“Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart.“ - A.A. Milne
my dog is named after Winnie because of how big of an impact this story has on my family!
A.A. Milne's tales about Pooh and friends teach kids about friendship and problem-solving. They can be used in class to talk about being a good friend, solving problems together, and being true to yourself. I love winnie the pooh and have grown up on it. I would absolutely love to incorporate it into a classroom
The story is so fun and whimsical and it just made me feel so nostalgic. Pooh and all is friends are so endearing and I love every single one of them (Eeyore being my fav). I was surprised to discover that Tigger is not in this book; he appears in the sequel. I was so charmed by all the characters that I actually didn‘t notice his absence until the last chapter.

Feeling like I've stepped back in a Korean level which is kinda sad but I'm going through everything the next couple of days.
Come on brain, must remember.
New book to help, Winnie The Pooh in Korean
I think I never read this as a child but was otherwise familiar with these characters & world. And they are still lovely. I love how different they're and still find the way to work as a team. Everyone can be themselves.

2 ⭐ Sometimes we should NOT revisit childhood classics. This was a case of the wrong book at the wrong time. I thought I knew most everything there was in the Winnie the Pooh stories. I grew up reading them or having them read to me. I grew up watching the many versions on the Disney channel, from the original animated to the puppet interpretation, this was my childhood. I looked forward to revisiting this, and the idea of the Fireside Chat.

Thanks for the tag @Eggs 💜
I am so thankful & grateful for this community. The brightest spot on the internet.
I like to read series in publication order, so read this book first before the March #ChildrensClassicRead2022 pick. Upon finishing, I realized it‘s actually the 2nd book in the series!😂No matter, it was very sweet and reminded me of simpler times.❤️ 4/5⭐️
These are the books that entered the public domain on Jan. 1. Personally I‘m hoping for an amazing leather bound copy of Winnie the Pooh, to go with my copy I still have from Christmas 1957.
I've been reading this with the kids for the last couple of weeks and we just finished it. I think I got more out of it than they did, because it felt very nostalgic... but they were perfect, calm bedtime stories. Their favorite was the story where Piglet had to be rescued from the flood. #raisingreaders
@DebinHawaii the kids LOVE the bookmarks you got them!!!! They say thank you!
We are starting Winnie the Pooh tonight, so Nina is "pre-reading" it to her teddies. Her version is about a bear named Harvest and he's kind of a troublemaker. Lane is flipping through The Princess in Black, and getting annoyed with his sister for being too loud ?? #raisingreaders
I chose this for the next goodnight-read to my daughter but bailed and finished it by myself. Maybe I expected something completely different but this feels like a children‘s book for adults. I had a really hard time reading/telling the stories out loud.
❤️ Happy Valentine‘s ❤️

Finished It yesterday night. What an adorabile story!
I've always loved Pooh and his gang, though l had only watched the TV show up to now. Even as a kid, l loved the nonsense and the gentile plots.
It's a lighthearted world, but there's depth too. The episode where Isaia gets his birthday presents, for example, moisted my eyes.
So happy l finally read It.
#FellowshipOfTolkien this remainder me so much of the Letters from Father Christmas.
I remember that l really loved Pooh when l was a kid, though l watched it on tv, never read it before. So l'm quite excited to finally read it.
Due to all the restrictions here in Italy over the Christmas period, my sister won't be able to spend Christmas with us. So we decided we'll celebrate together in January, when the lockdown will be over.
Gifts are postoned, then.
So l decided to get something for myself that l wanted to get for a long time.
Braver, Smarter, Stronger. A good mantra to keep in mind going into 2021.

Yesterday, my dad would have been 59. In honor of his memory I got a tattoo for him. He had a tiger tattoo on his arm, and being a huge Winnie the Pooh fan growing up, I got the OG Tigger. The sunflowers are for my favorite memory that makes me chuckle every time.
I hope everyone has a wonderful (hopefully snowy) winter.
Thanks for the tag @JennyM 😘
1. I would have chosen Winnie the Pooh if you hadn‘t have beaten me to it Jenny! So instead I‘ll go with Eeyore - suits the current mood!
2. Yes, it varies. Usually a dusting or a couple of inches here and there - it doesn‘t usually hang around for long.
I‘m late so play along if you‘d like to!
Thanks for the tag @Trashcanman 😘 @TheSpineView
1. Winnie the Pooh - the wisest bear🐻🍯
2. I live in sunny Queensland, so no snow for me. I miss it❄️
Fancy playing @squirrelbrain @KarenUK ?
#Two4Tuesday
I picked this up as a free audiobook somewhere along the line, and I finally listened to it on my evening walks yesterday and today. Between listening to the news and keeping up with teaching virtually this week, I was in the mood for a lighter listen. It wasn‘t anything that wowed me, but it was enjoyable and nostalgic as I remember watching the cartoons as a kid.

Wizard of Oz for depicting women in strong leadership roles?? Really? I hope there's more to that story.
People say nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

#3Books ...with animals on the cover
For this one I picked books that were childhood favorites because this prompt immediately evoked some nostalgia for me. Though there are lots of good adult books with animals on the cover, too.

Listened to the audiobook narrated by Peter Dennis with the girls. The stories are wonderful, of course, but I really did not like Piglet‘s constant snorting.
