Starting the audio book. My main complaint so far is the reader's voice for Saphira. Lol he makes her sound like an old lady 😂

I‘m rereading this series in prep for the new book just released from the World of Eragon: Murtagh. I absolutely adored these books when I first read them years ago and they hold up well in rereading. They are sort of Tolkien-light, but as long as you aren‘t a snob that‘s not a bad thing. I highly recommend the audiobooks narrated by Gerard Doyle. He does a magnificent job portraying these characters.
This was such a delight to reread in anticipation of the new Inheritance Cycle book Murtagh. Can‘t believe how well it holds up!
Reread of book 2 of #theinheritancecycle is complete. More worldbuilding in this one. Lots of details. It took me quite a while to get through it, though I enjoyed it.
I absolutely loved "Eldest" and the Inheritance Cycle holds a special place as one of my top five favorite book series of all time. Returning to this series after such a long time is always a delight for me. I cannot wait for the new book, & let me tell you, my excitement is bubbling hotter than a dragon's breath! Until then, I'll be practicing my ancient language skills & brushing up on my swordplay. Bring it on, Paolini!??️
I finished this today. What an amazing adventure. Does it have some elements of LOTR? Yes, but honestly so much fantasy does. It does not take away from THIS amazing story at all. Very well told/written. And that ending. Wowza! So glad I have the next book waiting already. I can't wait to see what comes next!
"It seems a cold world without something...more."
"On the contrary," said Oromis, "it is a better world. A place where we are responsible for our own actions, where we can be kind to one another because we want to and because it is the right thing to do instead of being frightened into behaving by the threat if divine punishment. I won't tell you what to believe, Eragon. It is far better to be taught to think critically......"
YES TO ALL OF THIS!
Happy Holiday to those who celebrate! Which is everyone here I assume. 📚 The tagged book is one of the six that I have in progress.

The continued saga of Eragon and Saphira in their fight against Galbatorix. The high fantasy genre is good for my kids who are advanced readers/listeners but not ready to move into older themes. Beatrix (7) does a great job of keeping track of complex plots and a large number of characters, and at being able to predict what may happen or what characters‘ motivations may be. Neither of us picked the ending of this though.
Only one question: WHYYYYY??????🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️

This book was off the charts FANTASTIC!!! It's been a while that a fantasy book has engaged me as much as this did. There are shadows of LOTR in the story, but those only added to the deliciousness if this feast. THE PLOT TWIST!!! WHAT!!! Y'all gotta read this (after Eragon, of course.) 5 stars and whatever else you can think of.
This book alternates between Eragon and his cousin Roran‘s POVs, which i really enjoy. It‘s about as good as the first, and i definitely liked the different POVs. Gerard Doyle does some pretty good voices for the #audiobook.
Even though i‘ve read this series a few times, i haven‘t actually read this book until now! It wasn‘t available at the library so i just went “eh” and picked up Brisingr. Everything makes a lot more sense now 😅.
I noticed that four of the jacket covers put together form the map of Alagaesia, which is pretty helpful. (And also looks cool, my crappy lighting doesn‘t do it justice!)

1. My daughter
2. Right before 🎃 Halloween...my favorite day of the year lol
3. I read Eragon YEARS ago, so I'm determined to finish this series!
@TiminCalifornia @Librarybelle @Zoe-h wanna play???
My personal favorite of the 4 novels that make up the Inheritance Cycle. Switching between multiple POVs, most insterestingly that of Roran, this book truly brought me into the pages to the action packed world of Alegaesia. My heart pounded and my adrenaline spiked reading this story as it never has for a book before, including my 2 favorite scenes of the whole series. I literally shouted while reading the fantastic culmination of all the POVs.
2nd book of the eragon series even more action pack then the first lots of battles you will not what to put this book down
Hello litsy friends! Just checking in. Reading, crocheting, and recovering from major spinal surgery! 2020 has been so crazy 😂 it my birthday and I‘m full of joy. Hope y‘all are well
This is a fantastic sequel to the novel Eragon. Unlike Eragon, it alternates between Eragon and Roran‘s, Eragan‘s cousin/adoptive brother‘s, perspectives. It follows Eragon‘s further training and Roran‘s journey throughout Alagaseia. The theme of this book is brothers, hence the title, Eldest, but I won‘t reveal anymore, for those who haven‘t had the distinct pleasure of reading this series. Generally for readers in late middle school and up.
Back covers of tagged book and All the Birds, Singing by Evie Wyld.

Couldn‘t find this in paperback! E-book shall do! So far loving the series! 😬 I love Saphira! 🐉
I am so enjoying this book so far, I‘m about half way through and still have about 450 pages left. It‘s the 2nd book in the Eragon series.
Meh.
Didn't like it like I did the last one.
One scene reminded me of the "Dualing Dragons" ride in Florida
Book 11 down.
Eldest is book 2 in the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini. Dragons, Elves, Dwarves, Magic, Imminent war. What more could you ask for?

Back to the world of Alagaesia. Time to continue your training Eragon and Saphira
I‘m almost done; only a little over two hours left of book 2. I should have read these YEARS ago! I love it so much, I can‘t wait to move on to #Brisingr 🔥 ♥️ 🔥 #eragon #inheritancecycle #eldest #christopherpaolini

Probably my favorite book from all four. I believe that it just has a great balance between Eragon and his cousin side of the story. And it was great to know about Brom and read about Eragon's training. Also, learning more about the elves and their culture was so beautiful thing to read.
I love when Arya does't accept Eragon's love. She knows what is important and she's had many years to understand that there is no need to rush into anything. Also, she may not have realized that she likes him too because she is a princess and she has to think rationally. There is a war and romance is not the most important thing in her mind.
My only book that had even a partial #GoldSpine and I haven‘t even read it, lol 😂 I really need to get around to finishing this series.

Re-reading alongside @scale-shark who hasn‘t read the Inheritance Cycle yet. I think this is the first high fantasy series that I read. A straightforward good vs. evil story. I enjoyed the chapters following Roran much more than I did the first time! Also loved the complete intro to the dwarf and elven cultures as well as the explanation of the rules of magic. Paolini describes chronic pain accurately, which is surprising for a young author. #bfls
Love the ways things are turning, I‘m anxious to read the third book and see how everything ends up.
@jenniferajanes I'm totally on board with this! 😂 Spread the word, Littens!! 📚📚📚
Reading by the Christmas lights. I‘m realllllllly hoping a I get a book light for Christmas 😂 my eyes need it.
Finally caught up on #jb letters tonight! Decorations are fully up, and the house is 3/4 unpacked! Huzzah! We might just be done in time to host Christmas!
Releasing the second book in the series, hoping I can cram them all in by the time the new book comes out 😂🤷🏻♀️
Ignore the ghost puppy 😂
Enjoyable, easy and exactly what I needed 😀
Some of my #shelves. I'm running out of space, but I love reading and being surrounded by books, so I don't think I'll ever go digital.
