4½✨

Sanderson did it again.
This installment is much slower and less action packed than the previous two, but still ending on a high that leaves me wanting more.

This was a *lot* -- and kind of tough to read during this time when real life is the same. But Bardugo did a beautiful job of tying all the series' loose ends together for a very satisfying conclusion. Her plotting is so clever! I'm surprised to see that others think another book was being set up, but I certainly won't complain if it happens.

Not my favorite Conroy. The descriptions of Charleston were long-winded and boring; and quite frankly, annoying. But the story, oh man, what a story! It was compelling, ugly, thought provoking, gripping, and worth reading.

julieclair I‘m adding this to my stack, and will skim past the Charleston descriptions. 😉 1w
TheBookgeekFrau @julieclair That's exactly how to read it 😁 Outside of that it was so good! 1w

My edition of Oathbringer is split into two books, last night I finished part one.
I don't feel like reviewing only this part is fair as it's not even half the story... but so far it's a pick

This is my #DoubleSpin for March, hopefully I'll finish it in April @TheAromaofBooks
Also this is 1391 pages in total so #AllergicToChunksters @julieclair

Starting my first #AllergicToChunksters of the year which also is my April #DoubleSpin and a #BookSpinBingo book. I love when the reading challenge stars align ☺️

5 DNF's -- Hail the Bail! (Actually, at least 6.)

I got somewhat derailed from my plan by the #TransRightsReadathon, so some extra books around the sides. Plan to read Making Money for my upcoming vacation though.

TheAromaofBooks Yay!! Fantastic month!! 3w
willaful @PuddleJumper #HailtheBail, right? 😁 I actually pretty much expect to DNF a lot of my #Roll100 choices because I picked them from my ancient TBR. 3w
PuddleJumper @willaful It gets them off your TBR! Mine is mostly books I bought years ago and just left to rot. I imagine I'll DNF most of them 3w
willaful @PuddleJumper Excellent, we're on the same page! 3w
julieclair Wow, what a month! You finished TWO chunksters?! 🏆 3w
julieclair @willaful @PuddleJumper Isn‘t it interesting how books that once sounded so interesting somehow lose their appeal as years go by? 3w
willaful @julieclair Four really! But I didn't count Crooked Kingdom because it was such a pageturner. 3w
willaful @julieclair @PuddleJumper yes, I could probably just dispense with the last 50% of my tbr and not even notice. It's sad too when there are genre classics that I once would have loved, but what can ya do... 3w

Two thumbs up 👍! This was my 3rd time reading this and it never disappoints-especially since I never remember the details! 😆 If you‘re going to read one Victorian Gothic novel, make it this one; epistolatory and perfectly paced. Thank you to @BarkingMadRead for leading the #HashtagBrigade ! 🙏

This counts toward my #AllergictoChunksters / #ChunksterChallenge2025 at 626 pages!

I listen to this mostly and the Blackstone audio production was 👌

Amiable I‘ve never read this one— will have to add to my list! 1mo
Ruthiella @Amiable Awesome! I think you will like it. Also, if you do audio, it‘s particularly a great option for this one due to its structure of multiple narratives. 1mo
julieclair Great review! I totally enjoyed this one, too. 3w

This is the conclusion to Binding 13. Loved it just as much as the first book. The author got you inside of the characters' heads. Great descriptive prose and a kick ass plot. It had all the feels. 5🌟 These books have to read in order. #SeriesLove2025 @Andrew65 #LitsyAtoZ2025 book title addition @Texreader

TheSpineView #ChunksterChallenge2025 @Amiable #AllergicToChunksters @julieclair This book comes in at 667 pages. Which I read in just three days. 1mo

#AllergicToChunksters

I consider anything over 500 pages to be a chunkster so at 600 pages my first chunkster is completed! I enjoyed the writing and all the characters but I did have to suspend my disbelief a lot with the murder mystery and that was a bit of a disappointment for me. Still, it‘s a great character study and worth a read.

4.25/5⭐️

The one where things start to get dark.

I may not have finished this in February, but it was my February #BookSpin.

@TheAromaofBooks

Bonus: it works for #allergictochunksters and is a petite chunkster for the #chunksterchallenge
