I‘ve been reading one poetry collection a month this year as poetry was an area I wasn‘t giving a lot of love to in my reading life and I‘ve been really glad that I‘ve been able to follow this challenge and get amazing poems along the way

This book keeps punching me right in the feelings.

[#BookReview] Nothing Is Okay by Rachel Wiley. This is such a powerful book of poems that tackle topics like fat acceptance, being queer, being fat and queer, being mixed raced, and strong feminist themes. I related to so much Rachel Wiley was saying in her poems and I definitely think this is one to pick up. 📖🏳️‍🌈

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 This book gets five stars from me bc it was so violently honest and I related SO fiercely with her words that I had to take mental breaks from this book. It is a lot to take in, it is not for everyone, it is not for people who are hellbent on misunderstanding. If you lack the empathy and ability to watch from a distance without disturbing the message being conveyed, than this book isn't for you.

She gets me.

I have been reading this book at a slower pace to savor its collective experience. I can relate SO much to this book that I actually have to take mental breaks from it.

I love this. There is so much truth here.

This...this really hurts in a familiar way.

I might have to tattoo some of her words on my arms. And I hate tattoos.
