The Forgotten Room: A Novel | 
pickEnjoyable light historical fiction and family mystery. The novel follows three generations of women and their connections to an NYC mansion, and to the men that live(d) there. Mild complaints: there's a problematic doctor/patient relationship, and the FatedMates (TM) trope doesn't always work, but I liked this one overall.

pickThis book was so beautiful and reminiscent of Kate Morton. A beautiful tale of love and longing throughout three generations. I whizzed through this! It was honestly just so romantic and delightful!

Beatriz Williams, Lauren Willig, and Karen White work beautifully together as well as alone.
I have enjoyed the books they have collaboratively written as well as the books they write solo.
These two books were truly a masterpiece with no way to tell who wrote which part and FABULOUS story lines.
LOVED both books.
I understand there is a third one in the works. :)

Olive, Lucy, and Kate are the women. We learn about them in alternating chapters from 1892 to 1944 as the connection is hinted at it while we the reader try to figure out just how it all links together.

10 books this month which I'm extremely proud of 💪 I can't choose just one favorite. Saying farewell to the Raven series was bittersweet. Meeting Joe in You was enthralling and uncomfortable, reuniting with Chaol in Tower of Dawn was familiar and comforting. And my first foray into listening to Neil Gaiman's smooth accent in Stardust left me wanting more!

pickLoved this book. Historical fiction following three generation of women. There's a beautiful heirloom, a mysterious woman in a painting, and an old mansion that all play a part in a very Downton Abbey-esque read.

pickFrom my perspective, this was classic Beatriz Williams. Maybe that‘s because I‘ve never read anything by her two co-authors. It was a trick to figure out how those 3 women were connected. I loved this!
I‘ve been reading this book for over a week and this is all I have to show for it. I‘m actually enjoying it, I just think I‘ve officially lost steam and have hit my regular end of year slump. I‘m now on vacation, so I‘m going to try to power through this today to finally finish. 🤞🏻

The problem with finishing a book right before I leave for work is that I have to hopefully pick a new one that‘s good to start on the metro on my commute to work. Randomly chose this one from my last Book Outlet order, so here‘s hoping. 🤞🏻 I love Beatriz Williams, so I have faith I‘ll like it!
This is interesting so far! I'm about halfway. It tells of 3 women, and their connections to a room in the Pratt mansion. Olive in the 1890s, Lucy in the 1920s, and Kate in the 1940s.
I've read books by Williams and Willig before (but not White), and I keep trying to guess which author wrote which chapters!

pickThis book was bittersweet. For me, it started out a bit slow, but once I got into it, I couldn't stop reading it. Lauren Willig said at a book signing that even their editor had no idea which of them wrote which chapters. It was all written seamlessly, which I'm sure is difficult for three authors writing together to accomplish. The story had me totally emerged in the characters' lives. I will definitely be pondering this book for a while.
My #readinghabits usually involve one nonfiction book, one fiction in print, one book on kindle. I like to end my day with reading, and that usually involves at least one cat near me or on my lap. #jubilantjuly

pickOlive and Harry 😭 such a beautiful story. I love how each chapter made the previous one make more sense. Beatriz Williams has yet to disappoint. I have two more to read by her. Can anyone recommend a similar author?

pickNot a bad summer read. Fast and predictable- though with enough of a twist that the reader doesn't get it quite right. 3 1/2 stars, and while it isn't one I'd keep on my own shelves, I'd recommend for something light.
A quick read before my next round of holds at the library becomes available. Liking it so far.

bailedMore like the forgotten book. 5 chapters in and I just couldn't find myself caring about any of it - characters, story, house, setting, writing. Life is too short to read books that don't grab you.
