My October stats. The holidays are coming which means Christmas reads so I'm expecting vastly different numbers in a month lol.
My average time to finish is skewed because it took me so long to finish the newest Robert Galbraith novel, a #chunkster at over 900 pages. #chunksterchallenge2024

Fantastic! May be my favorite of her so far. I‘m not even really a fan of police procedurals but French does it better than anyone! #BookspinBingo #AAM #authoramonth @TheAromaofBooks @Soubhiville #chunkster

Wow! Powerful, stark, brutal, brilliant. This #chunkster shares a glimpse of Jamaica in the 60s-70s from multiple perspectives: a ghost, gangsters, journalists, the CIA, and a woman with various identities, following the story to NYC in the 80s. An epic examination of the impact that governments, criminals, and artists can have on a community that is just trying to get by. Dark and upsetting but worth it. #BookspinBingo @TheAromaofBooks

Absolutely fantastic! This epic story will have me thinking for years to come. A real #chunkster , this story follows generations of families from India and Ireland, a community dealing with Leprosy and other challenges, and Doctors called to serve their people with empathy and grace. Wonderful on #audio, Verghese delivers another world class novel worth every minute of your time. #BookspinBingo @TheAromaofBooks

2. I also finished reading my #chunkster, Kingdom of Ash. So good! But sooo long!
3. Hubby is doing well enough that we booked a week at the beach on Sanibel Island for next month 😄
4. Beautiful flowers on our walks this week.
5. Singing a beautiful new-to me-song.

I hope everyone has had a joyful week!

I finished Titanium Noir in a day, so I decided to take on this #chunkster It‘s definitely slower reading, but I‘m intrigued enough to continue!

Each year I try to read a huge classic..a masterpiece! This year it‘s War and Peace, and I‘m only 200 pages in and reading about war which is not usually something I enjoy. But I love Tolstoys writing. I love learning about Russian history. I‘m alternating reading and sewing my latest project❤️

While a bit long winded, I really enjoyed this second book in the series, even more than the first. The characters continue to grow and the complicated relationships and world building is compelling. I love seeing how all the various communities have formed and the ways they are different and alike. And the intrigue, Im all about the intrigue! She is a #chunkster and I counted her as 2 squares for #BookspinBingo @TheAromaofBooks
