Great month! But I have a lot of summer books going back on the shelf until next year. Something to look forward to!

Can‘t wait for the Netflix series with Nicole Kidman and Liev Schreibner! One of the last Elin books to check off my list before I‘ve read them all! This one brought me back in the beginning to PA and my favorite spots!
This was a well told, good mystery. I enjoyed going from present to past, and the detectives interviews with each character to learn what happened from different perspectives. Somewhat stereotypical characters in terms of social class with values and norms that reflect the stereotype. First time reader of this author, would read more of her books.
#20in4
Make a great day everyone. 🙂
Readjusting my reading goals from earlier in the month and making a realistic goal for #20in4 - finish tagged book (the other 3 books I've started most likely will be September #BookSpinBingo carry overs) -
Thanks for hosting @Andrew65 -
Make a great day everyone 🙂
"The Otis-Winbury wedding promises to be an event to remember . . . But it's going to be memorable for all the wrong reasons after . . . a body is discovered in Nantucket Harbor . . . and everyone in the wedding party is suddenly a suspect."

Not really a mystery, still a beach read that just has a murder investigation as the method for unfolding the plot. I like this author for fun, summer reads.
First week back at work has me all out of sorts with the reading schedule I got so accustomed to! Hoping to continue a steady pace while coming into my busy season advising 3 after school extracurriculars! Fingers crossed 🤞🏼📚 #bookspin #doublespin #bookspinbingo #roll100
And I thought COVID cancelling my wedding was a bad situation. I was wrong, it could have been worse... for so many reasons.
I really enjoyed this one.
I'm really curious about who chooses the covers of her books. They never really match the story.

Some light reading from my recent book purchase at ThriftBooks.com!
My library patrons LOVE Elin Hilderbrand, so I decided to try one of her books this summer. What I expected: light beach reading set on Nantucket. What I got: murder mystery and a cast of compelling characters with secrets. This was a fun read, I'll definitely try more of this author's books.
Another fun read, a murder-mystery. Celeste and Benji are supposed to marry, but the maid of honor is found dead that morning. What happened? I did not figure out the ending until the ending happened, which was explained in the last 2 or 3 pages. I would‘ve liked a little more, just to wrap a few things up. But overall I‘d recommend!
There‘s a pile of characters in this one with some superfluous to the story. On the other hand, it seems I shouldn‘t crack open an Elin Hilderbrand book without being prepared to physically map out the characters. And I didn‘t solve the mystery, until it was handed to me in the last pages, so yea, a pick :)
This is my second Elin Hilderbrand book in 2 weeks. I am so in love with her writing. She gets you so invested in the characters and has you rooting for couples that in real life you typically wouldn‘t root for. She keeps you entertained with her romantic magical stories. And I‘m not one for romance, you know that. 💫
Could not put down the book - every detail left me thirsty for more. The lives of the Winburys is filled with drama.

The Perfect Couple is only my third book by this prolific young author. It won‘t be my last either. I didn‘t like it as much as the Winter in Paradise trilogy, though.
This is great if you can‘t decide whether to bring a mystery, romance or family drama to the beach because it‘s got a bit of each. But in not choosing among these, the book isn‘t quite as strong plot-wise as it could be. Still delivers on the summer feeling!
Double #bookspinBINGO!
I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this one. The same lovely Nantucket setting as you‘d expect from a Hilderbrand novel, but an interesting sort-of mystery and all kinds of drama surrounding a wedding. A fun beach read and a solid 4 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
#bookspin finished. I was sucked in and read the first half in one evening, but by the end I wanted to throw it across the room. This was my first by her. I think I want to try another before I abandon her altogether. @TheAromaofBooks
The cover and title of this book was so deceiving! I picked this because I thought it was a light beach read but it turned out to be a somewhat steamy murder mystery that had me guessing til the very end! Five stars! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
@Reagan when I couldn‘t decide on my next tbr book I went shopping. My logic totally makes sense to me. And I was very unsuccessful in sneaking them into the house without my hubby noticing.
Another great #NewYearWhoDis pick from @Hestapleton 👏👏
This is a light and fluffy whodunnit that would make the perfect beach read. A lot more enjoyable than I had expected it to be and easy to follow how all the different characters are connected. I do think the ending was a little anti climactic but still a quick and enjoyable book that was just what I needed to make it through the work day
Not feeling work today so it's a filing and #audiobook day
Going to get into this #NewYearWhoDis pick and see how it goes. I haven't had a bad book from this batch yet so I have high hopes!
@monalyisha @Hestapleton
A mystery, romance, and love story to Nantucket all rolled into one. This is not a typical choice for me, but it was a good mystery with an ending that I didn‘t like but made perfect sense in the context of the story. Overall a good, quick, easy read. 👍🏻. #24B4Monday. #teamslaughter
There‘s a #DestinationWedding and a murder mystery at the heart of this book. It was a fun summer read for me last year. #LetsTravelAugust
A co-worker recommended this book to me recently and I figured I‘d give it a try! I got it from the library since it‘s the first Elin Hilderbrand Book I‘ve read. It was definitely an easy read, page turner, beach read type of book, but I prefer something a little more suspenseful. I got to the end and thought, all that for this ending?! // #librarybook #bookreview #fiction
This book kept me interested the whole time. Helped me get out of my reading slump!
You definitely don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to see 90% of the twists coming from a mile away. Not a bad book, I think I just prefer Hilderbrand's usual flavor of beach read... sans whodunnit ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Vacationing in Key West, exhausted after a long very hot sweaty day and now snuggling up with this book in the ac while my family watches a movie. Hopefully I can manage at least a chapter before I fall asleep
Such a summery page turner. A fast paced whodunit set in Nantucket with characters that had surprising depth. I loved the setting, made me feel both like I was really there and also that I needed to visit. This was the perfect summer getaway.
Perfect summer read! Halfway through, enjoying so far. A little intrigue, a little romance, a little island, a (maybe) little murder . . .
This was a great beach/summer read...fast paced, shifting perspectives, Nantucket mystery. Digs into the perceptions and realities of several relationships, has just the right amount of wealth and luxury without being pretentious, and was just fun to read! I enjoyed following the detectives along with their investigation, and all the secrets they unintentionally discover along the way. #summerreading #booksandsun #livingthatdecklife
I rolled my eyes SO hard when my online book club picked this for June‘s book.
BUT DEAR GOD. YOU GUYS.
This book is juicy and ridiculous and scandalous and just completely absurd and I loved it. I just couldn‘t believe the author kept fitting more ridiculous shit in. LOVED.
This was exactly what I expected of it. A well written whodunit with a good cast of characters. I figured out halfway who murdered the maid of honor on the night before the wedding but there were enough storylines to keep me reading on feverishly.
On the road this long weekend and I‘m digging this fun mystery. Although, to be fair, I have seen EVERYTHING coming, but there‘s still time for a surprise. 😉
I need a moment to celebrate:
Ya girl is done with statistics forever!! And with an A! And it's springtime with all the flowers outside! 😄
I celebrated with rereading a bit of my new favorite guilty pleasure author, and enjoyed a glass of wine with it.
Being done with what was easily one of the most difficult classes I've ever taken is such a relief! 😌 Now I just need to finish all my other projects and papers...

Okay so I started to read this book on my Kindle (bottom pic) then decided to switch over to the book form (top pic) and noticed This! Why do they do this?? Why aren‘t both versions the same? 🥺
Dragged my husband along for #litsywalkers today. Stopped for refreshments about 1/2 way through our brisk 3 mile stroll! #currentlyreading
