pickI really enjoyed stepping back into my childhood of reading comics. Although I guess they are more grown up "graphic novel". Buffy was one of my favorite shows & I still watch on Netflix. Looking forward to reading Vol 2

Holy shit 😱😱 for the last 20 yrs Buffy's license has been owned by Dark Horse comics. Alllllllllll the Buffy comics ever published have been done by Dark Horse. But at the end of this year their license is expiring and Buffy is moving over to Boom! Studios and this is a ~very big deal~ I WONDER WHAT HER COMICS WILL BE LIKE AT BOOM OMG

I‘m enjoying this. It‘s got the Whedon trademark kickass ladies, but it also has great illustrations and the dialogue is spot on.
pickEvery year I have do a Buffy marathon in memoriam to my brother who was a fan and usually it's the show but this year I decided to go with the comics and this vol was a pretty good start.
Dawn got introduced early and I found out what happened to Pike, which not gonna lie, I'm disappointed to know now.😞

pickThis was a lot of fun for me because I was a huge fan of the 90's movie with Kristy Swanson but never watched the TV series (I saw a few snippets here & there but never enough to grab my full attention). It was exciting to see what happened *after* the movie ended and I'll probably grab the next book, which could lead to me finally watching the TV series eventually.
Feel the need for some lighter reading right now.

Happy Free Comic Book Day, Littens! I haven't been able to participate for a few years, so I made up for lost time by making a couple of stops. And one of my local comic shops was accepting canned food donations for extra comics! I took a bag, of course. So awesome.
I am currently stuck in an endless loop of book-watch Buffy- book- watch Buffy. Such a vicious but satisfying cycle.

Doing some slight post-Christmas organizing. I needed more room on my bookshelf so I decided to give my comics a small bookshelf of their own.
A splintered piece of wood led to the discovery that a couple of the young ladies I work with are Buffy nerds and great conversation ensued. I guess I'm quite the Buffy nerd myself😉
