I loved the characters, esp. the DeFelice family; and the story was good. But damn did it drag on.

I enjoy Kristan Higgins books and read this one a few years ago. I loved the characters and the theme of conquering your fears and living life.
Emerson, Georgia, and Marley. Best friends since meeting at "fat camp" camp. Forever BFFS. Until Emerson tragically passes away leaving behind Georgia and Marley to carry on her wishes, to conquer the fears that they all had. For each of them, those fears would mean something different. From survivor's guilt to trying to live up to something you have no desire to be and no hope of achieving. As Marley and Georgia struggled (cont in comments)
A little light Sunday reading! After reading about darker subjects this month, I thought I‘d start summer with something easy breezy.
I‘m not usually someone who bails on books, but this is just not working for me right now. Maybe I‘m not in the mood for chick-lit so back to the library it goes
Recovering from surgery I had on Monday night. I had some complications and setbacks but I‘m doing pretty good now. Now to take it easy for 6 weeks. I‘m not allowed to do anything. 😩
Yesterday was the first day I had enough energy to read and I still didn‘t get much done. Going to try to fit in a little more today.
So far this book is really good. I think it is going to be pretty emotional. These ladies have already been through so much. ❤️
Evening reading in bed with a box of cereal...Saturday night done right.

Nope. I usually like Kristan Higgins‘ books but this was not one for me. I‘m not sure it is fat shaming, but it feels really close to it. After 3 chapters in, it just isn‘t something I want to spend my time with.
Cuddly dog, light reading, Chillhop on YouTube, blankets, snow on the ground, and hazelnut coffee. I couldn‘t invent a better Saturday morning.
Total bubblegum reading. But unlike most bubblegum books, I don‘t hate it. And it matches my manicure.
A tale of friendship and accepting yourself. Loved it. #2018 #readingchallenge #goodluckwiththat #kristanhiggins
I had a few books I bailed on this year. I chose the tagged book because I think I bailed the fastest on this one (I think I only read 2.5 chapters). What should have been a book on body positivity comes off as extremely uncomfortable and I believe unintentionally body shaming. #worstreads
Sweet book, that deals with a lot of issues that a lot of women deal with.
Met Kristan Higgins at Heart of ATX reading salon. She was just as funny as I thought she would be.
I start saying this saying I love Kristin Higgin‘s books usually. They are lovely sweet comfort reads for me. This is not that, it‘s a very tough, sad start to this book and I just can‘t continue. I won‘t be as critical as some other reviewers, because I cannot truly judge a book I don‘t finish. I also don‘t think the fat shaming is really what is happening, but is not the comfort read I was hoping for. #dnf
It has arrived! My 1st giveaway win! Thank you so much #4567blindgiveaway. Headed to the beach for the rest of the weekend and I‘m ready to dive in.
Ahh, why did I wait so long to read this! I should have known I'd end up loving this book. The way Georgia and Marley felt about their bodies resonates so much with how I feel about myself. The letters from Emerson pretty much ripped my heart out but they also gave me insight on what it feels like to have such a severe addiction. I loved this book and I can't wait to recommend it to my library patrons. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Just enjoying some reading while I wait for my car. I recently started Good Luck with That by Kristan Higgins as well as The President is Missing. All my ebook holds keep coming in at the same time 😂

Taken from information provided by the publisher: “A novel of compassion and insight, GOOD LUCK WITH THAT tells the story of two women who learn to embrace themselves just the way they are.”
Loved this book, loved these characters! So sad how other people‘s opinions can make people feel bad about who they are!!
I‘m really loving this book! A very hood book about insecurities and how other people‘s opinions of you can affect you!!
I still have this book that has been passed on between Litsy members (it was passed to me by @Lovesbooks87 ) and I would love to continue to pass it on! Check it out and if you are interested in reading it, let me know! 😁
I really enjoyed this book! You really connect with all the characters and feel for what they are going through. When Emerson passes away, she leaves her friends Georgia and Marley a list of goals they made together as teenagers. The book follows them on their journey as they try to accomplish the tasks. It is heartbreaking to read how they view themselves when they are overweight and it is easy to find yourself rooting for them in different ways!
Grabbing a snack and trying to finish this one up. I‘m really enjoying it!! This one was passed on to me so I would love to continue to pass it on when I‘m done...let me know if you‘re interested in reading this one!! It isn‘t even on sale until 8/7/18 😁 So far I have read 5 hours and 38 minutes in the #13inThree readathon!
🤣🤣 I love this because this is my life as a teacher. LOVE their stories and what they share ❤️
Starting this one tonight with a new bookmark and a Starbucks refresher ❤️ If anyone is interested in reading this one I‘d love to continue passing it along when I‘m done!! Let me know if you‘d like to read it!! @Lovesbooks87
This ARC was passed to @Lovesbooks87 and when she was finished she passed it on to me! Thanks so much for the adorable Wizard of Oz bookmarks and for sharing with me 😁 I can‘t wait to start this book! I would love to keep passing it along so if you are interested in reading it let me know!
This was not a type Kristan Higgins book. But I still loved it! Emerson, Georgia, and Marley have been friends since they met at a weight loss camp. When Georgia and Marley get the call that Emerson is on her death bed they rush to her side. Before she passes away she gives them an envelope to be opened when she dies. What they find inside is the list they made as teens with all the things they wanted to be but didn't because they were 👇🏻👇🏻
Came home to some awesome book mail. Thanks @Smangela for sending me the book and a cute notebook. Thanks again @Bostonmomx2 for sharing the book with us. If anyone is a fan of Kristin Higgins or wants to read this book just let me know and I will pass it along to you after I am done with it!
Oh I love this 😍
@Lovesbooks87 I‘m 79% done with Good Luck With That. I will do my best to get this in the mail as quickly as possible after I finish 😊
I‘m enjoying this one. At first, it felt completely unlike her other books, but as we progress I‘m seeing the Kristan Higgins-esque shine through here.
Just got the sad news that my great uncle passed away. They live across the country and I won‘t be able to go to the funeral. He never got to meet my son, we were planning a trip out in the fall. I‘m heartbroken and trying to escape into reading while I‘m here alone right now 💔
First, @Bostonmomx2 , you‘re a genius. I will now be wrapping all of my book mailing just in case of wet weather!
Second, I am so excited and am reading this next and then sending it on it‘s bookish way to you, @Lovesbooks87
Third, I have 30 minutes til my husband is home and I‘d have to share so I either need to Hoover this or hide it. Wish me luck ;)
Thank you again ♥️♥️♥️
New galley just showed up on my doorstep! Anyone read it? The cover is nice.
Yesssssssss!!!! Baseball season is here. Nothing I love more than a Dodger game on TV and reading during commercials. Only wish I could be at the game. 💙⚾️💙
