Not a bad series at all.
Bought me three new puzzles to do while listening to books

Soscha I do miss doing puzzles. I just don‘t have the space & flat surface to enjoy it anymore. 1y
Soscha And I stick to under 2000. I‘m just not that good at them. 🤷🏼‍♀️ 1y
bookaholic1 @Soscha I don't know what I'd do without puzzles, especially in the winter months. I usually do 2000pc, but just to relax and enjoy I bought these 3 1000pcs. I keep them and redo at different times. 1y

This is my September #BookSpinBingo list @TheAromaofBooks My reading production is limited to 8 or 9 books per month, but here I am, persistent to continue in this challenge every month😳I'm always excited to collect the books, I start with a lot of energy, and then life has other plans, excuses☺️I have here a couple of sequels which is one of my 2020 goals, to complete at least 4 series. Let's try BookSpinBingo...again🤗

EclecticBookLover I really enjoyed Anne Bishop's The Others series! 4y
Gissy @EclecticBookLover Good to know. That is the 2nd book. I'm in the mood again of vampires, werewolves and all those paranormal characters! 4y
TheAromaofBooks Hope springs eternal!! 😂 Good luck!! 4y
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick I put Edinburgh Twilight on my list, too! I know the only way I'd blackout my board is if I was laid up in bed all month or only read children's books & graphic novels, but it's still fun to try! 4y
WanderingBookaneer So many great titles! 4y

Seven this month, including these six and a cookbook. I‘m nearly half finished with The Woman in the Water but I won‘t get through the rest tonight.

Crazeedi Great books! 6y

Wow. This one really packs it in! I enjoyed A Beautiful Blue Death, but there was always something disquieting about it that made me hesitate to pick up the second mystery. It's nebulous, and I just can't pinpoint why, but Finch's writing pulls me in. Entranced, and draw to the characters, I couldn't put it down. There is an intriguing level of detail, but I have to admit that near the end I was almost skimming the pages with the suspense!

Booksnchill Love the Charles Finch books! 6y
mabell @Booksnchill I have Fleet Street ready for when the excitement from this one subsides 😁 6y
robinb I‘m so glad I kept going with this series even though the first was not a favorite of mine. I‘ve read and loved 2 & 3 and looking forward to continuing on! 6y
mabell @robinb Oh I'm glad you said that about the first one! I'm looking forward to 3 even more now! 6y
robinb @mabell I‘m not sure exactly why the first one was not that great for me. It felt stiff, dry and a little boring to me. I just felt things picked up and were a little looser in the next two. And the mysteries were more interesting to me as well. 6y

Thanks @Librarybelle and congratulations on #50k1k

I‘d like to read The September Society by Charles Finch. It‘s the second in the Charles Lenox mysteries. I read and enjoyed the first book when it came out ages ago and somehow missed that it went on and became a series. Nine books later and I‘ve now got them all on my TBR stack.

Librarybelle Thank you! I enjoyed the first book as well and haven‘t taken the time to continue the series. I‘ll have to pick this one up soon! 6y

Litsy familia! Sorry it's late, but it's here!
.
For those of you who are #bulletjournal fans, here is my September monthly log.
.
I realize the TBR is tiny, but 1) I ran out of room and 2) I usually get crazy ambitious and list way too many titles and then don't get around to reading all of them. So... best not set myself up for failure and at least list two books I'd really like to read soon!
.
#bujo

GondorGirl @Librariana I just bought a dot journal today to start a bullet journal. Your pages are beautiful inspiration! And now I'm going to have to check out the #BulletJournal tag. 💛 7y
britt_brooke So darn pretty! Love your lettering! 7y

