I love how being kind comes in different forms for different people. This books does a great job showing this.

All about the importance of being kind, but what I really like about this picture book is that it gives concrete examples of things you can do to be kind. It also acknowledges that it isn‘t always easy. The art is great, too.

A great book on kindness. I love that it acknowledges how hard it can be sometimes to be kind. We tell kids to always be kind but often fail to acknowledge their personal feelings and insecurities. Also, it can be hard to figure out the right thing to do to show kindness. Overall, a great message.

#Aprella Day 28: These two picturebooks do not show #SelfishLove in the least as they highlight compassion, empathy, and kindness. I read the tagged book aloud during my Parent Workshop at the Canadian International School last Tuesday and it was such a huge hit - there is subtlety and vulnerability here that is deeply moving.
