I mostly enjoyed this, but, if the sheriff of Tracy‘s hometown had just told her what was going on, nothing would‘ve played out the way it did. But then we‘d have no story, so I guess his secrecy was a necessary plot point. #audiowalk

I really dislike Tracy‘s captain. They had a bad relationship from when Tracy went to the police academy. He was an instructor and groped her; she broke his nose. Completely appropriate reaction on her part, in my opinion. I think I know where the plot is headed; we‘ll see. #audiowalk
I‘d started this book when I was on Dauphin Island one day. Since I finished Sense and Sensibility, I decided to continue it on my #audiowalk. It‘s getting a little warm down here; I guess spring is leaving us soon. 😞
For some reason, Hoopla never works on Dauphin Island, so I listened to My Sister‘s Grave, which was already downloaded in Audible. I‘ve only read one Robert Dugoni book before, a novella about the main character in this book. I liked it, and this one is starting out interesting. #audiowalk
I have had the first three books in this series on my kindle for awhile. I finally read this first book it was good. Tracy Chrosswhite is a good protagonist. In this book the body of her sister is found 20 years after she went missing. Because of the circumstantial evidence presented at the first trial, she thinks the wrong man went to jail. The second half of the book becomes a courtroom drama. I had fun reading it and the ending was surprising.
Tracy Crosswhite is a badass detective 🕵🏻♀️
Reading this backlist book in preparation for tomorrow‘s author event!
#AdventuresByTheBook #SuperBookIV
First time reading this author and will not be my last. This is the first in a series featuring the character Tracy Crosswhite a detective with the Seattle police department. I just happened to stumble upon the first book and glad I did. If you like legal thrillers I definitely recommend! Kind of like a John Grisham of the West Coast!
My current book haul at the free lending library‘s in town. This this will keep me busy for a bit 😁 Currently reading My Sisters Grave…any suggestions on what to read next?

Devoured in 2 evenings. That is my rating. This was another very successful Amazon prime free pick. Tracy's little sister disappeared. Is she ever going to find out the truth? Why are those who should be on her side fighting her every step of the way? No down time while reading this, it kept me locked in.
Overall Rating 4⭐ | Narration 😁 = Very Good
The narration was quite good and the MC is likable, the story did get a little tedious at times and sometimes it was difficult to keep track of what timeline the story was in. But overall, not a bad start to a series. This whole series has 7 books and counting for me to sink my teeth into. I‘m intrigued enough by this first book to continue the series.
Finishing this one up tonight. It kept me on my toes! Should I keep reading the series? Are the rest as exciting and multilayered?
I don't know where the last month went. The last time I posted we were having a snowstorm with a power outage. Today I sat out on the porch in the sun. It was a lovely 60 degrees. The daffodils are blooming. Spring is just around the corner. I'll do my best to check in more often...geeze! How's everyone doing? ❤️🌼
Trying to reach my reading goal a lot quicker this year!! 9 of 35
Finished this one tonight. Though, I did figure it out before the end, it was still very well written. Might consider the next in the #series.
📚LET'S PROMOTE READING AND OUR LOVE OF BOOKS!📚
I accepted this challenge to post the covers of books that I love for 10 days. No explanation. No criticism or reviews. Just the covers. Each day, I am going to ask a friend to take up the challenge (only if you want to).

I couldn‘t wait until the #bookspinbonanza tomorrow! After a chunky classic, I was craving a page-turning thriller and this is perfect. I need to go ahead and request the rest of this series because I can‘t put it down! @TheAromaofBooks Maybe #7 will be picked first? 🤞🏼
When Tracy‘s sister Sarah‘s remains are found 20 years after her disappearance, Tracy vows to find the truth at any cost. “It is better that ten guilty men go free than one innocent man be wrongfully convicted.”

This week I could focus more while listening to audio when cooking, decluttering, doing dishes.
Abandoning Library Book for now- April would be month #3.
This was between a so-so and a pick for me. It seemed like all the thriller stuff came right at the end. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this cover though. #54 #2019
This is the first book I had read by Robert Dugoni. I loved everything about this book, the story, the characters, the mystery, and the ride he takes you on. The main character Tracy Crosswhite is a strong relatable female lead character. I can‘t wait to read the rest of this series. #mysistersgrave #robertdugoni #thesuspenseisthrillingme #bookworm #kindleunlimited
This wasn't for me. An #unpopularopinion, but I found this limp, cheesy, and riddled with cliches.
Started last night at midnight, worked all day and finally got to come home and read! I don‘t want to put it down!
Got this book yesterday and I am already half way. I am glad I am finding books I can‘t put down.. yay
It‘s been a lovely relaxing day of reading (and eating and drinking) for #24B4Monday. I did manage to get a 4 mile walk in. This mystery, first in a series, has been a good choice for my second book of the weekend.
Starting this next on #primereads I really really love this cover.
If this is my husband at lunch (left), then I will be reading this at lunch (right).
My husband and I get to sleep in recliners all week. We ordered a new bed, got a call last night saying it would be delivered today. Old bed out, new bed at the warehouse until Friday. Some paperwork mix up is going to make my week very long. #sleepinginachairsucks
Very good book. Some parts I felt were kind of, eh. The ending hyped up really fast and I was unable to put it down.
My library room in my new house, waiting for household goods to arrive before we repaint and get some new bookshelves going!
Good book. I felt the ending was a bit of a let down though. I expected more intrigue.
Starting this now!
Downloaded this book for free with my Kindle Unlimited subscription. I‘ve never read his work before, but I‘m already digging the writing style. I wish he‘d made the court scenes shorter, but otherwise, I can‘t stop reading. 9/10 recommend and I‘ll be reading the next book in the series!
I felt like I was watching an episode of Law & Order SVU! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Loved this book! I love detective novels (I have also nearly finished the Women‘s Murder Club books by James Patterson), and this was excellently written. I would give it 4/5 stars (only docking a star for slight predictability). I read these 410 pages with ease, and can‘t wait to read the rest of the books in this series.
11 pm and my first 5 minutes alone all day long! I definitely don't finish books as often as I used to, but I did get to enjoy a rare Saturday off with both munchkins and my mom today.
And I just heard Hubbs pull in, so it will literally be my only 5 minutes to myself all day. 😂❤👨👩👧👦
Had the privilege of doing a full day writers intensive masterclass with Bob Dugoni today at #thrillerfest. He is a thoughtful, direct and inspirational instructor. If you ever get a chance to study with him, take it.
It was only made better by having the talented Sandra Brannan in our class.
So so good! Detective fiction and legal thriller. First in a series, so I‘m onto novel 2.
I don‘t usually read a series but this looked too good to pass up.
I signed up to take a writing course with this gent and thought I should read some of his work before then! This book makes it obvious why he is the cornerstone of Thomas and Mercer. Great characters and pacing ,settings that come to life and a classic murder case come together to make one hell of a book. There will be more Dugoni in my future.
