Good mystery, but Bosch is very unlikeable in this one. Book 4 in series.

Lots of twists and turns in this one. Every time I thought I knew who killed Harry‘s mother, I was wrong. Next up on my husband‘s and my road trip list is The Kind Worth Saving; we are already liking it. I started The Twyford Code on my walk today. #audiowalk
While Bosch is under review by Internal Affairs, he is using his time unofficially to investigate a cold case from 1961 - the murder of his mother when Bosch was just a kid. Lots of plot twist going on, and the identity of the murderer will surprise you.

I am really beginning to like Michael Connelly's writing. These books are really starting to grow on me. I love his Harry Bosch character. You can't help feeling for Harry in The Last Coyote as he searches for his mother's killer. I'm glad to see that Jasmine has come into his life and hopefully he can find some happiness with her.
Started The Last Coyote, book 4 in the Harry Bosch Series. I‘m reading this s part of a group read on Librarything. @EadieB @Bluebird

My husband is in a real Bosch mood, so we‘ve started the next one in the series. It was a beautiful day today, so we went across the bay. I should be finished with Unnatural History soon since I‘ve only got a couple of hours left. My azaleas are really blooming right now. #audiowalk
Hmm...I didn't like this one as much. It feels labored and with too many twists and close calls and subplots. I think I'll go with The Poet next and take a little Bosch break.
Bosch has plenty of trouble, his beloved home has been damaged in an earthquake, & he‘s been suspended. He takes the time to dig into an old cold case , this time it‘s personal.Bosch always in trouble for coloring outside the lines, usually in pursuit of Justice . Great read ! Number 4 in the series.
A good book. Have read many Michael Connelly books. This gives a lot of background on Detective Harry Bosch‘s childhood and his mother‘s murder. Very atmospheric.
While on administrative leave from the LAPD and going to mandated therapy sessions, Bosch starts independently digging into his mother's cold case murder. While it's no surprise that the threads start to unravel, boy does Connelly know how to deliver some killer twists along the way! Great series.
(PS: you can disregard the Litsy synopsis for this book completely, it's 100% wrong for some reason)
Bosch is scrolling through radio channels and catches this bit from a "southern evangelical ranter" and it legit made me chuckle because I could hear the accent clear as a bell ?
Book #4 in the Harry Bosch series was a good one. A lot of loose ends got tied up & the author could‘ve ended here. I‘m glad he didn‘t as I‘m looking forward to more Harry stories. This book focuses mostly on Harry trying to solve the 30-year old murder of his mother.
Last week i had a busy week at work so i immersed myself in slowly reading the 4th harry bosch story as connelly's wonderfully irascible detective, suspended from duty, delves into a very personal historic crime. Perfect antidote to brain oveload.

Great detective series 😁 and I‘m up to date 👍🏻 go me.
Another great Harry Bosch book! I really am loving this series. I do love getting attached to a main character can't wait to start the next one.
Definitely recommend this 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Starting book number 3 of September after a lovely weekend away. Really enjoying this Harry Bosch series 📚
I know that I just said that the third book was my favorite so far in the series... but now it may be that I like this fourth installment even more!! Bosch uses some time off to dive into the murder of his mother- it‘s fast paced and exciting- and great for #audiocoloring!
Harry Bosch #4! Just as good as The Black Echo (#1). Harry is on paid break from the LAPD, so he independently investigates his mother‘s death from 1961. I missed Harry‘s coworkers as he wasn‘t in-office, but I loved all of the twists and suspense as the case unfolded.
So neat to see into Harry‘s thoughts as he talked openly with a shrink. The detailed retelling of his mom‘s case is also great —> I learned more about why Harry is the way he is.
Who has a 5 day weekend and is desperately trying to get her reading mojo back? This gal.
“You see, the past is what you make of it. You can use it to hurt yourself or others or you can use it to make yourself strong. I‘m strong, Harry.”
—> I love this! 🙌🏻
#QuotsyNov17 #Mask @TK-421 Bosch wore many #masks. But inside He often felt “ as Fragmented as his city. Broken, it seemed at times , at every level “
Finito ! And thank god there are 16 more to go in this series. I'm a fan ❤️. "At first it was a gentle reunion .....,,then he pulled her tightly as if she were a bandage that could stop his bleeding......" " when you find the one that you think fits, then grab on for dear life......" We all need a rock, Littens. Great book, it's my fave so far. Maybe the story , or maybe the momentum builds with each book. Whatever it is, it's good ❤️

#septembowie #slowburn @Marchpane @Cinfhen "BOSCH sat back & lit a cigarette. Already, he was tense with suspicion that things were amiss with the case. He felt the stirring of what he knew was outrage. The more he read the more he believed the case had been mishandled from the start " Harry's #slowburn begins .....
I have minded the small girl, Sofia. & done my days work. It's Harry Bosch for me now 📚📚and perhaps a little 🍷

I have a great fire going & im loving just looking at it & daydreaming. Busy busy day. Just to sit & look at the fire is heaven. My book is beside me & im looking forward to it. But right now I'm too tired to read ! Does this happen to other Littens. I feel the years catching up with me. I'll chill & read soon.
Next book for me , Harry Bosch, my old buddy. I'm hoping he will give us a few lines about #modernlove #Septembowie @Marchpane @Cinfhen He is my only hope. I have nada , I could do #love but #modernlove ?? I have 7 hours left 😉
Harry has been suspended after pushing his boss's face through a plate glass window ( face it, we've all been tempted) and decides to use his enforced leisure to find out the truth about his mother's murder 35 years previously. Bosch is such a great character -the epitome of the "maverick cop with a drink problem and demons" but he somehow never comes across as clichéd. Loved it and gave it 4/5 stars on Goodreads.
Littens, I'm freaking out a little. I have to go a town meeting to speak about coyotes because someone claims a coyote killed their dog and now everyone is bringing out the pitchforks to kill all the coyotes. I work as a naturalist at the local nature center, so I've been asked to speak on their behavior and alternative solutions to trapping and killing. I have lost a pet to a coyote before, so I know how it is. But coyotes are important!
