250 years ago today, the battle of Lexington and Concord occurred. Wonder what our forefathers would think now? My favorite line from JOHNNY TREMAIN, winner of the 1944 Newbery Medal and about the outbreak of said battle, is from James Otis as he's questioning all of the patriots as to why they were fighting: “We give all we have, lives, property, safety, skill...we fight, we die, for a simple thing. Only that a man can stand up.” #resist ✊🏻💙✊🏻

Funny, isn't it? That there are 50 white stripes on a 🟦 background? And only 13 🟥 stripes on the white background? #interesting 🧐 That's only 26% 🟥 but 74% 🟦. Do you think we both symbolically chose 2 💙💙 and only ♥️? Also interesting that the ♥️ is in the middle. 🧐 Yeah ... first and last drink for the night. #mondaynightponderings 🤣 3d
