Getting ready for this lovely stand alone to release tomorrow! So far I am enjoying the world and the characters.

Had to bring this doormat back for today too. (By Damn Good Doormats)
HAPPY HOBBIT DAY! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BILBO AND FRODO! HAPPY 80 YEARS TO THESE AMAZING TALES
This one was absolutely fun to read. It's spooky, but not too spooky and it's full of good themes like love, family, friendship, and loyalty. I also loved all the humor. Prosper and Alastor have great dialogue and it's mega Halloween vibes. Highly recommend to young readers and those who love Middle Grade!
Adam Silvera's event last night was so much fun. So much positive energy and great comments based on questions by Sabaa Tahir. Great night, great author, great books. (I couldn't make my face smile normally from the laughing so all the pictures ended up like this, which I honestly love better than anything else)
Happy Book Birthday to this awesome sounding, fantastical story featuring the Bronte siblings! I love Middle Grade and am really looking forward to reading this. Especially since everyone raves about how magical Valente's writing is!
Counting down to my top anticipated releases this Tuesday since there are so many good ones coming out! I love Adam Silvera! I met him for the first time at BEA this year and he was so fun even though I was so awkward. Haha. If you knew you were going to die in 24 hours, what would you do on your last day?
This month Book of the Month challenged reps and subscribers to show their reading spot/reading life with their favorite September BOTM selection! I always read on my bed or my couch. I have a harder time reading out of the home. Grab me a snuggle Pug, a good book, some tea, and I'm set
Well y'all. Today is the day #19yearslater we go #backtohogwarts for Albus Severus Potter's first day of first year. 😭😭😭 All was well.
My Parnassus Next box arrived yesterday! Next month's signed first edition shipment will be Kristin Cashore's, "Jane, Unlimited", so I'm looking forward to that. Can't wait to read this one. I love the synopsis.
I'm usually not one for romance, but this story about a Japanese diplomats daughter falling in love with a son of German born parents in an intermittent camp shortly after Pearl Harbor has me interested. Also, the cover is stunning. Can't wait to read this.
I have just read a few pages of this, but right off the bat you see what the synopsis means when it talks about walking the line between love and obsession! Really looking forward to diving into this one. Has anyone read it? Did you enjoy it?
Finally did my LitJoyCrate #dropcaplikeitshot photo challenge with the letter C. I love Carry On and this is one of my favorite quotes (among many) from the book.
This book is my jam! Filled with beautiful illustrations and fun and quick facts on the many different animal relationships (from friendly to horrible) I honestly loved every page of this information filled read. I love animals and it's fascinating to read how they coexist.
Absolutely loved this read! This is probably one of my favorite retellings ever. I thought all the nods to the original tales were clever and I enjoyed the focus on the mother-daughter relationship. Highly recommend!
One of my favorite books ever is The Serpent King and I love this beautiful quote rejacket for the paperback! If you haven't read this one yet, I highly recommend!
Another day, another fictional birthday I celebrate 😂😍 Happy Birthday, Seaweed Brain.
This Storiarts Anne shirt is amazing. One quick glance and you might miss the details, but look closer!
I haven't been to Ireland, but it's a dream of mine to go. So I always love when it's the setting for a book. This is apparently a trilogy and this is book two. It's my understanding you can read them as stand alones. Can anyone confirm this?
I thought this was going to be a scary creepy thriller, but was (relieved) to find it wasn't. You know right out the gate that Oliver has beaten his wife into a coma and we spend the following chapters alternating between people who knew Oliver as they share their experiences with him over the years until the final reveal of why he beat his wife. I was a little meh about the reveal, but I did like the journey and the voices.
I loved this book so much. So many great lines, humor, characters, messages, themes... Leigh Bardugo is a favorite of mine and I loved the life she brought to Diana.
I had a hard time deciding between "pick" and "so-so" for this one because on one hand it gave me major Raven Cycle vibes (creepy and magical) and the writing was beautiful and I was interested. On the other hand it didn't totally deliver for me. It's one of those weird books you like and don't totally like at the same time. Although I do say it's the perfect Fall or Halloween read for sure.
I think I show promise as a chalk artist. Hah. Described as a humorous satire, retelling Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None, I think this one sounds like it could be a fun read.
I have read five thrillers in the last months, which is super uncommon for me. I'm a big a wimp and shy away from them ruining my life. Haha. But I keep adding more to my TBR cause the thrill is kind of addicting. Has anyone read this one yet? I've heard some mixed reviews. Worth checking out?
We need more steampunk, or maybe I'm not looking in the right places. But I am looking forward to this one based on some things I read about the authors research for this beauty.
I know summer is coming to a close, but I'm still sneaking some beachy type reads into my TBR. I remember buying my first little black dress and am looking forward to reading this!
Loved this finale to a great trilogy of hilarious, detail filled drama! These books will make you wish for designer clothes and make your mouth water at all the food. I have loved following this family around for three very drama filled books! (Book 1: Crazy Rich Asians and Book 2: China Rich Girlfriend)
Happy Book Birthday to this gorgeous thing. I've been hearing some really great things about this one. The reviews I've read have described it at as a magical slow burn. I've also not read a book set in Peru, as far as I can remember, so I'm excited for a new setting!
I had the opportunity to sit down with The Glass Castle author, Jeannette Walls yesterday to talk a bit about her upcoming film based on her memoir in an IG stories style interview. If you want to check it out, you can see her responses in my IG stories today!
“'Anyway—Harry,‘ said the giant, turning his back on the Dursley‘s, ‘a very happy birthday to yeh. Got summit fer yeh here—I might sat on it at some point, but it‘ll taste all right.
From an inside pocket of his black overcast he pulled a slightly squashed box. Harry opened it with trembling fingers. Inside was a large, sticky chocolate cake with Happy Birthday Harry written on it in green icing"
I was sent the Boxwalla "Forgotten Women" series subscription box for review and I have to say it was a lovely experience. It included Katherine Mansfield's Garden Party as well as a box of shortbread by Unna Bakery. The cookies were high quality and delicious and the card with facts about Mansfield included some really interesting info. Love this sub box series they are doing and thought the experience was stellar.
I really enjoyed (and was creeped out) by the first half of this book, but the second half just felt too long and the plot felt more crowded than complex and there were things thrown in that just felt extra to me. Over all I think if you're into cult culture, secret societies, and need a summer thriller, this might be your thing.
I LOVE books about food, and this one sounds fascinating. This one delves into the lives of six women (from history or currently living) and talks about how the food they bought, ate, and entertained with reveals a lot about her. Very interested in reading this!!
I received Aftercare instructions in my June Parnassus Next box, and even though it's on the controversial topic of abortion, Parnassus has really earned my trust with always picking a solid book and I can't wait to read it. It is also getting great reviews on Goodreads. I think the world needs books like this and am looking forward to getting to it soon.
The first half of this is slow build up, setting all the information out there and then it gets crazy. I was pretty sure I had this thing figured out until I didn't. I admit that the ending reveal wasn't my favorite and felt totally out of nowhere, but overall this read freeeeeaked me out. Double checking my locks every night and never answering the door unless I am expecting someone's. Haha.
I really enjoyed reading about Leaf reading and a bit about how it's done and the interpretation of the symbols in this novel. I loved the protagonist, even though I thought the other characters were a bit flat. It's a quick read for anyone j to divination! I really wish it had been longer! I would have loved to read more
Loved this fast paced middle grade read. Thought it was perfect for young and older Middle Grade readers and am really looking forward to the next book!
I have been hearing amazing reviews on Bianca Marais' debut and I can't wait to read it myself. I heard Bianca talk about her real life experiences that inspired this story when I saw her speak at a Putnam event back in March and I am looking forward to reading its translation into her fiction.

