That feeling you get when you wake up at 2:30 AM realizing that while you voted by mail a few weeks ago, you didn‘t track your ballot was counted & download your digital #HiVoted sticker. 🤦🏻‍♀️ So done & done & lucky for me there were a few early access links still left for #AuldLangSpine (formally #NewYearWhoDis ) one of my favorite annual events at Litsy. #AuldLangSpine (formerly #NewYearWhoDis) is an annual, month-long reading event starting on January 1st.

When registration opens in November, you send me a list of your favorite reads from the past year. I play matchmaker & very intentionally pair you with another Litten (based on genre preferences, etc). I send you their list & you begin the new year by reading & reviewing books they loved in the previous year. It‘s a cost-free way to connect! ✨

monalyisha Hi, @Prairiegirl_reading 👋🏻! I haven‘t put the finishing touches on the sign-up form yet but I can tell you this: in previous years, the requirement has been between 5 & 20 books. I‘m thinking of upping the minimum this year (because if someone‘s read even 1 out of the 5, it doesn‘t leave them much to work with). Very likely, it‘ll be a minimum of 7. (edited) 1y

New This Year: Early Access! 🤩
Post a photo to Litsy AND email it to me at monalitsy@gmail.com showing that you voted in your local elections (or performed some equivalent, civic duty if outside the US) by 11/18. I‘ll send you an early access sign-up link to the #ALSpine registration form on 11/20!

Otherwise, #AuldLangSpine will open 11/25 at 8pm (EST).

Limits: 50 early access voters & 70 participants total!

monalyisha *Given the high interest, early access links will go to the *FIRST 50 LITTENS* who can show that they‘ve voted (or the equivalent if you live outside the US). If this number is reached, I‘ll be saving the remaining 20 spots for the 25th. I‘ll post again if we‘re nearing capacity. (edited) 1y

AllDebooks This sounds a fun way to interact. I volunteer for our local community groups Friends of Clowne and Plastic-free Clowne here in the UK. We regularly organise fundraising events and litter picks. Do they count as civic duty? 1y

But if you email me now, I‘ll be sure you send you an early access link to the sign-up form on the 20th. In the past, lists have needed to be between 5 & 20 books. I‘m thinking of upping the minimum this year, likely to 7. Good to get ready, though! Spots fill quickly once it does open! (edited) 1y

The most heartbreaking day today..... I had to say goodbye to my beautiful blue eyed Skippy #readingbuddy #dogsoflitsy ... 13 yrs young, a real sweetheart and a happy playful boy to the end.... I‘ll miss him so terribly, but am so grateful for every minute I got to be his mum.... 💔
