Started this #audiobook and got through three hours in my first sitting. Seems very Beauty and the Beast so far. I like it, waiting for some action to start soon.

I have this book on kindle, IRL and audio- and with my brain fog lifting (thanks to HRT) I decided to reread and see if i still enjoyed it - and I did. I love a Beauty and The Beast type story and really enjoyed the Fae and storyline. It made a huge difference having all three formats available.
I went in with low expectations because it is so popular. I was delightfully surprised by this book and I enjoyed the story and love interest. My only complaint would be the slower pacing in the beginning.
I finally got around to reading this. While the book was really fun and I still am curious as to what happens next, I just felt like some things were ridiculous. The twist/big reveal was pretty obvious and a little bit too manipulated for the sake of making it make sense with everything that‘s happened. I did enjoy the second half a lot though, and I love how dark and gory it is. It‘s not a cute story, it‘s ugly in a good way. Also Nesta>>>>>>>
Margot Robbie has hinted that there might be a screen adaption of 'A Court of Thorns and Roses' coming our way.
Last year, she was spotted with the author of the series Sarah J. Maas after news of a previous TV series with Hulu fell through.
When asked if her production company is creating a series on the hugely popular books, Margot replied: "We all need that - the world needs that. I'll see what I can do."

Great read. Not my typical read. Bought entire series.looking forward to next book. 4 of 5 stars
"Be glad of your human heart, Feyre. Pity those who don't feel anything at all.”
While I loved the character building during this book, and how the actual story went, I liked the rest of the books in this series more. The first book felt, to me, more like a setup for the real story, than the actual story. On that note, I couldn't put this (or any other of this series) book down!
“It took me a long while to realize that Rhysand, whether he knew it or not, had effectively kept me from shattering completely.”

Audible had this available for free 🤷🏻♀️ and I need a book with a dragon 🐉 for the #AsheCoNCReadingChallenge2024 AND I am excited that my Converse 💙🌊 arrived AND I am excited that my shrimp 🦐 🌱 plant has a new flower 🌸 AND that my heart has some hope.
This put me over 10 books behind schedule because it took me so long to get into… I will finish the series and really give it a good shot
August is so late because I started ACOTAR at the beginning and it took me SO long to get into it. I am trusting the process though

Well, darnn. Since the state of Utah is banning this book, I guess I'll have to read it. I'm not big on YA romance but if the story is good enough I'll give it a try. I HATE banning books.
Statewide ban?? What country do we live in again?

1. I‘m a day late but have to piggyback on @dabbe answer with podcast for the purpose of wearing jammies, it‘s my usual WFH wear unless I have a dreaded Teams meeting!
2. Tagged but my library coworkers are suggesting I listen to the dramatized audio and they did not steer me wrong on the version of The Fourth Wing saga!
Thank you for the tags @TheSpineView and @Kshakal
I stepped out of Tamlin‘s arms and kissed him softly. Tomorrow— there would be tomorrow, and an eternity, to face what I had done, to face what I shredded into pieces inside myself while Under the Mountain. But for now . . . for today. . .
“Let‘s go home,” I said, and took his hand.

I finally got around to reorganizing one of my bookshelves. This one‘s in the living room so I can admire those cool dust jackets all the time 😍
I was recommended this book and if im being honest, it really was not worth the read. The book is basic writing at best and it really has no substance.

I actually enjoyed reading this book a lot. I know there is a lot of hype for this book. I enjoyed the characters a lot. I rated this book a 4 out of 5 stars.
This had a Cinderella/Beauty and the Beast with Game of Thrones to close it out. Parts were a little slow, parts were page turners. Fantasy isn‘t my favorite genre, but good nonetheless.
I can't believe how much I have enjoyed this book. I've never really been big on reading fantasy fiction , but I loved this. I have book two lined up already.
Haven't read a fantasy book in ages and this one was the perfect choice to bring me back to the genre. I really enjoyed the characters and plot and how the book takes inspiration from so many other quality fantasy tales from the canon and yet is wonderfully fresh and exciting. Mass is a true wordsmith.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️5/5 literally finished it in 1 day 😂
4.5/5 stars
Amazing book, read in 24 hours and loved every second !
4✨This is a reread for me so I already knew I would completely enjoy this read. Still not all in for the Tamlin and Feyre match, but love this story line. Ready to reread the rest of the series. #CatsofLitsy “Catrat”
Fantasy is not my genre, but the last couple of years, I‘ve picked a popular series to tackle and this year it‘s ACOTAR. I hope I love it as much as everyone says I will! 😂

