Hey Littens with old books!Anyone else obsessed with these things?I usually find them on titles 1920s to 1940s.Little stickers,smaller than postage stamps,identify where you purchased the book.You can tell with the top 2, some have perforated edges , the store could write the price then detach tab when purchased .I am happy to report as you all in Southern California know ,Vromans still exists. Hey, @LeahBergen ,do you have any?

Bookwomble Yes, I look out for these on my older purchases. One of the favourite things I've found in the pages of an old book is some bus tickets from the early '60s. 6y

Both of these books had the main character asking: #whereismymind - gas lighting, lies, voices in the dark, impossible sights, all drive the two MCs close to madness, or maybe over the edge.

Both of these book had me on the edge of my seat. I can't recommend them enough!

Suspenseful and uncomfortable this harrowing tale is ultimately undermined by lacklustre writing. The suspense itself is more in the heroine's discovery of the mystery and her safety than the actual mystery itself. Moreover, the ending appears too definitive and quick.

Kalalalatja @Cinfhen I wouldn't classify it as YA myself, it was way darker and more grown up than I had expected. It didn't feel like a typical YA novel to me, the writing style was also very different from any YA I have read. 7y

Library, bookstore, Amazon, thrift shop, etc. Where do you get your books and why? I mostly rely on the library to save space and money. I love buying books though, I can't lie!

QuothTheRavenclawNevermore I usually get them off of amazon, or from Barnes and Noble, and other various bookstores. I wish we had a second hand bookstore here! I would love to know of any cheap websites, too 7y

MyNamesParadise Usually Amazon, Barnes&Noble website, and even Target's website because they have great deals!! And I'm weird if a book is too used. 7y

I couldn't find a lot of #creepycovers on my shelfs. These two books are really creepy though, and I think the covers portray the eerie feeling of the books very well.

I liked both books a lot, and would definitely recommend them if you like books that make you question every thing you read 📚

Crazy book collector gets his wife locked up in a mental institution coz she sneaks a peek at one of his books. This wasn't quite what I was expecting. A bit fairytale-esque, bit creepy ... I wanted more of the mental hospital.
