Setting up my January reading list for #BookSpinBingo maybe this will be a more successful year for Bingo‘s. 😅

The #FairyTaleRetellingChallenge has #SnowWhite up first, so I plucked this one that has been long languishing on my TBR. It‘s a retelling that sticks close to the source material- but the extras, like dual-hearted dragon/human shifters and some creepy battles give it an original twist. I wish there was more character development but the nonstop action doesn‘t leave much room. The series continues and hopefully more world building goes with it…

The book jar has picked my next read. I don't know if it's magic or luck that I keep getting fairy tale retellings. Or maybe it's just the fact I have so many of them 😅 my next read until my dear friend @curiouserandcurioser pick our buddy read that I'm looking forward to. A YA Snow White retelling. It was different, morbid in someway but interesting. I enjoyed in general but I don‘t know why some authors insist to unnecessarily prolongue a story. Do they have to meet a certain amount of pages to publish a book? I don‘t matter if the books is long when the purpose is to know more the world or the characters but this was not the case. But I enjoy this author‘s retellings. 3.4⭐️

4.8⭐️ it‘s like Snow White meets Game of Thrones… The YA version. It was funny, and sweet, and tragic and powerful and it had dragons. I loved it and while this story is over I‘ll probably continue with the series. #fairytalereading

What the heck… how come I have never read this book before. I haven‘t even made it to the first chapter and I‘m hooked… How does that even happen? I‘m just saying, after that prologue this book has a lot to live up to. #fairytalereading

I‘m excited to participate in the #fairytalereading challenge hosted by @Charityann - January is going to be Snow White! I‘m reading the tagged book and I‘m also going to start the Fables comic series which has a great Snow White character. Will also be watching some adaptations as well. Should be fun!

I love retellings of fairytales. This one reminded me of a few but with an added twists. This princess was no damsel in distress. Lorilei was independent & intriguing. She is a force to go against and I can‘t wait to see what happens. Plus I get read more about Kol...the dragon you can‘t help but adore!!!!

I was amazed and sucked in with ever swipe of my ebook. ( doesn‘t have the same feel as turning the page of an actual book, does it?)

This wasn‘t very memorable. 😬

Went on a reading spree this weekend and finished three of the Ravenspire novels: Shadow Queen, Wish Granter, and Traitor Prince. Traitor Prince was my favorite, but they were all fun reads!

Strong females, sweet romance, and a new twist on well loved stories. You can‘t go wrong with these if you enjoy fairytale retellings.

I am surprised by the low % on this title because I found it to be a delightful YA retelling of Snow White with an awesome map, an amazingly vivid apple scenario, a fantastic twist on dragon magic, and the requisite plucky heroine and romance were endearing (and not annoying). A retelling that felt fresh. What else do you want? A definite enjoyable read if you like good winning over evil.
You may not look at 🍏🍎 quite the same way again though 😁

Some maps really get me more excited than others.

Okay C.J. Redwine- I see you! If you are into YA fantasy, Redwine's retellings are great and I cannot wait to read the next one! This novel is a Snow White and the Huntsmen retelling and our "Snow White" is a fierce warrior who will do anything to save her Kingdom.

I read this book after it was recommended on the #heyya @bookriot podcast. I had totally misjudged it by its cover (it looks super middle grade to me.) I really liked it. I enjoy retold fairy tales and this one has some great twists. I especially enjoyed that even the “evil” character had some depth. I switched between reading and audio depending on my mood. Hvam is a great performer, but she got a little overly dramatic on this one.

HOW WAS THIS WRITTEN BEFORE THE FORCE AWAKENS?!?!? Ohmygod I loved this book! Don‘t get me wrong, it‘s a straight up ya retelling of Snow White but the ROMANCE UGH I LOVE IT 👌👌

This was a really fun read. And a brilliant idea for an author to take these classic stories and re-work them. The dragon aspect was great - an all around enjoyable getaway. My favorite kind of book...❤️🤓 This was my choice for Fairytale Re-telling for #Booked2019 #welldone #greatread

I finished this on my lunch break. I really enjoyed it. From the great the cover art 🍎 to the fantastic magic system, this book kept me interested the whole way through. I wish it had been a little less #YA teen angsty, but overall a satisfying retelling of Snow White. Plus...DRAGONS!!!🐉 🐉 🐉

I finished 13 books last month. My favorites were The Long Walk, The Dead Zone and The Anomaly. They were all at least three stars so it was a good month 😺

Know what?! I didn't hate this! I actually got a lot of Once Upon A Time vibes which is exactly what I wanted! Also, why did no one tell me there's dragons in this book?!

In hindsight.... I should have brought more books if I was gonna finish a great book like this in like 4 hours....

I liked this book it was good, the only thing I didn‘t like was that it had a fairy tale setting with princesses and dragons. I would of liked if the author did more as a realistic atmosphere.

Lol I know it a YA read but I love retell of stories no matter how old I am. I just hate that it take me so long to get through the first 10 chapters to really get into it! :(

Everything a fairytale should be with a strong princess/heroine......one that breaks the stereotypes. Retelling of Snow White with ogres, dragons, and an awesome twist on the apple element. Excellent read!

The book was great except for her "revival".
