I heard a rumor that there is going to eventually be a 5 hour directors cut that pieces together the two movies to reflect the back and forth in time structure that‘s in the original book. Definitely interested in seeing that version!
I loved the new movie and definitely had a lot scares. The first one was slightly better, though, I think. The focus only on the kids lent it a special feeling. #LitsySeesIT

vivastory I also heard about an edition that would edit together both versions & I would watch the hell out of that. I have to say that I actually enjoyed chapter 2 slightly more, since it incorporated flashbacks to when they were kids it felt truer to the book. I also found it a bit creepier than chapter 1. Still loved both & they stand out as being really special King adaptations. 5y
Kimberlone @vivastory chapter 2 was definitely scarier! I just think that chapter 1 works better as a stand-alone movie than the new one. Have loved both and would be super stoked to watch a version that combines the two chapters 5y
vivastory I definitely agree that chapter 1 works much better as a stand-alone. I think anyone who hasn't seen chapter 1 or read the book would be pretty lost. 5y
