Happy Easter to everyone on Litsy!
My new view for a couple days while hubby works on fixing the backed up plumbing in our house 🙊 Lots of unforeseen expenses, ugh. 😓 Well, my little daughter and I are making the most of it. 😬 Bible reading and working on new designs for my Etsy shop. I didn‘t bring my big beautiful Bible, just this little purse-size KJV.
Would anyone like to share thoughts /takeaways/ favorite verses from the #BibleBuddyRead‘s readings from this past week? 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon, 1 Peter, and 2 Peter 🙌🏻 #WeeklyWrapUp
Another exciting week ahead in the #BibleBuddyRead, with 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon, 1 Peter, and 2 Peter — a great book a day for week 50! 🙌🏻 And, it snowed again! So cozy for reading. ❤️

I had visitors while reading my Bible this morning 😄 🦃
Today we‘re reading about Solomon building the Temple for the Lord in 1 Kings 5-7.
I found this really helpful video that shows a digital 3D rendering of the Temple and its grounds, check it out! https://youtu.be/y2tha7ogpec

Some truly astounding drama has been unfolding in King David‘s family in yesterday‘s and today‘s readings. Today we read 2 Samuel 13-15. I don‘t know about you, but I am seeing a big shift in David, from back when he fought Goliath to these chapters when he‘s running away from his own son. 😳 Just goes to show the damaging consequences of sin! #BibleBuddyRead
#OnThisDay in 1611 the King's Printers printed the first edition of the Authorized King James Bible. While it was not the first Bible translated into English, it was the first made available to the common people of England. The influence of the KGV is such that noted atheists Christopher Hitchens and Richard Dawkins have called it "a giant step in the maturing of English literature" and "a great work of literature", respectively. #HistoryGetsLIT
The perfect reading day! A drizzly gray day just right for curling up under a blanket with a good book and a hot cuppa. 🌧 📚 ☕️ 💕
Today we‘re reading 2 Samuel 9-12. #BibleBuddyRead
It‘s time for some #WeeklyWrapUp book talk for the #BibleBuddyRead!

What was your favorite (or most memorable) verse that you read this week?
Leviticus and Numbers can be tough books to read for some of us. If you‘d like some really helpful insight and perspective on our recent readings in these books, I recommend checking out the podcast A Year in the Bible with Daily Grace.

They start covering Numbers in episode 39.
I appreciated what they shared onLeviticus too.

Merry Christmas everyone!
The Lord is good. My instagram account has been restored.
Run as far as you can. Sure you could read it, but there are so many other ways to waste your time.
And you will be hated by all because of my name. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.
Suppose one of you has only one sheep and it falls into a put on the sabbath; will you not lay hold of it and lift it out? How much more valuable is a human being than a sheep! So it is lawful to do good on the sabbath.
#ForeverNovember challenge day 18: Tradition
Always having my grandpa read the Christmas story from the Bible every Christmas as we all gathered around and listened.
This book is one I will never finish reading. It is my life, no matter what other books I may read (or write) this is the one that matters most.

Day 4 of 7: Books that made a lasting impression on me
This is a book that I read differently than any other. It‘s always close at hand and one I pick up frequently. My Bible is a book of guidance and a book of comfort.
I‘m not feeling like tagging anyone today, but feel free to join in if you want to participate.

Happy Easter! I started my day with an Easter devotional and scripture while watching the sunrise. Then I had breakfast and online church on my front steps. I‘m so glad it‘s not raining this morning so I could have my Easter morning outside.
Thanks for the tag @Lcsmcat !❤

John 16:33 I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.

I do not intend on offending anyone. If it does, I will delete. I, and others, take comfort in these words.
Day 10: A book that makes you cry happy tears
I‘ve always wanted to read the New Testament, especially around the holidays, and I finally did it this year — mainly thanks to #24b42020. Thanks for the last-minute push!

Found this beautiful little Holy Bible Edition amongst my fathers books 😍 Presented to an, 'Alfred Duke' on leaving school in 1924, July 29th.
I feel privileged to own such a treasure and I will forever be amazed at owning something with this much age and history behind it! ❤️
“Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.“ James 4:14
He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not. 11 He came into His own, and His own received Him not.12 But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:10-13
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In Him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. John 1:1-5
He is not here, for He is risen!! Happy Easter!
