #arc
I found some fun summer stickers in my craft drawer, so I decided to set up a book spin bingo board. Yay stickers!
I‘m loving StoryGraph for all the graphs and data and this new cover collage feature is making it easier to share.
June Wrap Up -
Favorite for the month: Titanium Noir
Donating: City of Nightmares & Cage of Dreams
DNF: Gnomon
Slow reading month, but some good ones 📚
#readordonate
Current reading view 📸 up north on vacation!
I finished Titanium Noir in a day, so I decided to take on this #chunkster It‘s definitely slower reading, but I‘m intrigued enough to continue!
The Summer Reading program has begun at my library!
I just discovered The Examiner is coming out this year. September is going to be lit! 💡📚
Since Jasper Fforde announced he‘s working on number 8 in the Thursday Next series, I realized I‘ve only read through number 3 and made an emergency trip to the library.
Clouds rolling in, but I‘m happy to be back reading on the deck.

ESC update - starting to look chicken-y! @FlowerFairy #knitting
First book of May completed. Yay! 🎉
Now trying to decide if I should pick up the next one or finish something else I started in April. Hm, decisions, decisions. 🤔🤣
Um, so I only recently stumbled on Book Outlet (after hearing about it everywhere) and they‘re currently having a sale… so my finger slipped and I bought some books. 🫣
Knitting an Emotional Support Chicken and watching The Masters today. #litsycrafters @Catsandbooks
My birthday‘s later this month (the big 4-0), but my sister surprised me with this early. She was watching the show, then picked up the books (because cliffhangers) and said I should read them too. I started the first few pages and I‘m confused, but intrigued…
I‘m excited and a little surprised that I‘ve gotten back into reading nonfiction this year.
Just a little excited to find this in my mailbox today. I couldn‘t wait for May (U.S. edition), so I ordered from Blackwell‘s…
Late to the party, but I‘m finally here for it! AIDAN!
“AM I NOT MERCIFUL?”
Did anyone else run, not walk to McD to buy their new adult happy meals with the 90s McNugget toys? No? Just me? 🤣🍔🍟
We‘ve made it to the Gump, one of my favorite parts of the Return to Oz movie, which I recently learned is a mashup of Land of Oz and Ozma of Oz.
This section also provided a noteworthy quote from the Scarecrow: “That proves you are unusual and I am convinced that the only people worthy of consideration in this world are the unusual ones. For the common folks are like the leaves of a tree, and live and die unnoticed.”

Going for another KAL, this time not a mystery, with the Bumblebee Acres Fiber Farm group on Ravelry using their new pattern and their Farm-inspired advent I‘m opening throughout December. 🚜🐄🦙🐇🐑🐐

Here‘s my current read on my Christmas tree. I figured Bing Crosby put presents on the tree, so why can‘t I put books?
Cyber Monday Deal alert! I love this author and her Warlocks of Amherst series is on sale - all six books together are on sale for basically the price of one book. They‘re also in Kindle Unlimited if you subscribe and want to try them before you buy.
Also this is M/M romance with mpreg. (I don‘t want to corrupt or surprise anyone if that‘s not your thing.)
Yay! Look who was just approved! *happy dance* Has anyone read this yet and if so, what did you think?
Update: I bailed 🤷♀️ It was too slow…
I cannot be trusted in a bookstore! I went in to BN for Fangirl and the tagged book and walked out with a few more… #noregrets
When you‘re in a Christmas mood, but you have Peeps left over from Halloween! 🎄👻
I‘ve been feeling super crummy since last week (horrendous cough and I lost my voice), so I bought myself this Disney Haunted Mansion throw with glow-in-the-dark eyes at my local Hallmark. I was really jazzed to find it half off and it was the last one! Made to be. I also picked up a ‘Foolish Mortals‘ mug because hot beverage!
Btw - I changed my name here to match my instagram and my love for all things books, blankets, and hot beverages!
Stayed up too late last night reading and finished this book. But no regrets! 🤦♀️🙇♀️🤷♀️ And now I‘m ready for the sequel!
#LitsyCrafters #mystery
Reading‘s taking a backseat this month as the mystery knit-a-long clues are released. I‘m halfway through Clue 1.
The new Percy Jackson book being released gave me the push to finish The Trials of Apollo series and catch up on the Percy Jackson universe this week. I forgot how entertaining these books are!
To buy or not to buy? 🤷♀️
The facts:
1. I already have at least one copy of all three.
2. I have read the first one (Darker Shade of Magic), but not the other two yet.
3. I‘d like to be inspired to read them before the new one comes out..
Thoughts?
Update: I didn‘t buy them this time. 😄
I spent the weekend in the OASIS. The first one was as good as I remembered and in the second, I felt a little bogged down by the pop culture references (seven shards vs. three keys), and the ending left me a little disturbed. But I don‘t read much sci-fi, so maybe that‘s the norm?
A quick trip to Barnes to pick up my free premium member tote and the Witch King caught my eye. I‘ve been in such a 📚 slump, I couldn‘t leave without it after the first chapter hooked me…
Picked these up at the library today. I‘m thinking of rereading Heartstopper for the graphic novel and adapted into a tv series fields. Can anyone recommend a good book for set in South America or a South American author? Or any of the other categories?
Setting up my June #bookspin early as it worked surprisingly well in May to get me to read Hotel Magnifique. Or if anyone sees anything I should try to tackle earlier? @TheAromaofBooks
Finished my #bookspin. It‘s going on the keeper shelf because I‘ll probably reread it at some point, as I liked the fantasy aspect and I rushed through it this time, but I may be getting too old for these YA/teen books.
I have nieces the ages of Jani and Zosa, and I kept thinking: that‘s a little young to be on their own.
Also, the switchblade finger? What was that? (Not sexy.) Ok, rant over.

I‘m trying out finger knitting after finding this bright and fun Citrus colored loopy yarn at our new Joann store. The plan is to transport myself right to summer, but this fuzzy goodness will make a great blanket until then.
For my May #bookspin I numbered the books sitting on my TBR bookshelf.
@TheAromaofBooks
Reading on the deck while my mom, @Pamgardens gets ready to attack the new TV Insider with the highlighter. 😂 It‘s finally Spring in Minnesota - currently 77 degrees!
“…which meant each of the county‘s twelve libraries could be open for precisely six minutes every two weeks… Using a mixture of careful planning, swiftness of foot, a robust understanding of the Dewey Decimal Book Categorisation System and with strict adherence to procedure, we could facilitate a fortnight‘s worth of returns, loans, reserves and extensions in the three hundred and sixty seconds available to us. It was known… as a Buchblitz.”
I‘m trying to use the library more, BUT what‘s a person to do when The Appeal has a waitlist?
Buy the author‘s backlist on Book Depository, apparently!🤣 I also saw she has a new one, The Christmas Appeal, coming out next October. 🎄🎅🏼
Simon and Baz at a Renaissance Faire in Iowa fighting vampires in broad daylight with an audience is everything I needed this weekend.
Nothing is holding my interest after Book of Night, so I decided to reread an old favorite. But since I never got to the sequels, this might just work out.
