This mystery had a lot more humor in it than The Appeal or Twyford Code. It takes places and has many of the same characters found in The Appeal. Even in shorter form, the narrative of police docs, emails, and group chats works in slowly revealing the details of the mystery. A solid 4.5 stars. Word Search = 2,390.

pickBird Box scared the heck out of me so I have been saving this one for a good Halloween scare. I wasn‘t expecting to relate so much to the story of a mom just trying to keep her teens alive when they think they are so much smarter and fight you on every damn thing 🤣 The whole blindfold wearing issue was interesting too after the last few years of mask wearing. So, not the scare I was looking for, but a relatable tale of motherhood.
pickI love reading this graphic novel this time of year. It‘s atmospheric and touching. I was really tired last night and figured I‘d just read a few pages, but ended up reading the whole thing. Good thing it‘s a quick read!

pickI have been flying through the cozies this month. This was a pretty good one featuring a mc who comes back from the big city to save her family‘s business. Predictable but I liked the Montana setting.
pickI‘ve enjoyed making my way through this mystery anthology this month. My favorite was the last story, and the inspiration for the title. In Hotel California the famous song is told through the eyes of a social media influencer. And it was as creepy as it sounds.
