1st book of May is finished! I started this one a few months ago and lost interest about 1/3 in, but my daughter persuaded me to give it another go as it gets better after Part3. Well, she was right! Robin is sent undercover to a cult accused of brainwashing people but finds a much darker story. Reminded me a lot of both Scientology & David Koresh at Waco. Recommend. #SeriesLove2024

Hooked!!! No idea why it took me this long to finally start Bosch🤦🏻‍♀️ As different as the two are, I loved the book as much as I did the Amazon Original Series.

I don‘t usually read “bodice rippers”, but really liked the Lady Sherlock series and I wanted to try other books by her. WARNING: even though it‘s set in the 19th century, it‘s a very salacious book. #ReadAway2024 #SeriesLove2024 I‘m not sure what I was expecting. It was more violent than I expected. The sacrifices made by the characters were interesting. And there were surprises about characters who became allies and their reasons for doing so. This is currently is free on Audible. The other books in this series are free until 5/31.

Third of 3 books about Kristina Snow and addiction. This one holds the voices of her 3 older children: Hunter, Autumn, and Summer. These 3 live with different guardians and have different last names. Two more, boys under 13, live with Kristina‘s mom. Her children are troubled and angry, fearful and psychologically empty. Shows how addiction and abuse affects family and friends.

#ReadAway2024 #SeriesLove2024 This charming YA novel was quite enjoyable. This is free on Audible until 5/16. The mean girl was mean but I guess there‘s always a mean girl in YA. The second and third books will continue to be free on Audible for the foreseeable future.
