Well, after over 24 hours and the power finally popped on at 2:30! Yay! While not totally terrible to be without, I enjoy my electricity perks. 😬 I enjoyed my time with Lizzy and Darcy this morning and can now catch up with friends via internet and a charged phone. 😁 Hope others will get their power back soon as well.

shortsarahrose Glad to hear you got power! I‘m still waiting for mine, but right now I‘m just please that my phone has connected to data (was so spotty yesterday), so I can see some news (and check litsy 😆). 5y

katy4peas @shortsarahrose MidAmerican is hoping by late Thursday to have restored power to most people, but they said by noon on Saturday if not Thursday. Hang in there! The worst part for me was knowing my food might have been spoiling 😢 and the fact that I couldn‘t get any data to connect my phone at all because the cell towers were also damaged. Glad you have some data. That helps! Hang in there! 5y

shortsarahrose @katy4peas we have Alliant Energy for power here, but hopefully their timeline is similar. I just did my fridge clean out and then deep cleaned it (because what else is there to do with the power out?) 5y

You would think that 5 days without power after a freakish 20 inch snowstorm leads to unlimited reading time. Nope. Schools and offices have been closed and EVERYONE has been home 😱. Thankfully the schools got power again and are open tomorrow!
