The Hurricane

Tropical Storm Nate is supposed to hit us as a hurricane. My university is closed through Monday, so I‘m hunkering down and reading. I‘m glad it‘s not supposed to be anything more than a category 1 because that path is right through my city.

I'm my aunts case, she had an open invite as soon as we saw where it was headed. And she's not working so could have come up here at any point. 7y

EchoLogical @Debiw781 I left yesterday and met my husband in NC. I didn't think anything would really come of it but honestly, I got tired of my family harassing me. The stress of it all has really gotten to me and I've had a headache for literally the past week. How are you holding up? 7y

Don't worry, we are vividly aware of the real damage this storm is causing and will be taking actual precautions for safety. But, really, I'm not going to pass up a chance to hit the bookstore.

AmandaL I can't believe it's open! Our Starbucks closed on Thursday, and everything else closed last night. Out of 5 gas stations, only one had any gas left, as of this morning, and there was a long line. Be safe! 7y

What a #toughtuesday! Started my day with active shooter training at 8 a.m. where a city police officer played audio from the library of Columbine High and video from a shooting at a Bay Co. School board meeting. Then my garage door broke and wouldn't open. To top it all off #Irma might be making its way to the gulf coast. I'm done with this day. Sending good vibes to everyone in Irma's path. Thank y'all for your well wishes.