book 7 of 2024: I can kick myself for waiting so long to jump on the train and ride this ride! This book has everything- ALL THE FEELS! I loved the characters, except Nesta (yall can have her!) the world building, the plot. I feel like when she wrote this book, she wrote it with all of her readers in mind and there is alil bit of something for everyone.

There are those who seek me a lifetime but never we meet, And those I kiss but who trample me beneath ungrateful feet. At times I seem to favor the clever and the fair, But I bless all those who are brave enough to dare. By large, my ministrations are soft-handed and sweet, But scorned, I become a difficult beast to defeat. For though each of my strikes lands a powerful blow, When I kill, I do it slow …
I‘m still completely blown away that this book is such a quick read while being filled with so much detail. Feyre, Tamlin, Lucien and Rhysand all have a special place in my heart. I can‘t wait to read the next book in this series!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I spoiled myself for Mother‘s Day with a new cup from Dunkin and getting some books. My birthday is coming up Tuesday so I also got a bedroom corner bookshelf/stuffies home. Definitely will post when I receive that and get it set up. 🥰💛 Happy Mother‘s Day to all the lovely mothers out there! I hope it is filled with love, reading, and relaxation.
#ReadAway2024 #SeriesLove2024 I‘m not sure what I was expecting. It was more violent than I expected. The sacrifices made by the characters were interesting. And there were surprises about characters who became allies and their reasons for doing so. This is currently is free on Audible. The other books in this series are free until 5/31.

1. I can't do this anymore but in high school & college I was able to identify bones & their markings blindfolded. It all started when my Pre med & Forensic science teachers said they would give extra credit points to students who could be handed a bone while blindfolded and do it. I got so good at it, they wouldn't let me play anymore.
2. Tagged. All the fae in this book have unique magic.
@TheSpineView
Hmmm. I struggled with Feyre as the book progressed. She came across like a lovestruck dumb girl and it was difficult to like her because of it. Glad I kept reading, the ending has me excited for what is to come. 🤞🏻the series gets better
ACOTAR series enthusiasts, rejoice! 🏰🌹

Not for me. I understand Maas is very popular but I found this dragged. I do not find fairies in any way attractive - probably some childhood insecurity or something going on but I just cannot picture a sexy male fairy. The writing was very repetitive and cringeworthy. Not continuing with the series and should probably have bailed but I did find it improved towards the end.
I don‘t understand the hype around this book AT ALL. It had Beauty and the Beast vibes but with sub par writing. I like how witty Feyre is, although making her illiterate made no logical sense. Why try to dumb down your heroine?! The ending was predictable and the way Rhys looks at Feyre was a dead ringer for the ending in Iron Flame. Book #27 in 2024
Walking and reading… yep. I bought the digital copy so that I can take it with me everywhere! 🥰
Well, I finished reading ACOTAR and I‘m ready to read book 2. I‘m not sure about Rhysand but I‘m also not sure about Tamlin. I do like Feyre, though. #acotar #sarahjmaas
Well, Rhysand was finally introduced. I‘m not sure how I feel about him. I‘m reading the digital version of the book so I‘m up to page 250. #acotar #sarahjmaas
I (finally) caved and started the ACOTAR series.. and i am amazed it took me this long to read. I absolutely loved it! This had me branching out into the fantasy/romantasy genre. It almost reminded me of an adult fairytale - (Beauty and the Beast -esque). Can‘t wait to start the next book in the series ☺️
I finally jumped on the wagon. I was worried because from what I gathered, the story was spice driven, but I'm pleased to say it's not. I'm not against spice as long as it's not the whole point of the book. And this is not that. Already several hours deep in the next one and on the edge of my seat. If anyone wants to rant with me without spoilers please message me! Also: I always love Jennifer Ikeda ❤️