Librariana @GondorGirl - hooray to a new dot journal!! How exciting! And yes!! Feel free to check out the tag for inspiration as I know there are quite a few of us here who are fans of the bullet journal system 😄 7y
Librariana @britt_brooke - Aawww! Thank you so much for your sweet compliment! I'm always striving to get better at it! 😊💖💜 7y
Librariana @Jess7 - Thank you! And yes!! Me too!! 😄💙 7y
monalyisha So like, if I wanted a crash course in bullet journaling, where would I look? Part of me feels like I could really get into it, but I know 👌🏻 about it. 7y
Librariana @monalyisha - I always encourage people to go to the source - Ryder Carroll is the creator of the system and if you go to his website - bulletjournal.com - you can watch videos on it so you can start with a basic foundation. Once you know the elements/components, you can go nuts! Get as creative as you want 😁 I'd also advice you not to get discouraged or overwhelmed by what you see on Instagram or Pinterest 😊 7y

I don't know about you, but I'd love to see some of the non-active Littens start posting again. I think if enough of us nudge them, we can make this community even more fun. I've created a participation challenge for every day of September, and here's your first #SmittenByLittens. Feel free to repost. :)

Kaye I am one of the lurkers who rarely responds. I have a couple of really DITZY sounding questions: 7y
Kaye How do you join in on the different readathons or challenges? And also us there a way to privately message someone in here to ask them a book related question? Thanks 7y
RaimeyGallant @Kaye Usually, if someone posts about a readathon or challenge, they'll post a hashtag that you can click on or search, but if they don't ask them in their comments, and they'll let you know. I posted some of the challenges for Sep about three posts down, and I included instructions. No private messaging:( 7y
See All 37 Comments
SauerPatch Don't feel bad @Kaye , I mostly lurk too and still haven't figured those things out myself. 7y
RaimeyGallant @SauerPatch @Kaye It took me a while to figure things out to. I was doing some of the challenges wrong, I think. :) 7y
Kaye Thank you for the replies. I'm not very tech-minded, so I am clueless as to how to do some of these things in here. I'll see if I can jump in and figure it out. I'd like to know how you guys post all the neat pictures with the books and decorative things in the photos. I have this app on my iPods and iPad but don't do pictures hardly ever. I can post just to yak about books though. 7y
MidnightBookGirl Off to look at fellow lovers of 7y
RaimeyGallant @Kaye Do you know how to take a screenshot? That's how we do it. Then when you post, there's an option to upload an image, and you can pick the image you just screenshot, and Litsy gives you options to crop it or add words and other fancy features. You just have to play around with it. 7y
RaimeyGallant @Kaye Sorry, you can screenshot or take a photo. :) 7y
Kaye I don't know what a screenshot is. 😰I've only used the camera doohickey on my iPad a couple times. Lets just say I'm an Oldie and don't use all the gadgets on my devices. I'll fiddle around here a bit today and see what I can do. 7y
RaimeyGallant A screenshot is when you take a photo of what's on your screen. Google how todo that on an ipad. I don't have an ipad, so I'm not sure how. 7y
julesG Good idea! 7y
RaimeyGallant @julesG Thanks! I hope everyone else likes it too. Thousands of Littens out there who maybe just need a few nudges each. 7y
Kaye Ok, thank you. I'll see what I can find. I wish that I had a pet to take a picture of like some of you do. I don't even have a goldfish. I used to have 2, named Orville and Wilbur after the Wright Brothers. They were aptly named. The first time I cleaned their bowl, they both jumped out of the net as if they could fly. Needless to say, next day they were Belly-Up. 🐟 7y
RaimeyGallant @Kaye That is an awesome story. Sounds like something out of a Dr. Seuss book. :) #FishOfLitsy 7y
Siannalyn That's a great idea! Now I just have to choose the book! :) 7y
JazzFeathers I'm going to do it 😁 l alway leave cimments when l find something l like, and l've noticed that even when the person has been inactive for months, sometimes they answer me 7y

RaimeyGallant @JazzFeathers I've noticed that too. :) 7y

BooksAndChopsticks How does it work?🤓 7y
monkeygirlsmama @BooksAndChopsticks Super simple. Each day, starting with Sept 1, you try to post a pic of a book you've read, heard about, or just discovered that is related to that day's prompt. Can be related based on theme, perhaps on cover design, characters, or can even be something completely off the wall. It's all fun and games! Just a way to share your bookish/life interpretations based on each topic prompt. Hope you can play along. It's always a blast. 7y
