I picked this one up on a whim because the book I had chosen for #2006 for #19822022 challenge was actually published in 2005. I didn‘t realize this was part of a series and I probably would have liked it even more if I had read the other books. There‘s a little bit of mystery, romance, laughter and a whole lot of Christmas! Short, fast read! #winterreadathon

I made it halfway through this one before bailing for better things. I didn't love the characters & wasn't interested in the plot. This is the 3rd book in a series so maybe if I had read the first two I would have cared more

This book was cute, but just kind of was. There was good plot pieces sprinkled throughout but nothing that was drastic enough to hold the whole story. Super fast read and heartwarming moments. Another book done for my #AVeryMerryBingo board, too!

I had no idea that “Blue Christmas” was more than Elvis‘s song. Or that the winter Solstice, the longest day of the year, was also celebrated by early Christians as “Blue Christmas”, a day to honor grief/darkness-later part of advent traditions.

It‘s Christmas morning here in Queensland. Have a wonderful Christmas to those who celebrate. I had my children over last night and today is the bigger family event (over an hours drive away). Merry Christmas and blessings of the Summer Solstice 🎄✨

LOVE stories of others decorating. I wasn't raised celebrating Christmas (that's another post) so I've had to make my own traditions. I have my Pfaltzgraff Winterberry dishes out and Poinsettias everywhere. I reread Blue Christmas every year just for the decorations, music and recipes. Crazy family story is hilarious bonus.

Tropical Storm Cindy is putting a damper on my beach vacation.

Having worked retail for more years than I care to mention, I'm not a huge Christmas fan. But I do love a heartwarming Christmas novella. No surprise, MKA delivers one. Laugh out loud funny. Once again, the whole family wanted to know what I was giggling about.