I love a good paperback rejacket. This new cover for The Lovely Reckless is one of my favorites this year! 😍😍😍I enjoyed this read and the new direction Kami Garcia is going. Looking forward to what she has next.
I'm the girl who hates the ocean, but loves to read about it. Ha. Experiencing something that terrifies me in a safe environment in my jam. Haha. Has anyone read The Shark Club yet?
I'm not usually a romance reader, but my friend Ursula got me started in KA Tucker, and I've enjoyed every book of hers that I have read. I have heard this one is a sweeter story than Tucker's usual, and I'm looking forward to it as one of my summer reads! And thanks to the Beaulitful Buzz team for sending me the fun summer package!
I hadn't heard of this series until this lovely landed on my doorstep (book two in the Adventures of Arabella series) but it's a sci-fi, steampunk, regency read, and well... I'm basically sold. Ha.
I've got a fun fandom doormat giveaway running on IG for the next week if you want to check it out over there!
After a week without my phone or internet access I really had some eye opening moments on how constantly being connected affects my life and personality. Looking forward to reading TOUCH about a girl who sees a movement in society to focus on human experiences.
Glombox #2 is live! This isn't a subscription, it's a sweepstakes box! So you have to enter to win it. There will be ten winners for this box of summer reads and a pair of See Eye Wear sunglasses ($99 value glasses) just hit up this link to enter:

Despite a wide range of mixed reviews on this beauty, the cover and synopsis are enough that I can't turn it away. Ha. Some times the more mixed the reviews are, the more excited I am to read a book. I like seeing where I fall on the rating scale.
Although I'm not a huge fan of the sea, I do like reading about it. My husband's favorite book is Moby Dick and we have a lot of books on sailing, whales, and different Moby Dick retellings or related reads. I like the mystery element in this one and am looking forward to reading it!
Finally bought a copy of the Puffin in Bloom Alice! I just adore these covers!
Ever since I read The Raven Cycle, I‘ve been seeking out similarly themed books, so I‘m excited to see what book will be included in the June LitJoy Deadly Diviners crate. So far we know there will be a large item from @bluebirdteaco, a teacup planter, and all the art will be done by @ohcapristudio! The June “Deadly Diviners” crate is only on sale until June 20th, and they have sold out of every crate this year so far, so don‘t wait!. .
