I'm a big fan of Tessa Dare, she writes really fun, really sexy romances, and this one is one of her best.

I read these on vacation, they are absolutely adorable! I'm totally reading the heck out of these TD series!

Another book I couldn't put down. I really like Tessa Dare's romances and this is one of her best. The two leads have great chemistry and I loved how the marriage of convenience aspect developed here.

Not my usual fare. In fact, I've studiously avoided romance since I grew out of my high school Jude Deveraux phase, but after many people whose reading tastes I trust insisted I try some of the newer romances, I figured I ought, out of fairness, to give one a try. And it's fine. It doesn't feel true to the time period at all and is pretty boring in between the steamy bits, but for what it is, it's fine. Now I can resume ignoring the genre.

I have started reading the Girl Meets Duke series. I think they might be my first ever Mills & Boons 🤔☺️ Historical romance with great characters - I really enjoyed both books and I even laughed out loud. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

This book came as part of a mystery book order and I was unsure if I‘d I get on with it. There was parts i thought I could get into it but overall wasn‘t for me.

Since I am not usually a romance reader, I never imagined I would read a book like this until a friend and I did a fun book challenge where we chose books for each other. I came out on the winning end of the challenge because I had a ton of fun with this. The star quality of the book was the clever dialogue which was snappy, amusing and completely entertaining. This was enhanced by the excellent audio I listened to. I finished it in a day.🎧

The perfect book for me?!?! I think so!

A grumpy, emotionally constipated hero with a sad backstory and a smart, audacious down on her luck, but making it work heroine, just perfect. This book was funny, sweet and low angst. Breeches was a wonderful addition as well. I loved everything about this book and I‘m mad it took me so long to read it!

This one felt a little beauty and the beast-ish but boy I still enjoyed it.

Adorable Regency romance doing a beauty and the beast kind of thing. Cozy little read

So I adored this sweet, steamy, and genuinely funny regency romance. Regency romances are my guilty pleasure, and this was a delight! There was a broody hero, a sensible heroine, a marriage of convenience, a sassy butler, lots of banter, and moments that tugged at the heartstrings. Perfect escapist reading

Officially on the Tessa Dare bandwagon and kicking myself for not getting on earlier. She's HILARIOUS. The dialogue and repartee between the main characters was off-the-charts entertaining. I love me a grumpy Duke and a love interest that's more than his match.

I have several friends who are trying to get me into romances, and I don't know that I'm quite there yet but this was still pretty fun! Over the top, on purpose.

It‘s not often that I describe a romance as fun, but it‘s the best descriptor for this book. At times it‘s almost laugh-out-loud funny. Witty dialogue, unique characters, the best butler since Downton Abbey. And it‘s steamy, too. Really enjoyable. The high cocoa dark chocolate of brain candy 😄 Picture has nothing to do with the book, it‘s my beautyberry bush before I pruned it yesterday.

This was a recommendation in an article about romance novels in Sunday‘s Washington Post. It sounded like fun, so it‘s #nextup.

A promising start to the Girl Meets Duke series! I loved the story, but didn‘t love the 1st few sex scenes. Still, the author is funny, and is now my new favorite romance author ♥️

This is one of those stories that I enjoyed far more on the re-read than I did the first time around. Emma and Ash are both lovely, and Ash‘s wit constantly made me laugh. I love how practical-minded Emma is and loved how she continued to use her seamstress skills throughout the book. Also, Breeches. ❤️❤️❤️ #romantsy

I laughed out loud so many times! I forgot how utterly delightful and funny Tessa Dare was. This was exactly what I needed right now.

Don‘t have a lot to say about this book. It was great. I really liked Emma. She seemed to be really good for the Duke. I like how she pushed his buttons and didn‘t put up with his crap.

I‘m really excited to read the next one in this series. I read this one first because I was waiting for my hold to come in on Libby for The Governess Game.

Apparently this is my first Tessa Dare novel.

These are my favorite (open-door) romances I think I‘ve read in a long time! I enjoyed the regency setting along with the complex characters in all three books. (The Bride Bet comes out later this year.) What I enjoyed the least was the formulaic plot points; each book had the same type of meet/conflict/bonding/conflict/breakdown/commitment, etc. But these were well-written, complex, and clever.

Surprisingly funny and sweet take on Beauty and the Beast. Quick and thoroughly entertaining read. Loved the banter and communication between Ash and Emma, and the things they did to help each other heal and grow. Also liked getting to see the internal monologue of both characters. Enjoyed the scene with Emma‘s new friends and Ash‘s internal grumbling about his vegetarian sandwich (pictured). I‘ll definitely try another book in this series.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️/5 Not my usual genre but definitely kept my attention. Will probably continue to read her books for a light read.

Diving into the world of romance. Not sure why it‘s always been out of my comfort zone, but newly divorced, new life, new woman, feels like the time to try everything out and see what I like.

I will say I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It didn't get boring to me, it kept me entertained and it also made me laugh. I also thought it was sweet. Tessa Dare is an author that is new to me, but also one I am definitely going to read again

My first Tessa Dare and I‘ve enjoyed it! I liked the little humour she has plotted in though some not as smoothly done. Overall it was entertaining!

Emma and Ash have made a deal that she will give him a baby,in return she willwant for nothing.They make rules,he will come to her room at night unlessshe is sick until she is pregnantOnce she is pregnant she will have a house in the country to raise the child and won‘t have to worryabout money.Emmaover time break downhis walls.You see how words and looks cantear a person down so far that they isolatethemselves and think they areunworthy of love.

This didn‘t have the strongest start but made up for it later. I worried this was a scarred hero who needed to be saved by the love of a good woman, which is not my favorite romance trope, but it was better than that.

Emma is a seamstress, Ash is a duke. For various bad reasons they embark on a marriage of convenience but manage to fall in love along the way. Nicely steamy.

What was being a duke, if not arching a sardonic eyebrow?

Finished this book on a Sunday which seems fitting since this was about a Vicars daughter 😏 I knew it was going to be a good one if the author has to warn her dad about this many chapters... Bring on the steamy love scenes! But seriously, it was a great, simple, Beauty and the Beastesq story that warms your heart. If you need a little bit of uncomplicated love in your life, read this! 🥰♥️ #romance #steamy

Yay for #romantsy! I loved the historical romance panel at #BookCon2019 that @Beachesnbooks and I went to, moderated by Sarah MacLean. It was called Suffragettes, Sex Positivity, and Smashing the Patriarchy: Historical Romance as a Powerful Political Text. Not only did I also get to see the fabulous Tessa Dare on the panel, I saw several authors whose books I now want to read💞

Oh stars, have I ever found me an author I love reading!

Cute, sassy, funny seamstress is about to be homeless when a war wounded duke proposes a marriage of convenience. And Heir for him and security of her. Neither bargain on love. Just guess what they get!

This was a totally light, enjoyable historical romance and a quick read as well. I‘m a big fan of Tessa Dare on Twitter so have been meaning to read more of her books. This is my fifth read of vacation, and I‘m on the way to Boca Raton now - husband has a work thing and I‘m continuing my vacation in the meantime! #romantsy
