This will be my first book for #authoramonth (Kate Quinn wrote Part 6) and #litsyatoz #letterY. @Soubhiville
Matthew Prince creating events in his head in times of stress reminded me so much of Jenna Hunterson from Waitress creating a new pie in her mind. 🥹 Was really sad that there wasn‘t a recipe in the book for the chai cookies with eggnog icing. I want to make them so bad. I really loved the focus on mental health in this one around anxiety. And Matthew‘s mom can get stuffed. ⬇️
Sammy tries to explain Santa to a not-so-bright turkey. This is a long (relatively speaking) picture book with very simple words on each page. Probably good for a 2-3 year old

The universe is run by bureaucrats. Every little thing that ever happens in the universe requires paperwork and approvals, including dying. Nathan Haynes refuses to ever sign a contract even when he‘s shot dead by a serial killer. When he refuses to sign the waiver of liability required to go to a final resting place, he‘s sent back to live again, picking up where he left off. After multiple deaths, the bureaucrats come to earth to try to sneak ⬇️
I really enjoyed this #AtoZReadathon challenge, just 4 away from a full set! I'll tag my reads in the comments. It's been a great month with some fantastic reads. Thank you for hosting @Texreader
I‘m not the biggest Fallon fan, but this is a good #PictureBook for a quick story time for really young kids, especially for animal sounds and identification. It‘s also pretty basic. I‘m not completely in love with the illustrations either. I had hoped for more. #BBRC #LetterY
Nine books for May! It was very hard to pick a favorite book for May but if forced to, I‘d pick the tagged book. Followed by a tie between Queen of the South and Sea of Tranquility. Four books this month for #Spain #foodandlit. Two books for #authoramonth. Two for #readingOceania #Palau and #NewZealand and of course all of them for #litsyatoz but mostly for #letterQ and #letterY
An older woman (40) 🙄 (the “silver fox“) escapes the city life when her boyfriend cheats on her, moving into the #NewZealand‘s Alps. Turns out she‘s a handy carpenter turning a bus into a home until she can build her dream home. Neighbor problems-love affair/getting over ex boyfriend/disputes over easement/and the prospective loss of her view from her new home ensue. And some heat from that love affair. Well written, but not really my thing. ⬇️
